Skyscrapers and the frenzy of busy Sao Paulo are matched by countless gastronomic offerings, endless cultural activities, and a busy nightlife.
Founded by Jesuits in 1554, the city also known as Sampa became a powerful industrial hub in the late 19th century with Greater Sao Paulo home to 20 million inhabitants. Attracting immigrants from all over the world, it became the most ethnically diverse city in Brazil.
Walk down Avenida Paulista and immerse yourself in one of the biggest economic centers in the world. This avenue also represents the heart of Brazil’s cultural scene, hosting numerous venues. Don’t miss the Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo, home of the biggest collection of Western Art in Latin America.
You can find Sao Paulo hotels in the lively center, but if you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere you should check out hotels in Sao Paulo's Jardins neighborhood. With a laid-back feel with bohemian bars and artisan shops, Vila Madalena is also a good alternative.
Whether you arrive at Guarulhos International Airport or Congonhas Airport, don’t miss the deals on Sao Paulo accommodations available on Booking.com!

One of the best cities in the world, reminds NYC for its size, skylines and demographic complexity, but with a better public transportation, tropical weather, way cleaner then NY and Paris, warmer and more welcoming people then most places in the world, food is way better then most big international cities and all the restaurants are not overpriced, basically the life quality in S.Paulo is superior to the mainstream big capitals of the world and you can basically live better then a king without being a millionaire.

There is too many homeless people but do not harm.
There is too many homeless people but do not harm. This only makes the environment dirty and smelly. If you secure yourself, if you do bot put yourself in a bad situation like going alone in the late night to somewhere yo do not know, this ofc attracts danger.
Sao Paulo is very nice. I believe 3-4 days will be enough for the city.
I highly recommend Ibirapuera Park. You can spend your whole day away from the chaos. And I can recommend Sala Sao Paulo. You can watch concerts inside, and it quite cheap.

Monstermegacity.
Monstermegacity. Unless you have something specific to do there, go somewhere else like Rio. Endless streets and tall buildings, felt like a city prison. Very Friendly people though, and you can find everything you might look for in a big city. Good restaurants, parties, and yoga studios. I spent three days and was so happy to leave.

Great destination. Only 2 cons! Must read.
1. Sim card registration requires a Brazilian ID#. When I purchased sim card, I was never informed of this requirement. Even though I asked the cashier for assistance. They instructed me to do it myself knowing I was a foreigner with no Brazilian ID#!
2. No ATM access for my USA Visa debit card! I had to use my CC and Uber since I was unable to withdrawal $!

You don't visit Sao Paulo for the beautiful buildings or scenery. Like most Brazilian cities, the historic center is like a bad Zombie film. Abandoned buildings, lots of homeless people and very dangerous. Leisure life takes place in shopping centers and the better neighbourhoods. You will find excellent restaurants and bars, but please ask a local contact and take an Uber for transport. Than you will find the charm of this metropole indeed.

