Really big room with large en suite, good shower and very comfy bed. We stayed in the comfort suite which is highly recommend. The standard room looked a little cramped. Perfect location near to everything you would want to see. Helpful staff with all that we asked.
The breakfast though varied wasnt of a good quality
Beautiful rooms, great location.
Restaurant doesn't seem to operate daily or at least, operates for only a few hours.
Central location. Pizza restaurant on-site.
Dark room (one very small window and poor lighting), badly laid-out room and floor tiles (especially in bathroom) that were extremely old & dirty - not so much antique patina as just 'grunge'. After staying in the Sao Luis equivalent, this was a disappointment.
- a great historic house - and a good idea how they integreat this Hotel - I love that - the area 150m arround is nice and seems save - good bed - good room + bathroom - good breakfast
!!! 250m in the direktion of the port someone tryed to rubish us with a knife !!! (also in the other direktion - the "safe" area is ending soon I think) - a Problem of Belem and all Southamerica
Lovely building, close to a lot of sights, staff spoke English and were very helpful and pleasant.
Shower was miserable, weakest I have ever used.
Location was central, near many points of interest.
One of the worst hotels/b&b I've ever stepped into. Bed was the worst of my life, decor was abysmal, air conditioner whether didn't work at all or made the room freezing cold. Window was this prison-like thing... and, of course, there was the bell from the church.
In the historic center!!! Now, if you are looking to go out at night, the best way is by taxi as restaurants, bars and clubs are away from this location and according to locals, it is no very safe to walk. Walking distance to Mercado do Peso, Docas, Mercado do Peixe e Carnes. The hotel is well looked after, clean and comfortable.
Great atmosphere Very friendly staff! !
Very difficult to spend a night in Brazil when you are traveling ing in Portugal. An error on my part but would not make any adjustments two weeks ahead.
The hotel is small and the location is excellent. The breakfast is very reasonable.
The hotel is in front of a church and the bell could annoy someone, but wasn't a problem to me.
The old house where the hotel is situated is very well renovated and makes you feel the history of the city a bit. Location is perfect, walk distance fron everything. The staff is helpful and breakfast is good!
The very old downtown is fascinating to be in an old and restored hotel and to stay in a so big room as old times: even the bell of the old church of Se (which annoys some people) for me it was a pleasure to hear. The breakfast is very reasonable and good and the staff very friendly. I loved there and I will be there all times I go back to Belem: it's an attraction itself to be at that hotel. All of this for a very cheap fare.
Nothing annoyed me there.
Rooms 01 and 02 are beautiful design rooms, with windows to the praça. Very good and luxury. Breakfast is great, with a few very fine tastes.Very Helpful staff.
No affordable restaurants around. The in house Italian restaurant was very good, but quite expensive. The restaurant on the other site of he square was too expensive to even try.
- Historial Building! - good staff - good restaurant
- Restaurant is a bit expensive - During my stay, internet and phone were not available. Not hotel fault tough.
