There are different standards of excellence in Brazil and on Fernando de Noronha in particular. Therefore, be aware the rooms are spartan, featuring sterile flourescent overhead lighting (energy efficient, but reminded me of an interrogation chamber). There are ants everywhere on the island, and there were a few in the rooms too. There was a poorly grounded circuit in my shower I guess because I got shocked a few times while showering--yikes!
Libia and her staff are really friendly. They try to be as helpful as they can be, and if you are clear about what you want, they definitely go the extra mile. Breakfasts were a delight, and I appreciated how easy-going the staff is with allowing guests to pack extra sandwiches from the breakfast buffet for lunch.