I use to live in Sao Paulo, I still have family in Brazil which I visit twice a year. I stop in Sao Paulo for a few days before going to my hometown.
Sao Paulo has every kind of thing to do, from museums, international culinary, shopping malls, parks.
I don't drive in Sao Paulo, usually I have a taxi driver I trust that takes me anywhere I want to go without worrying about anything, from picking me up at the airport, to sightseeing to errands.
Before getting to Sao Paulo check if there is any national holidays since they always that's possible make it into a long weekend, which could be a mess your plans depending in what you want to do there.
This hotel was amazing! The hotel is located in the heart of São Paulo. It is a hotel, college dormitory, and hostel all in one. The rooms were perfect, I arrived hours before check in and was able to stay in one of the hostel beds until my room was ready. And I must say I almost considered just staying in the hostel portion of the hotel because it was so nice and clean. This property is modern and impeccably clean. The hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful, especially Ana. I will definitely stay here again!
We have stayed here on both our trips to São Paulo & absolutely love it. The location is divine- so close to many amazing restaurants with easy Uber rides to the bus station or airports or any locations in the city. The hotel has a great design and there is a beautiful patio courtyard. A typical Brazilian breakfast is included here but it’s also close (2 mins walk) to futuro refereterio which is a fun cafe for breakfast/lunch. The staff is friendly and attentive and even speak a little English! Highly recommend.
The staff went out if their way to make my stay in Sāo Paulo amazing-really over and above anything I expected. It was my first time in Brazil, and they really made it a great, comfortable, fun experience. Location is superb: very safe and just around the corner from the park and some amazing museums. Room was small but very functional (I worked there in the morning), with a comfy bed and everything was really clean. Breakfast was the best I had in a really long time. Couldn't recommend enough!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They ordered a taxi from us from the hotel to the airport, it was a loca taxi that’s much safer than Uber an same price.
There is a very well equipped gym, sauna and swimming pool.
We ordered a massive breakfast for two to our room, it was 85 Brazilian reals and we couldn’t eat all.
Our room was lovely, a massive and comfy bed, a small kitchen, sofa, tv and ensuite bathroom. The bedsheets and the towels were very clean.
That was our best experience in Brazil. It's heartwarming that the staff adopted a stray cat ( Jessica Black) and a dog, and both animals live in the hotel premises, and both are taken care of. When you walk into the hotel lobby, you can see the cat lounging on the chairs. A new era for high-end hotel mentality. Not only animal friendly but taking steps to end the suffering of animals. Such a nice thing to see.
If you ever stay in the "concrete jungle" Sao Paulo, the neighbourhood Itaim Bibi is a great place to stay. It is safe, has lots of restaurants and bars and is on walking distance (25 minutes) of two parks (Povo and Ibirapuera). Clarion Faria Lima offers good hospitality for a reasonable price with a very good and friendly staff. I have been visiting this hotel many times and it always has been very good.
Wonderful breakfast, great helpful reception and clean room with nice shower. WIFI worked well.
The hotel is bright and clean, simple and close to everything central. We walked to the Modern Art Museum. Close by are good restaurants for ever budget, some nice bars and few "eclectic venues". Sao Paulo is an urban mecca for street artists, broken pavements, cafes, bars and fun!
Just picked the property from the website .We have stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world. While it was not large and did not have as many special amenities as larger hotels this boutqiues hotel was quite and staff very accomadating close to everything you need in downtown Sao Paulo. But do not go with their selected taxi drivers!!
Great Hotel with perfect location close to the nice ibirapuera park and nearby museums. Every Tuesday there is a local market with fresh food and fruits just around the corner.
Awesome breakfast and really nice hosts! They are super friendly and very helpful in case you have questions about Sao Paulo and its attractions!
Located in a picturesque São Paulo neighborhood.
Easily accessible through bus and metro services.
Large room, with several nice beds and an adequate bathroom.
Friendly staff.
Hotel Vila da Penha practices fair prices.
A nice stay for a family holiday (a book launch at Avenida Paulista)
Probably the best place I've stayed in Brazil! I loved how my face was the key and I didn't have to deal with security people. It's in a good location. Bed was comfortable. Air Conditioning was good. Wifi was good. Everything just worked.
we received a room on floor 23 which has an amazing view of São Paulo. This was our second stay at the hotel, which also has a pool, gym and sauna.
The staff is very professional and especially Leon who helped us always with a smile
Location is the best in Sao Paulo. Taxi stop right in front of the hotel. Big, confortable apartment. Many great restaurants in the area. Close to the main shopping centers. Helpfull team. Good free breakfast with plenty of fruits.
This is a real luxury hotel in downtown Sao Paulo. The service, the restaurants, the executive club on the 23rd floor - all ad up to the standards of the better hotels. The Spa is excellent, and has a professional, attentive staff.
The breakfast buffet was prepared with a lot of care. Special Brazilian dishes like tapioca were on offer. You don't find tapioca easily in upscale city hotels.
