The location of this hotel is awesome, 5 minutes from the airport on taxi, 15 minuts from the iguazu park walking, 5 minuts by taxi. It is very convenient if your intention is visit the falls. The room was nice and clean. The food was good and they have some live music in the nights so you can enjoy some caipirinas while listening. Be sure that they will pick you up in the airport. I try to contact them on several occasions to be sure they will pick us up and in the end when we arrived we had to take a cab, it wasn't a big deal, but I was disappointed since they said they provided the service, plus I think the taxi guys really took advantage of us since we were foreigners.

Comfortably close to the Brazilian Iguacu Falls, which zou could walk 800 to 1000m or bus ca. Every 20 min. 1 stop. Hotel charges 30 r$ service O.K. charge unnecessary for that distance. To Argentianian side charge r$ 140,00 for 4 people, about 1 hour depeding on trafie and border controls. From Foz do Iguacu (ttu central local bus station)bus to Falls. Hotel rooms simple, but clean.

Very close to the Park of the Birds (800m) and the entrance to the National Park (the Waterfalls) - 1000m. It is 20 km from the city though, but there is a bus to downtown for about 3-4 reais. You do not need to go to the city unless you want to go to Itaipu or Argentina. Very clean. The dinner buffet was good (28 reais extra). The staff is very helpful. If booking through booking.com, two free transfers to the airport (to and back). Free wi-fi. Checking in took half an hour after being told "5 minutes".

Staff! People were really nice, the hotel wasn't very busy but staff were amazing, very friendly and even though they didn't speak much English (not even on the reception) they were trying to understand and comunicate. Especially bar staff. Lovely people! The hotel looked bit worn out, it was clean and tidy but it looked really old.

Fantastic value for money with comfortable rooms. It is out of town but very near the Brazilian entrance to the park. There is a tour office desk in reception who can arrange all visits to the tours but if you want to do any activities, it's cheaper to buy in the park. The evening buffet is good food and very cheap (at least compared to Sao Paulo prices). Definitely recommend. Some of the staff were not particularly friendly. If you stayed more then a weekend the distance from town might be frustrating since it restricts evening eating choices.

This hotel has a great location within 1 km to the national park. The staff here are excellent attending to every need . Not many people understood English at the restaurant etc which made it hard to communicate. Overall nothing negative otherwise.

The location to the Falls is great! You can walk there. The hotel personnel were very nice and helpful at times - very hit or miss. There is a great pool with a bar. Check-out was crazy and very unorganized - allow for extra time. The staff when there are a lot of people can get overwhelmed and short with you. The rooms are old and very noisy.

Nothing It was sterile, ugly, awful beds and pillows. Mediocre breakfast and both coffee machines were not working until I asked 5 times. There's lots of places near the park. Try another.

The hotel was extremely near to the Brazilian side of the iguazu falls, we walked the 1 km to the entrance. It was also very convenient fir the airport being just a km or so away and the hotel provided a courtesy car to take you there. The hotel is a not tired looking. You have to remember that the hotel is near the airport and people are always coming and going. The room we were given was near a thru corridor going towards reception and so was quite noisy with cases and footsteps travelling along much of the time. Also there had been a storm the day before we arrived which had damaged their boiler so there was no hot water when we arrived - but they failed to mention this to us on checking in! Luckily it was fixed by the next morning.

Quiet location, good breakfast selection, nice pool area The gym was basic, the sauna was not working during our stay and there was a charge for the internet (everywhere else we stayed in South America had this service for free). Only one staff member spoke English which made communication difficult

The Colonial was an excellent bargain stay, close to Iguacu visitors centre. I walked the 1km along the road to the visitor centre & it wasn't so bad - there's a wide verge, so I felt quite safe. The airport pick-up & drop-off is a huge savings. Do include your flight info inthe note section. Please note that the hotel has a shuttle bus, so don't expect a sign with your name on it... You have to look for the Harbor Colonial shuttle van. The corridors and rooms were clean & functional; if you want luxury near the falls, you've got to pay much more. The hotel has a restaurant & cafe, so the food choices are not too limited. The reception staff spoke good English & the other staff tried. All hotel staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I had an electrical short in my room & I was immediately upgraded. Good wi-fi. The Colonial is very family friendly, so expect a lot of kids in the public areas. It was my misfortune that my initial room was in a corridor with a few infants, who woke up crying during the night. The hotel seemed populated with tourists from South America; I assume that other English speakers must go either more expensive or much cheaper.

Good modern refurbished rooms, excellent service and buffet breakfast spread. Proximity to the falls meant we could walk to iguacu in 20 minutes, bypassing the city A bit on the noisy side due to the building layout as well as the large number of children in this family friendly resort.

“The staff was very friendly. The location for seeing the Falls is excellent. It is outside of town, but there is not much to see in town anyways. The restaurant was good, breakfast, which is included, was very nice, and we could be to the Brazilian falls and Bird park in about 5 minutes. My children also enjoyed the pool and playground. ” Megan, Sorocaba |

“We stayed at Bella Italia for 4 nights while visiting incredible Iguacu Falls, the largest falls in the world. We chose the hotel based on a review that we had read that described how caring and helpful the staff were. It was true! Everyone at the main desk spoke English and were especially kind to answer our many questions and to give personal service, even arranging transportation to the Bufalo Branco Charrascaria which they recommended to us (outstanding!) They helped us to use the public bus system to visit the Brasil side of the falls, and a tourist desk in the lobby provided us with an excellent tour to the Argentina side of the falls. We stayed in a lovely suite and the entire hotel's decor is very tasteful. Speaking of "taste" the Italian buffet on Wed. & Sat. nights is amazing and well priced for such a meal. There is a buffet of salads, entrees, and desserts and then strolling servers offer a myriad of various other Italian entrees at your table. Come hungry! The breakfast buffet is fabulous and like nothing I've ever seen in the USA, with at least 40 ft. of available hot and cold items to choose from. We highly recommend Bella Italia for your visit to breathtaking Iguacu Falls!” John, Lebanon |
