Great location! 2 min from the Republica Metro station. 5 min from the shuttle bus stop (to the international airport). My deluxe room was large. The bathroom was also spacious. The furniture was rather oldfashioned. Wi-fi worked properly. There is a restaurant downstairs which is opened till the late evening. Nice place for a city tour or a business trip. The City centre and all metro connections right at your doorstep. The price (around 100$ per double) seems to be very reasonable.

The hotel seems to be rather old. May be some furniture, carpeting and walls look tired.

The feeling that this place has not changed for attleast 40 years.. This goes for the staff too. Retro, but not in a fake way. Was like staying at my grandmothers place, all original fittings etc. "Ultra modern" control centre next to the bed has to be seen to be beleived.. Location was close to Sunday markets.

How does this Hotel have 4 stars? The fact that I decided to stay here and not a more modern hotel for the same price.

Great staff. Extremely Friendly and Helpful.

The hot tub was broken and my "free breakfast" ended up being an extra $R22 a day!

I like the Staff. They were very efficient. I like the cleanliness and the fruits at breakfast.

I dislike the way egg was put together with bacon in the same dish.

    The location.

It is an old hotel wich needs urgently refurbishment. No safe in the rooms Internet does not work in the rooms. Old and loud airconditioning

Location. For my purposes, it was excellent because I spent one week working in an office near Praça da República.

Hotel could improve the quality of the facilities offered to guests, like better towels, shampoo (there is no one), etc. The breakfast is fair, but could be a little bit better also.

Clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet was good, staff were helpful

The place is incredibly dated and in need for updating!

A 4-star hotel in spirit. Staff - extremely professional, particularly in the restaurant. All very friendly and helpful. Breakfast - excellent - yummy scrambled eggs, fresh and sweet fruit. Juice too watery. Location - 3 minute walk to metro. Walkable distance to most attractions - even Paulista if you really want. Would definitely come back if I were to stay in the Centro - however for security concerns I would probably consider staying in Paulista or Jardin area next time.

Very tired and dated facilities. Dark corridors; shaky door lock; no window lock - which was the biggest problem because we were on 3rd floor and although unlikely, there was possibility of break-in. Ask for rooms on higher floors would avoid this problem. The surrounding streets are a little scary with many homeless people.

I (a single woman) needed to walk through the Republic Plaza to Airport Bus station at 10:00pm. Although it was only 5 minute, they proactively send a staff accompanied me. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

As within the center of the city, there is no view and very close to the other buidlings. I have to close the curtain all the times.

Staff Friendly and Helpful. Location is Perfect for City Ventures. Comfortable. Everybody complains about the area being unsafe at night, We found it fine and not as desperate as everybody implies, as long as you walk around accompanied or in a group it is no worse than any other Big City in the world.

Rooms are a little Dated. Breakfast is Good but a little more Variety would be appreciated.
