To make the receptionist understand I had to bring neighbour shopownwer to speak on my behalf . Staff did not know even yes/no word of english. It should be recommended only for local / brazilian only, not for international tourists.

The only good thing about this hostel is there is a good juice shop a few doors down. Our room was dirty with an ash tray full of cigarettes and bugs. The booking.com ad states there is breakfast and wifi in all areas - the hotel has neither breakfast or reliable internet. The staff is helpful and unfriendly, they gave me Incorrect times on tourist attractions, and incorrect bus numbers. The one person that spoke English walked away from me when I asked a question. Even the manager was rude when I asked him about breakfast. The hostel is close to bus station...but not close enough to walk it is in a very dangerous and scary location. Do not waste your money here.

Very poor ventilation in the rooms. Receptionist woke me up at midnight, so I paid the room. Previously, he assured me that everything is paid. The high price of a standard room.

Only the value of money and its location near metro station. The staff are not helpful. No body could speak English. They even don't know how to treat with tourist. I do not know how Booking.com let this no-star hotel (not hostel) be in their list. They have two types of room: with cooler and with fans. We booked rooms with coolers but they offer us with fans. When we complained about it (we use Google translator) they replied all the rooms are full which was not true and after long argument they changed our room! The rooms delivery and their treatment (specially at night shifts) is according to ethnicity and nationality. The night shift receptionist is racist and very rude. (I don't know Portuguese but I could understand when this racist talk to his friend about me and laugh) . The only honest and helpful living creature in this hostel is day shift receptionist (Jessica). Do not go there. I don't want to take revenge. My scores are always high but this staff deserve this complaint!

Near Sambodromo, in the area of Lapa, interesting area. Very dangerous street, a miracle if nobody harms you. Very unhelpful staff, they tricked us, gave a double room for the price of a triple. No elevator, bed damaged, bad smell everywhere, no breakfast, very uncomfortable room. Avoid it if you can.

It's located in the Centro area of Rio. Only 10 to 15 mins walk to Sambadrome. So it's a great place for view Canival all night and get back to rest at anytime. Need the Big local Market for chaep shopping with local people not tourists. Shower room outside the room is nice. Employee I met in daytime were nice and kind. The good parts became the bad parts when conditions change. It's located in the Centro area of Rio. It´s full of local people without tourists so should be vary careful for the secuiry. Do not stay around outside without purpose after 6 or 7pm. The night employees I met when 1 day came was really not friendly and can´t speak neither English nor Spanish and charge a lot to get one room. But I think it´s the price for Canival season everywhere.

The location is quiet good, just a 10 min. walk to central station, where trains as well as Metro is located. The word villa makes you laugh. Rooms are very basic and the light as well as the cellular signal almost doesnt make its way into the "Villa". Probably also depending on which room you get. At night, the street in front of the hotel is pretty dark. The internet (wifi) is average instable, as throughout whole Brasil.

Nothing!! Location isn't good for tourists. It is a City center and it is 20 min by bus from all the beaches and tourist zones. During the evening time can be very dangerous. Staff doesn't speak English and hardly speak Spanish. Only a good-working wifi.

Hostel staff is nice. They try to help you but they dont speak english so this is the biggest problem. Location of the hostel is kind of far from the attraction points. But its very near to metro and bus stations. For the money you pay to the hostel is too much then what you get. At nights its really loud. Normally they have notices on the walla that says to be quite after 22:00 but no one cares. Even hostel workers, ovner speaks really loud at 1 st floor and you can hear them from 3th floor!!

Terrible place. The only good thing was it is near the interesting neighbourhood of Lapa, bohemian and full of cheap good restaurants and fancy pubs. We were very disappointed with the hostel. The guy working in the desk in the afternoon is rude and bad-mannered, he treated us really bad, he bothered us rudely in our room beating the door and never did any effort to be kind or to speak so we could understand him. I understand he is a special guy but I don't think people like this should have a job which involves treating with people. He is terrible at it. We asked for the (terrible) breakfast at a specific hour and they brought us much sooner, waking us up with heavy noises on the door. For cleaning the towels and sheets, they throw them downstairs to the floor. We had a huge cockroach into our room. I understand it is cheap, but that doesn't give the owners the chance to give such a bad service to the customers.

Gostei quarto...
