Staff were friendly, cordial, and helpful. The property is charmingly decorated and well located. Breakfast was delicious.
The room I stayed in ("Rua Vista" I think?) was noisy. Both street noise and the comings and goings of other guests are audible. I was sufficiently exhausted that this didn't bother me but if you are a light sleeper, I recommend requesting a different room.
Great staff, beautiful decor, good food, clean and comfortable
Good location close to convenience store, pharmacy and some nice restaurants. Short walk to the metro line, which can get you to anywhere in the city. Nice touch to have robes in rooms without ensuites, so it's easy to get to the shared bathroom. Staff always friendly. Very nice interiors too.
Personal are so friendly and kindly
Wifi sign is not the best
Beautiful, cozy and chamber Guesthouse, very nice and helpful stuff, tasty breakfast. I’m recommending at all!
This hostel is incredible - it exceeded all our expectations. The hotel is very contemporary, chic and funky with bright coloured furniture, windows etc. The rooms are contemporary - huge bed, white fluffy pillows with bright coloured throw pillows, mini bar fridge!!! and a tv! The bathroom is lovely, sooo spacious and clean with super hot water. The kitchen area is awesome, fully equipped and spacious, there is a gorgeous courtyard area you can sit, relax etc. Breakfasts are DIVINE, freshly squeezed orange juice, home-made delicious cake like lemon, lime or orange, beautiful ham and cheese and gorgeous home made breads 3 different types plus butters, James, coffee and tea. The area where you have breakfast is delightful, you can sit outside looking onto the street or alternatively inside all with cutlery, contemporary bright blue tablecloths. The wifi here is perfect, throughout all the common area and room. It's super clean, fresh fluffy white towels are given everyday and the bed and Room is tided daily. The restaurant/cafe on site is open all day and serves simple but delicious meals, drinks and antipasto platters. The location is great, a block away is a really nice restaurant, grocery stores, pharmacy, bank and the metro is about 6 blocks walk away. For only 148R a night it's a steal! If you are coming to São Paulo, don't stay anywhere else!
The hostel is beautifully decorated, comfortable, friendly and safe.
They double booked one of the rooms - it worked out well for me because they gave me the better room but I don´t know what would have happened if they had been full!
Very friendly staff. Most of them spoke fluent english. They helped us greatly. You have to try their caiperinha, it was excellent.
Bad wifi reception on the room
Staff was very helpful and spoke good English, as our Portuguese was quite poor. Cute place... would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Sao Paulo that wants to spend a bit less on accommodation but not sacrifice style and comfort
Internet was extremely slow... when it was working. Breakfast was very average- could benefit with some fruit and a couple more options
Visually the hostel was great. The walls are covered in beautiful wallpaper, the whole building is bright and colourful. Each room is unique with a high level of design detail. The rooms are small but they are cosy and perfectly designed to make use of the space. The hallways and dinning room have interesting books, artwork, lamps and glassware making the place feel like you are staying in a beautiful home rather than a hostel.
Unfortunately the beauty of the hostel is let down by the disorganised staff. While the staff were lovely people, they were all incredibly disorganised making the duration of our stay slightly annoying. The main problem is that the reception desk is located behind the bar / restaurant which is also open to the public. This often meant the member of staff was torn between attending to the hostel guest at reception or someone wanting a drink from the bar. There was no shortage of members of staff, but it was unclear who was in charge of what and we often had to ask the same question to 3 different people before getting an answer. Breakfast is poor compared to other hostels we stayed at throughout Brazil. Ordering a coffee at breakfast was hard work - once we waited 40mins for our coffee to arrive, another time the coffee was cold, another time the milk was off. Overall this hostel is all style and no substance.
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, good English spoken. Advised re buses and metro Near to best shopping street I came across in S America ( Oscar Frere). Food /drink available without having to go out Don't think I could have coped in small basement room if staying long time...
No wi fi in room downstairs Shared bathroom - could reconfigure downstairs to make private? Very dark to see where to put key for room Karolina Bom Could have done with smaller bed in room to give more room to move about. Manageable for one person but not sure how 2 could cope. Told taxis come in 5-10 mins of calling but in reality it took over 30 mins....
Friendly staff, very clean and tidy room, relatively quiet neighborhood.
Lukewarm coffee :-(
great place! very nice design ;-) very helpful staff, breakfasts ok
more fruits for the breakfast ;-)
Beautiful decoration in all details, very supportive and friendly staff, good food in the hostel restaurant, 24h availability at the front desk, no extra cost for a friend who joined my double room for 2 days
nothing really important in the price value level, but if there was something: the facilities of the deluxe room (bathroom & toilet) were very small, shower not getting really hot
Breakfasts were awesome! It was great to have breakfast -- also drinks and appetizers -- on the patio. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My 22-yr-old daughter and I felt safe with the night watchman there to unlock the door.
This comment concerns your questionnaire, not the hotel: I didn't feel any of the options for the first question applied to me -- single mother traveling with 22 yr-old daughter. There should be a category labelled Other.
Guesthouse looks very nice and is in a very good spot.
Staff doesn't speak English!
The guest House was very clourful and clean.
Not all Staff could speak englisch.
Quite simply my girlfriend and I love this hotel. It is charming, the decor is fantastic and the whole vibe of the place is great. Would highly recommend. Excellent value for money
Very small thing but there is no soap or shampoo. A drugstore across the street but would seems like a silly thing not to have at a hotel.
Really great place Wonderful decoration And style Very friendly And helpful staff, especially diegu Great breakfast
Great trendy atmosphere
try book a room upstairs not downstairs, they seem to be better
Wonderful decoration, comfortable and very clean. The decoration is artistic and very cool. The food is good and the included breakfast is ok (good, but with no much options).
The staff-attendents is one of the worst I've seen in a hostel. They aren't friendly and very unprepared, specially the blond girl on the reception. She is rude and arrogant. The hostel deserve a better staff! I am sure if the cleaning woman worked in the reception would be much better (at least much happier and friendly). The rooms under the reception are noisy. There are floorboards above which meant that every step and movement of chairs can be heard very loudly. But at night it's fine.
