Carnival in Salvador, Bahia is a must! You'll have to experience it for yourself. My favorite town was Rio Verlehmo, Ubers are affordable, and motorbikes, are the way to go. I enjoyed walking, you get to experience more of their stores, restaurants.

Salvador is an incredible place.
Salvador is an incredible place. Lots of history, culture and friendly people. Would definitely recommend as a destination. Just be sure to have some basic Brazilian Portuguese phrases handy, as English is not widely spoken at all.

We were warned by everyone, including hotel staff and friends, that Salvador is a dangerous place. This made it difficult for us to enjoy the city's beauty without any concerns. However, we decided to take a City Tour with a group to learn more about the city and identify the places we wanted to visit again. The city tour gave us a better understanding of the city, which helped us appreciate it more. Go to Pelourinho, Igreja do Bonfim and Farol da Barra.

We had an idea that this place was beautiful, but it exceeded our expectations. Every street made beuatiful pictures, there was a lot of history, music and dancing. At first, the hsitorical area felt very touristy but there are ways to get a more authentic experience. We will recommend to all of our friends traveling in Brazil to make a stop in Salvador.

This place is magical and familiar - it feels like home away from home. My next visit to Brazil will be right back to Salvador, forget Rio and SP. The people are so warm and friendly (and they're not begging you for anything), the food is out of this world great. We used Uber to go everywhere without any problems. The mall is surprisingly huge. My only regret is that I should have spent more time there.
This pousada is located in a typically Salvador neighbourhood. The building itself is to wow visitors. It feels like you will live in a Bahiana house for a short time. That includes breakfast which will give you a taste of the local morning cuisine. We had a balcony sea view and did enjoy it. The sunsets are beautiful and unforgettable. The staff are second to none. They are so friendly, considerate and helpful. You know you’re in Bahia. My most heartfelt thank you to the kitchen and reception staff who are absolute sweethearts.
The breakfast was the best breakfast of out of maybe 5 other pousadas we stayed at while in Brazil. Petunia is incredible, and truly ensures everyone is satisfied in literally every single way. My partner got sick and she made sure we had everything we needed, the best was her allowing us to stay longer in the room since our flight didn't go out until later so that she could rest/recuperate during the day. Honestly, she was so friendly, it made me wish we had stayed longer.
The breakfast was the best thing about this hotel. Tasteful, local, diverse and changes everyday, we loved it.
The location in Rio Vermelho is great with many restaurants and bar nearby. Also safe to walk at night so that was a big PRO. The hotel, although nice, was not exactly as the pictures showed but we still enjoyed spending time there very much.
Also the staff of ''Prive Turismo'' Rose, was very friendly and helped us chose interesting tours to do while in Salvador.
Amazing Posada in old style. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Pousada located right in the old center of Salvador so it's very convenient to enjoy the old historical center of the town staying safe. Room was spacious and clean, decorated in a colonial-like old style with a balcony to enjoy the Santana square. Homemade breakfast was delicious and abundant with a touch of Bahia cuisine every morning. Highly recommended place to stay and enjoy the Nazare area
The location is excellent, very easy access to Farol da Barra, Portinho da Barra (only a few blocks away from nice beaches and cool spots. The Hotel is almost door to door to a shopping mall full of coffee shops, restaurants and other stores.
Breakfast delicious, lots of options of food/drink to choose from. Besides dozen of items, the ladies kindly prepared traditional local dishes such as tapioca.
Good value for money, decent enough facilities. Comfortable mattresses. Property in general seems a little bit dated and has aging facilities. Seems like a party hotel mainly to be used during Salvador Carnival, but I don't necessarily recommend it as a family destination during any season.
An oasis of peace in the great metropolis of Salvador da Bahia. Best location, just 15 minutes from the airport and close to the beautiful beach Stella Maris. The service is top, super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and typically Brazilian. The bed was super comfortable.
the hotel is centrally situated at the beach of Itapua with a nice swimming pool and access to the beach. the staff is incredibly accommodating and service minded. everything works well in this hotel. I have visited a number of hotels in Bahia and this is by far the best one. thank you
Exceptional location and property. The hotel is like a museum. One of the most memorable stay in Brazil. The hotel staff were all very attentive and made my stay super special. Breakfast was such a highlight too. If you get the chance to stay here, do it!
The hotel is located in the lovely neighbourhood of Pelourinho of Salvador. The streets are filled with music, joy and great restaurants - all in walking distance. The room was very clean and wifi was decent. The breakfast was great!
What a gem! Everything was great in this boutique hotel. From the friendliness and readiness of all the staff, to the great rooms, the rooftop with swimming pool and the delicious breakfast. Definitely recommended when in Salvador.
the hotel had a wonderful ambiance, sitting by the pool was very pleasant and wifi worked great on the grounds. my room was clean and comfortable and it came with a wet bar. staff were friendly and breakfast was provided.
Hotel was very pleasant and the staff helpful. The room was good and the a/c and Internet worked well. The breakfast was of excellent quality with plenty to f variety and helpful staff. Overall a very good stay.
The location is great and the hotel is very charming and pleasant. The room is super - very nicely set out, furnished and equipped. Breakfast excellent and very abundant. Very good choice of wines at the bar.
very clean. I go twice a year to Salvador and after staying many hotels. This one is one of the clean one. I hope they add more protein to breakfast to make it little healthier. but well vacation mode. lol.
Charming well-maintained tastefully decorated small hotel. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Nice rooftop bar with sea view.
Convenient location in the artsy neighborhood of Rio Vermelho.
Very comfortable and well kept hotel. Friendly staff and excellent grounds.
One of the best hotels i stayed in Salvador. highly recommend if you can afford to stay a bit away from the city center.
Amazing hotel, very comfortable bed and nice staff well trained. We stayed for 3 days. The view from the rooftop is stunning and the breakfast is great.
