L'hôtel Merlin est très bien situé à quelques pas de Copacabana. Il offre de nombreux services comme la piscine sur le toit, le sauna. Bon petit déjeuner. Très bon restaurant. Rapport qualité/prix très bon. Personel du restaurant très sympa. Ne propose pas de formule en demie-pension, mais ce n'est pas forcément un désaventange car vous êtes plus libre de circuler. Je n'ai pas trop apprécié le gel douche en automate dans la salle de bain. Climatisation trop forte dans le hall de réception. Eviter de boire au bar, c'est beaucoup mieux au restaurant de l'hôtel (qualité, quantité). |

Le personnel était vraiment disposé à nous faciliter la vie (confirmation vol retour, réservation visites guidées, temps pour le lendemain....) Sans hésiter, la visite organisée proposée par l'hôtel (accord avec le tour operator) pour voir le Corcovado. 100 reals pour n'y rester que 20 minutes, obligés d'attendre que le minibus fasse des aller retours en navette, guide peu convainquant (anglais à couper au couteau et soupirs entre chaque phrase on se demandait si elle ne regrettait pas d'être là !!!) . Sinon, petits soucis d'ascenseurs très lents à l'hôtel, seulement 2 pour 11 étages, dont 1 souvent en panne, et une logique de priorité pour desservir les étages encore incomprise! |

Personnel de l'hôtel efficace et parlant français et anglais, chose rare au Brésil. Hôtel très bien situé proche métro, bus et plage. Quartier sympathique mais au moment du crépuscule emprunter avec prudence le tunnel, des agressions ont été recensées. |

We enjoyed our stay in Merlin copacabana. its 5 minutes walking distance from the beach, close to all touristic excursions. the swimming pool and the gym was nothing to do with the pictures but who cares ...when you have the beach close to you... |

This is an average hotel, clean and comfortable Security seemed relaxed. Anyone could have entered into the elevators. |

Good location five minutes walk to Copacabana Beach. Good, fast, complimentary in room wired internet. A very dated 1970's style 3* hotel. Uninspiring rooms, uncomfortable bed, the whople place needs a re-fit. |

Location to Copacabana beach etc was quite good, and hotel was well cleaned. Walls seemed very thin, noise from other rooms traveled, less than normal facilities in the room. |

I have a special dietary requirement in that I am gluten intolerant, which I informed the hotel of in advance of my stay. The restaurant provided gluten free bread and made an effort to accommadate my special needs. They even gave me an address of a bakery where I could get gluten free bread to take with me on the next leg of my tour of Brazil. The kitchen staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and shopping facilities. The cold marble floor and the small rugs that would not lay flat on the floor. They povided soap in soap dispensers that did not work and the towels were old and thread worn. |

The staff was helpful and kind, taxi service from the hotel was smooth. The situation was good, walking distance from Copacabana. Our room was a bit worn out. Even at the front desk not everyone spoke English too well. |

The hotel staff was friendly and caring. Hotel is at the walking distance from the beach and the shopping center. The bed was uncomfortable and made a lot of noise. |

The staff was very kind - late checkout was allowed even though the hotel seemed full. The hotel's furniture and general look is old fashioned. There is no parking for cars - we did not know that and had to pay for parking in a nearby hotel. |

The staff were so nice, kind and helpfull. There were no too much restrictions. The classic designe of the hotel. Floor is made of marble and some items at the room were so old (telephone, ac and no wireless internent). |

Room was clean, breakfast was good, staff were helpful and friendly. Although away from the beach, it felt safe enough to reach it by foot and taxi's were always readily available. Services were good - bar, sauna, pool - but the hotel would have to be described as comfortable rather than luxurious. |

The staff were very helpful with everything from our late check-in to exchanging currency for us. For R33 per person, there is a huge all you can eat buffet in the evenings which is a great deal. The rooms were immaculate, beds comfortable, and maid service prompt. The street that it's located on is a bit shady with a few homeless people scattered about and the photo representing the hotel is doctored. In the middle of the street directly in front of the hotel there is the entryway to a tunnel and huge amounts of traffic, not a grand, long entryway as shown in photos. |
