The location to Avenida Paulista and a local mall (Patio Paulista) is great. The rooms are well equiped with L'Occtaine brand ammenities, king beds, robes, haviannia flip flops and such. Pool is very small and gym only has one treadmill and one bike. The "Japanese" baths they have require reservations and are not private (anyone can walk in on you when you are in the baths). They re-use the bath water, as they are not drained in between reservations. Robe was not clean (smelled of smoke and was not changed our entire stay (4 days); hot water took 30 minutes to arrive via room service; booked an airport transfer from the hotel for $184 brl and it did not show up. We were stranded at airport; called hotel and they said to take taxi and they would reimburse us the cost. They refunded the money for the taxi at check in, but the next day, they asked for us to give it back, as it is not company policy to pay for errors made. In the end, we had to give $125 brl out of $184 back to the hotel... I still can't believe that they wouldn't even pay for our taxi... the nerve to ask for the money back! Terrible customer service!!! Then, they double charged us at checkout! Avoid this hotel

This hotel represents what a real hotel is about. Impecable staff, very clean and I would argue 6 stars not 5. The restaurant and reception staff is amongst the best I've seen out there. Another good thing about this hotel is that there are no "hidden costs". Eveything is communicated in a very clear and objective way and there are no surprises. This is probably it is so difficult to get a room. The hotel is currently under refurbishment in some of the floors which is a bit annoying. The other bit for improvement is the laundry service which is very good but slow (you always have to allow) 1.5 days to get your clothes back. Other than that just brilliant

The location is very good; just 20 mt from Paulista Ave. But not having the street noise.Good breakfast.Good for city trips and business. Although the price is high when compared with the European avarege, these rates are normal for Sao Paulo/Brasil.

I stayed at the hotel three times within 20 days, for a total of 11 nights. I like this hotel. The location is excellent, the staff is generally pleasant and helpful. I felt well. (1) The hotel cannot get the internet system to work properly. Constant interruptions. Constant excuses. Constant waste of time. Very frustrating. (2) The service in the restaurant is unacceptably unfriendly. We had taken half a bottle of wine with us to the room from one visit to the restaurant, and brought it back later - to be told that a corkage charge of BRL 45,00 will apply. We left the restaurant - in total disgust (3) All staff apart from the restaurant staff tend to be friendly and helpful, except the Chinese looking reception employee who is brash, aggressive, and argumentative. I would either get rid of him, or send him to a training course in behaviour. .

I stayed here some 12 years ago and was surprised how it has continued to outdo itself. The service is just excellent. The two elevators are slow and need to be reprogrammed.

I liked every single thing in the hotel and I do want to insist on the very attentive and personalized care every guest is given.as for the food it is divine and I can say, as a brazilian citizen, that my country is famous for its excellent and gourmet food.porto bay surpassed all the hotels I ever stayed in brazil or all over the world for that matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Nothing to mention but the sadness upon leaving........many thanks to all that made mine an unforgettable stay.

Friendly staff, always ready to help. The WiFi is appalling. The staff were kind enough to give me a network cable and the Internet is free (or included in the room rate) but outside your room it does not work very well.
