Location. Close to Av. Paulista. Families with young children will like the bookstore Livraria Cultura on Av.Paulista.

As it is located in Rua Augusta, it is highly recommend for those who want to go out to bars and club on that street. The hotel is clean and breakfast is ok.

The noise that bothered me was not from the street but from the drip of air conditioner.

Hotel is in a good location for bars and restaurants. Airport bus stops outside hotel. 10 mins walk to metro.

Rua Augusta is extremely noisy at night; it's a young peoples' party street. I was on 2nd floor facing street and the sound of people talking, yelling is quite intense. But closing the window and turning on a/c pretty much took care of it. But be forewarned.

A pretty good location (yes, the red light district is nearby but that is part of Sao Paolo's charm!), great and corteous staff and decent rooms with good wi-fi coverage, topped with a pretty good breakfast - all that for a very fair price. Would stay here again!

Te room was very hot when air conditioner was turned off and the outside side of the window glass was too dirty.

Cleanest, location (really close to a sub station), best shower I've ever saw in a hotel, good bed.

Clean and well-serviced rooms, located in a central area. Marcus was very helpful at reception.

Other reception workers were apathetic and superscilious; more interested in watching Avenida Brasil on the lobby television than offer information or help. Breakfast spread needs to be conserved better (e.g. use of covers and ice buckets).

Floor under the shower was at the same tile floor, so it is easy to get wet. By nigth it is not a nice sorrounding.

I have stayed numerous times at the Hotel Moncloa, both over long periods of time (up to one month at a time) and shorter durations of just a weekend or a few days. There is no doubt in my mind that, given a cost-benefit analysis, the Hotel Moncloa is the best hotel in all of Sao Paulo. The prices are among the most economical you will find, the management and staff is the friendliest and most helpful I have experienced literally anywhere in the world, and the facilities are safe, comofrtable, reliable, and consistently excellent. I would encourage any and all travelers to stay at the Moncloa--as long as you do not take my room!
