We have stayed here several times and enjoyed the hotel, restaurant, and view each time. Well-situated, good value, and nice pool and environs.
This time our room had a few problems....lights by bed stopped working, AC started making noise, curtains were not working well, hole in ceiling right outside our door. But overall, we enjoyed our time here and will definitely go back again!
The hotel and the hotel staff
Nice view from the big pool. Fresh fruits at the breakfast.
The water in the pool was dirty, some days also a bit cold. There was only 1 day out of 5 when pool towels were available. Altough our room was on 8th floor, the noise from the lobby hall was too loud, specially on Saturday evening, it lasted till about 6am, i.e. all night long. There were no drinking glasses in our room, and when we asked to get them, the staff asked 25 reals for rent... The roof restaurant was closed and we didn´t have an opportunity to see view from there. Only few persons from reception could understand a little English.
Amazing view of the Amazon river from the room window. Great swimming pool on the river side.
Noisy air condition system in the room
Location Hotel rooms pool
parking Service was very bad
Location is clean and save - also the sidewalk at night with all the small bistros - bus 120 and 126 goes direct into the city next to the amazon theatre for only 3 reais ...
No staff at the pool to clean this aera in the morning... only few shade - not enough umbrellas ...when do they clean the water ... Breakfastroom lausy ....
The swimming pool área and the free shuttle to the shopping mall
The first room I was given was awful on the first floor with no view, no light and stuffy. After complaining I was changed to a room on a higher floor which was much better. I dont understand why I was not given the better room in the first place! The common áreas of the hotel were not very clean.
Too much mosquitos in the room and couldn't get rid of them after 3 days
The view of the river with all its activity, the infinity pool, the tropical surroundings. The staff were helpful.
The restaurant food selection was poor but to go downtown (11km) away and 65 Reales each way we stayed at the hotel. The first night we had noisy guests on both sides. The second was beautifully quiet. No English TV channels
View from the room was great. The buffet lunch was good, but was so, probably because they had a conference going on.
The whole place is degraded and the breakfast was terríble. We had to ask for a blanket for the bed and for toiletries to be restocked.
Just the location and the food!
Terrible Staff ! There's no any maintenance of the building! Everything is old and broken. Bad cleaness!!!
Services, restaurant options, a/c units, TV, furnitures
Sunset from the swimming pool, location, pool restaurant are very good
Room is a bit old, mold in the bathroom
Everything is just perfect.
A little bit far from the center.
The swimming pool is amazing! And, the sunsets from the swimming pool are spectacular. My room was clean, very spacious and well appointed. There was a minifridge/bar (I put my own food and drinks in it because the minibar prices were exorbitant. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom/shower was large and everything worked. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety everyday. Dinner in the restaurant was good, but expensive. The location is far from the city center and a $35 taxi ride, or a 30-min public bus ride. But, I was there for a conference at the neighboring Tropical Manaus resort, so it was perfect. The beach is next door and a short walk.
The fridge and AC were both noisy. I had trouble with the controls for the AC, and was either freezing or warm. One day I turned off the AC when I left, then when I got back the room was icy and the maid had taken the blanket off of my bed! I finally learned to turn off the AC at night other wise I woke up freezing.
The view of the Rio Negro from the swimming pool is very beautiful. The sunset from the pool is amazing too. Staff are very friendly and has good english. The hotel is new, the bedrooms are big and bed confortble.
There was no hot water in the shower 2 days out of 9.
The hotel is by the Negra River and only steps to a very nice beach. Service is excellent. We enjoyed it.
No wired internet;. Wifi is available but extremely slow. You can't do anything with it, not even checking your emails.
I had wi-fi in my room. The breakfast was included in the price of the room, and the breakfast buffet was extensive--a very good value. The Park Suites hotel is very close to the Tropical Hotel. We booked our Meeting of the Waters Tour and our City Tour at Fontur located in the lobby of the Tropical Hotel.
Some of my friends didn't have wi-fi in their rooms.
Exceptional view on Rio Negro, close to airport, swimming pool or Rio Negro swim, good breakfast with lot of fruits, silence
There is nothing to comment...average...
Air conditioner of room is very noisy and some wall infiltration.
Location is great - near airport and beautiful view
Once I got there - at 1am - they put me in a room that was not cleaned. I called, complained and they switched rooms, to a room that was cleaned but the a/c was not working - this is Manaus....90 degree weather in the shade!!! But I was so tired, I just felt asleep. The next morning, I went to get breaksfast at 9:15am (breakfast ends at 10) there was almost no option left, all trays were empty and not replaced. I got a water and went to the lobby, one of the attendants ran after me saying I could not take the water....what!?!? I will not go there again.
Large room and comfortable size bathroom. Beautiful pool.
Food wasn't good for breakfast or room service. Also ordered cocktails at the bar in the foyer, had a sip and had to leave them behind they were so terrible. Could be a little cleaner and better maintenance if they want to consider themselves as 5 star.
River sight, bath room, wifi, location, breakfast, fitting room, visitor tour agency
nearest shopping mall/supermarket is too far from the hotel; room card disable everyday and need re-activation
Nice pool, good spot to pick up a bunch of tours (the nearby Tropica Hotel has a big tour company that you can use).
the location in relation to downtown Manaus is poor. It can take ~1 hour to get there in a cab (the only real way) and cost too much. If you want to see the downtown area, i'd not stay here.
