The location is right on the main shopping street and close to everything. The breakfast was good and they also serve afternoon tea (great option).
The staff is not friendly at all. I don't understand why this hotel is rated 4 stars... there are no amenities other than parking. The bathroom could have been cleaner (mold on the edges). It can get a little loud at night since young residents drink on the street. After reading the reviews we asked for a quieter room and that helped.
Beautiful Pousada in the centre of town - you step outside the door and are on one of the nicest streets with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. Staff was very helpful, the breakfast was great - overall, excellent value for money.
The rooms could be a bit more spacious and the internet connection did not work very well in our room (it was fine though in the lobby area).
Lovely old hotel on the main street in this charming world heritage site. Smart hotel, friendly staff, huge buffet breakfast and great value for money (we went out of season in June). And Ouro Preto has a more vibrant social scene than you might expect.
Not a dislike at all, but be warned, as well as being a world heritage site Ouro Preto is a University town and has a big student population. When we arrived at 10pm there was a street party in full swing right outside our hotel which went on half the night. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, and so we did, getting to bed about 3am when it finally died down. We had a great night, but if you think you're gong to get peace and quiet in this town then think again. Not sure what it's like at the height of season when the students are on holiday but it might be worth booking a room at the back that doesn't overlook the main street, just in case.
A localização e o chá da tarde são ótimos.
sometimes noisy when trying to sleep, Wi Fi is weak in room but good in reception
Very central and close to everything. Room was a bit small but adequate. The breakfast was really good and the staff at breakfast room was helpful and always smiling. There was also a free service of afternoon tea with a suprisingly good variety of things. Cleaning service was excellent.
The internet connection was poor and at times not working at all. The hotel is right in front of the two most popular bars in Ouro Preto that keep busy until the early morning hours, so if you are a bit fussy about noise... it should not be your choice. The room window was looking at a wall....
Location, location, location
Location, architecture and breakfast and tea hour.
Very talkative crew at laundry, just underneath our bedroom, at 5am...
localizacion muito otimo, good location, good services.. Muito obrigada
They don't clean the room
right in the centre, very nice setting
Excellent location. Attentive and courteous staff. Very good breakfast and afternoon-tea buffets. Perfect for anyone wishing to visit the beautiful town of Ouro Preto.
Nice staff commitment, clean and honest. All marketing offers at right level. Private garage spaces with drivers to move cars. Even diet items present .the breakfast and afternoon tea free offer
Nothing along the 5 nights we were in.
Location and clean
The staff is not good, they are not educated
The hotel is very central to the historic city. The rooms are comfortable and clean with lots of hot water. The staff are always available and very pleasant (my girlfriend is Brazilian so we did not test their language abilities). The breakfast is outstanding and we were assisted in preparing a packed breakfast on leaving as our bus left early. I would happily stay there again.
The two most popular student bars are next door and opposite the hotel. This means some evenings are very noisy and you have to pick your way through over-spill carousing on the street. Sunday morning the municipal workers were kept busy sweeping up broken glass and vomit outside!
Beautiful hotel in an enchanting location.
Staff hardly spoke English.
I appreciated the very centric location of the hotel in the heart of the historical centre.
