Located in the city centre. Nice big rooms with a big balcony. Very friendly and supportive staff
The building is a bit old but clean and fairly well maintained
Location perfect with all major sights in walking distance; architecture (due to shortcoming on time we could not make it to Brasilia so I was able to show my guest at least a piece) free parking space in front of hotel
I was expecting a bit more space in the room - was ok for one night stay and last minute booking;
The hotel was designed by Oscar Niemeyer, famous Brazilian architect and has a 50’s style look and feel. It is very well located with a beautiful view of the valley. Excellent breakfast. Price is reasonable.
Needs a remodel to modernize.
Highly recommend -Location fantastic Check in staff / Reception helped me book a ongoing hotel as I struggled to speak Portuguese, and called 5 places on my behalf late one evening, helped so much even though busy, extremely great service and helpful. - The town is on the doorstep, could not be better located! - Pool was nice , cold but it was Winter, still very clean and refreshing! -Breakfast lady was very kind and food was nice
- The hotel was having a refurb, and they they did there best to keep noise and dust to a minimum. - Maybe offer Tea making facilities free in the rooms ?
Rooms were very nice, and the hotel has history involving Oscar Niemer which was very interesting. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was a bit strange!! Cold Bolognese sauce? Some may find decor is also a bit dated, but I liked that!!
Location Friendliness of front desk staff
Had a problem with a bathroom and it took more than a day for the staff to fix Room was very simple and dated Very slow wifi
It's been a privilege to stay at this hotel. Fantastic two floor suite with great view over the city from the living and great sunrise in the morning in the upper floor room.
The location is good, it is close to everything. It was also interesting to live in a Niemeyer building. The views from the balcony are very nice.
We stayed during Easter, so the prices were high. But even with that in mind, the price seemed very steep. The rooms architecturally interesting, but worn. The breakfast was poor.
Nice building, but needs selective renovation Great location, nice view, friendly staff Nice restaurant
Poor WiFi connection
place in town, service,
The location was good. The staff was friendly.
Very small beds. No air conditioning. In order to cool the room, the windows must be left open which exposes you to the extreme noise of the city! Not secure(due to open windows) The rooms were VERY musty/mildewy.
Location is superb. The hotel itself is an art masterpiece.
Location,view, restaurant, parking
This hotel could be a very nice place. But since it is maintained very badly, it is like a youth hostel. Our rooms didn't have airco, the beds were terrible, and the bathroom old. We had the small room with no view. The bigger rooms with two floors were full. We looked inside and they look a little better. Nevertheless, it is better to enjoy the architecture by visiting the the lobby and the restaurant and stay in another hotel.
We paid slightly more to upgrade to a junior suite and it was well worth it. The room was amazing over two floors. A big double bedroom and huge bathroom upstairs and then a living room with two sofas and a table downstairs and a balcony with a beautiful view over city. The staff were really friendly and breakfast was great. Its also in a great location in the centre, 2 minutes from the main square.
Nothing! I have no complaints, it was great.
great location and value; buffet breakfast with lots of variety, tasty.
can't think of a thing
To stay in Oscar Niemeyers hotel is a must for people who like achitecture
Great view, lovely to wake up with the sound of birdsong. Nice size room (we had a standard duplex)
Not very well insulated for sound. A little cool at night, with no heating.
history of the hotel
Ab-so-lu-te-ly helpful and friendly staff! We needed to book some bus tickets upfront (as a foreigner it wasn't possible to do it online) and the hotel staff bought the tickets for us without even having seen us before! Moreover the breakfast buffet is gorgeous and the hotel is just a Niemeyer beauty!!!!!!!! Oh, and it's in the very center of the village as well...
The wifi didn't work. The staff tried to fix it, but it didn't work. We only stayed one night, so it's possible that we just had bad luck.
