Score from 490 reviews Very good
The facility is not new but very confertable with wide room and bed. Considering it, the room rate is very reasonable. The breakfast room is little bit small but the breakfast itself is good.
Because of the location as city center which is not safety and a night spot, it is noisy during midnight caused by drunk mens. Thus not recommended for whom minds such circumstance.
The room was spacious and well furnished with very comfortable beds, chairs and a couch. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was always delicious.
Getting out of the lift on the 5th floor into the dark foyer was not ideal. There was a sensor light which did come on, but you needed to walk around to activate it. The kitchen area was great but would have been even better with some crockery (plates) and cutlery.
Excellent breakfast and good location
Size of the single bed for a big person was 'challenging'....
Wi fi was intermittent
Very good breakfast; Comfortable and big double bed; Clean and cozy;
The staff booked a twin instead of a double; The shower was very cold, so it was impossible to use it properly;
Even though the staff did not speak much English they really tried to be as helpful as possible, and accommodated our every need. The breakfast was good, and there is a great Italian restaurant just around the corner. The rooms were comfortable but not flashy. We could walk almost everywhere we needed to go.
The wifi in the room was weak.
Reasonable rate, clean hotel.
No wifi in the room. Had to go downstairs to pick up wifi signal.
perfect location in the center of Porto Alegre. Will come again.
The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The airlines lost my luggage, and the staff helped me by calling the airline several times and helping me track it down. It really made a difference to have such warm and effective assistance when dealing with that situation. The location was good in that it was easy to get cabs to go to my conference. The staff was helpful in calliing cabs for me and there were no problems with transportation on that score. I speak Portuguese, so was able to communicate easily with the staff. I'm not sure how well they speak English.
The room was basic, which is what I expected for the price. The wifi was a bit weak in the room, but when I went down to the reception area it worked fine.
Very good location with easy transportation to everywhere, friendly staff, cleanliness, ample rooms and very good internet. It is one of the places with best cost/benefits ratio I had stayed.
Breaksfast is OK but has few options and did not vary between days. For a stay of a couple of days it is fine. But for longer stays (a week, like my case), it becomes boring.
Central location, helping staff, good breakfast
Poor internet connection - wifi signals were very poor. Old A/Cs. Picture quality of TV channels was poor. Very few TV channels.
Was fine for what we needed, was just a stop off before Rio.
The impersonal feeling of the hotel
nice breakfast and nice shower
the bed was very bad and the tv did not work properly
The location was good because the Historic Center has everything close by
English was a huge problem for us as non of the staff were able to communicate. We used the hotel computer on "google translate" to type up what we needed to know.
The staff were very helpful. Not all spoke english but no problem google translator fixed that...the main thing was that they wanted to help and found a way around language. One employee Mara who did speak good english was outstanding and couldn't help enough. She is a fine ambassador for this hotel.
There is a bar next door and street can be a bit noisy. Try to avoid 2nd floor..be higher up and would be less of an issue.
Reasonable lunch and dinner menu. Gym was very limited but was OK for my purposes. Staff friendly and welcoming. WI-FI was generally very good and I used it a lot - a few cut outs.
After 6 days the same (somewhat limited) buffet breakfast became a bit tedious. Movement sensors (to switch on lights) were too insensitive. It was 8 steps from my room to the elevator and the first 4 of these were in pitch darkness.
The hotel was very clean and the room was nice for the price
My Booking reservation talked about a balcony and wifi in all areas. There was no balcony and the wifi did not work in the room
Room is large, confortable, de Wc is very good, the staff very nyce. Good location. Wifi ate the all the hotel, but fi you dont have your oun PC, There is not a computer center.
There is not many atctivites in side, there is not a computer center to use you need heve your PC. I would recommend the hotel restaurant, serving in the breakfast room natuirais juices instead of artificial juices
