Hotel facilities - the pools are lovely and definitely have a Wow! factor and they have an animation team there who were fun, all in Portuguese but I joined in aqua aerobics. Bar food and drinks are well priced and service for drinks was good. Breakfast was fantastic- best bread I've tasted in Brazil and lovely cakes as well as hot food. View from hotel room was lovely and loved going to sleep with sound of sea crashing.
Bar food - came out cold and shrink wrapped after waiting ages for it, they'd obviously cooked the 3 orders separately and then shrink wrapped them to keep warm, then left them ages before bringing them out. Showers were scalding hot in the afternoon even with no hot water added and no way of cooling it down. Very few staff could speak English, including Front Desk, there were times when there was someone on who could speak English but whenever we had an issue or wanted to book something no one could help us. Sea by the hotel was really rough -we took a hint that no one was in it but there was no warning and later were told by a tour guide that it was very dangerous to swim there. Location is great for sea views but difficult to get out and explore - next time we would stay at Ponta Negro. We were provided with bottles of water in our fridge which we thought was complimentary as there was no price chart, then found out as we checked out we were charged for them.
almost everything, I would like to play tennis
Cafe da manhã muito pobre
Location and the view from the hotel.
1. The 100 bees hanging out at the buffet every morning. I don't need to get stung by a bee for free eggs. 2. The food was not good at the restaurant. 3. I ordered steak and shrimp and the food never came. After an hour and a half they told me they ran out of steak and shrimp and all that was available was hamburgers. 4. They charged me for food that never came on my final bill. 5. They tried to run my credit card for $1,300 after I had already pre-paid for the room. 6. 18 cockroaches and ants. 7. Dark hall way that took them 3 days to find a light bulb to replace the burned out light bulb. Couldn't even see to use your door key. 8. No hot water for 2 days. 9. No compensation offered for any of the problems that this place has.
beach property, friendly staff, showers were decent,
no shampoo/conditioner, not enough towels, buffet had many bugs, check-in took a long time, hotel not prepared for many english speaking guests, requests took a long time to be fulfilled.
The hotel has amazing pools and is right on the beach.
Hotel is quite far from the city so it's quite hard to find a place to eat unless you are happy to just eat at the hotel
Pools were clean. The only staff members that were friendly and willing to help were at the restaurant. The most helpful one or two people who could speak English was the concierge, Andrea. It was obvious she has travelled outside of Brazil and understands customer service.
They showed us a total of three rooms, smelled as if they had not been used for weeks. Humid, hot. They needed a remote control for AC. First two rooms did not have the remotes, phones did not work. We had to wait for two hours before they took us to a third room, which was ok. We knew it was a beach front property, but one should not have to walk on sand someone else track into room!
Location, pools, food, beach
the bar needs a new menu. very poor cocktails and mixed dinks options. the room could be redecorated. and the shower curtain replaced...
It is a beautiful place and I really enjoyed staying there.
* WiFi was failing far too often, which was both disappointing and frustrating. * It isn't really in a walking distance from anywhere, except the beach. You need a car, a bus or a taxi. * Only few people from the staff actually speak English, but you get used to this after awhile.
