Can't remember one thing. Pitiful. Got into the hotel from a long bus ride about 7 in the evening. They didn't have a map of the city and it's in an unusual area to refind at night. Bed was literally a piece of plywood with a 1 inch pad on it. Really sore in the morning. To be fair, I later stayed in another hotel that had this same kind of "matress" so it must not be something too unusual in Brazil. Tiny bugs in the room and had bites on hands in the morning. All walls needed plaster repair and paint. Dirty walls. Breakfast room not much bigger than my hotel room and tables left dirty so had to be cleaned off after new people came in.

Niente, ascensore vecchio antiguerra esecondo me pericoloso. Parcheggio assente. Zona pericolosa. Colazione pessima Nothing, the elevator is very old and I think it's also dangerous. The staff is also rude and did not allow me to stand half an hour longer in the room but rather was categorical in check-out at 12 o'clock. there is no parking. Danger zone. The reason why we initially chose this hotel was pricing due to rooms being so expensive on new years eve. Most of the staff were very helpful or tried to be helpful. Price was reasonable including the new years eve price. The blonde lady at reception was terrible. She lied to us on one occasion and on another when the hot water wasn't working, she said to leave the tap running for 30 mins which still did not fix the issue as they had run out of hot water. Further to this, there was not one single english channel on tv, this was not the case in any other hotels as even the standard channels had some english or subtitled programs so this was an issue with this hotels service. The shower was barely large enough to fit my wife in who is a very small girl, let alone me. The bed sheet was not fitted so it kept on moving off the bed exposing the mattress, if you can imagine in your own bed this isn't the biggest issue but when it is a hotel it is. We had issues re payment saying that we hadn't paid and we had to prove that they had deducted the money already. Overall it was a terrible experience and I would actually like some sort of compensation for this terrible experience.

The list is short for what we liked: only the location. Everything else was absolutely the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We did not like the ants in the bathroom and bedroom, old stained linens, very old beds with no support, holes in the walls, exposed wiring, bed bugs, rude staff, walls in need of repair, black mold in the bathroom, cobwebs in bathroom and bedroom, broken lamps, poor circulation in the room, broken air conditioning unit, safe in room did not work, tiny shower with no shampoo provided and infestation of all sorts of bugs. Over charged and had to demand a written receipt as the staff stated they were out of computer paper to print an official receipt.

Wonderful location across from garden of the Catete Palace, between Flamengo and Glória. The dark, small halls, dark small rooms.

Friendly and helpful staff. One block from the metro station and the House of the Republic I tried to contact them regarding a confusion on the booking system (actually, it was a problem generated by booking.com), but they did not answer. To their credit, they fixed the problem in situ with out any complications. Room was smaller than I hoped.

Clean. Good location. Even though it was one of the cheapest hotels in Rio, I was able to find another hotel in the area of almost half the price - not a nice though of course. Booking.com should include real backpacker/budget places as well.

It is very close to the Flamingo park and beach, and close to the metro station of catete. You can walk up to St. Teresa The hotel is a little run down, with old furniture and an old bathroom.

Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Room was of a decent size and had everything I needed. Convenient location: in a nice area, opposite a park and just down the road from local shops/restaurants, a metro station, and bus stops. No real problems, but some of the power sockets were a bit finicky. Wireless internet was available but expensive (hourly rate).

We booked in here as we were going to be in Rio during in Carnaval, and by the time we were booking most hostels were booked out. However, this hotel worked out nearly the same as hostels were charging for that time of year (Carnaval). Had to book 5 nights but this seemed to be standard for any accomodation in Rio (and other areas of Brazil) during Carnaval. We booked a triple room which was a good size and had two bathrooms. Was also very close to the metro station. The only real issue we had was that we booked in for 5 nights but the rooms were not cleaned once during our stay. The only thing that really needed changing was towels, as there were two bathrooms, but as we were backpacking we had our own (and we could have asked but didn't).

Convenient location in nice area of Rio close to the metro and to fun places like Lapa. Staff tried hard to be helpful and were friendly but only one spoke any English. For the same price I think significantly better hotels can be found in Rio. My room had air conditioning but it didn't work very well; the beds were damp and therefore the room smelt unpleasant. There is wifi but it costs a R$10 per hour (the internet cafe round the corner is half the price, and on this website it said the hotel wifi was R$5/hour). Lastly they charged the card I had used to make the reservation for the full hotel bill without first asking how I wanted to pay (I wanted to pay cash), and although they were able to refund the card I lost around £30 on the exchange rates and card fees.

The only thing the hotel had in its favor was the location. My TV did not work. They made no attempt to fix it. Their elevator was a death trap. When I tried to free myself after being trapped I got shocked. I ask for a big bed. I recieved a twin and a regular bed that kept sliding appart when ever you turned. for the money it was a very poor value

Alguns atendentes simples e atenciosos.
