The room is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom has no bathtub. The amenities are nice. Breakfast was not included in my deal.
I asked the clerk to place me in a room where I could not hear the street noise. There are 25 floors at Melia and she said there were only two rooms available, one on the fourth and one on the fifth floors. When I checked out, another clerk said they were full up to the 11th floor when I checked in but they should've moved me the following day. Because of the street noise, I only got 2 hours of sleep and the World Cup finals was the following day. The check in clerk promised I would not hear street noise. She was wrong. The hotel is far away from Avenue Paulista and the metro. There are decent restaurants and bars around the hotel so if you intend to stay in the area, it is comfortable. The bell men do not know about public transportation so do not ask them. The phone in my room did not work. When I asked the clerk about the internet, I had to make a long distance call to the front desk and they almost charged me for it not realizing the call was to the front desk. They told me they would call me back to assist me, but no one did. Se la vie.
A really good hotel in a superb location. Best thing about the area is the range of absolute excellent restaurants nearby. Felt very safe and nice to walk around.
No real negatives but avoid the hotel's taxi pick up service unless you're rolling in cash. Taxi from the airport is about a quarters of the price.
All good, stayed for one night at the start of the world cup.
The location was great! Good shops and restaurants around. Rooms were clean and comfortable and spacious.
Quite noisy. Non smoking areas and rooms still smelt of cigarettes heavily. The staff did not speak English which made communication very difficult. Poor service in the restaurant.
Location, hotel amenities and size of room
carpet needed cleaning
Bathrooms are poorly designed..very hard to manuver in shower
Everything was excellent. Excellent staff, cleanliness, service. It was all great! Thank you.
Bellboys, I find it annoying that they try to screw You by calling you a taxi and collecting a tip from the driver. The hotel direction should try and solve this problem. It's small things that make the difference
I liked everything!!!
Prime location, breakfast is fine and excellent beds.
Wifi (bad connection)
Nice Breakfast Buffet Good location for going out
Wifi logon is a big cumbersome and the reception in my room was really poor.
Bar closes at 11.30 p.m. ( on a saturday!)
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very comfortable and offered great views of the city. There is a taxi stand right outside the hotel.
The hotel is a bit out of the way and you have to take a taxi to get to the nearest train station.
in a very safe area, the jardims and greenery are very nice, lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance
small pool on roof, was dirty and cloudy when I was there. Need a bigger pool area, suggest they rebuild on the unused tennis court the hotel has on the ground floor. They charged twice as they did not unblock the visa debit card, front dest staff need more and better training in this regard.

Reception people not smilly, didn't do their job correctly (didn't register our car, which lead to endless discussions and nervousness). No sound proof windows and you are a busy area. Breakfast coffee was not nice at all.
