Pousada Porto Imperial  

The common areas including the pool area are very pretty and quiet and the computers in the sitting area are a nice touch. The breakfast is great and plentiful. Being in the old town of Paraty is very convenient/ The staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the tv had good reception. The wi-fi as long as near the front of the building was good. The wi-fi was spotty in the back areas of the property.

The hotel rooms are sparse. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. The lighting in the room was poor. It is not the type of room I want to stay in for too long once I get out of bed.

No negatives really - the hair dryer wasn't powerful, but I'm sure they would have replaced it if I'd asked.

I stayed here for 3 nights and had a upstairs room next to the road. The noise from the road was not really a problem, the lovely wooden shutters blocked out most of it. Excellent showers, huge bed and friendly and helpful staff who helped me to organise a couple of trips. Loved the passion fruit mousse at breakfast. Pool is compact but never really felt crowded.

- Amazing staff. Very professional, clearly trained and trying their best to fully solve every problem. They also speak several languages, which is seriously rare in a country where it's harder than you would think to get service in English (which is ok, we are the visitors) - Beautiful Pousada and grounds. As well as a welcoming pool area. - Good breakfast. Quality and Quantity. - Good location, except for the noise

- Noisy rooms! Most of the rooms are on the side of a very passing street nest to the Pousada. I had a Superior room and still had the same problem. This needs to be fully disclosed somehow. If you are a light sleeper, think twice, unless you're an early bird. Movement starts around 6:30 am.. - Even Superior room are extremely spartan. Bathrooms needs to be redone, and painting wouldn't be a luxury. They need to invest a minimum. - Extremely expensive. Not a value for money

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice ambiance of colonial Brazil, beautiful design in common areas, comfortable bed, good location in relation to the rest of town, very central, nice breakfast

It is a bit over-priced in my opinion, but it seems these are the prices in the area, staff was very friendly, but hardly spoke english or any other language, even so we managed to communicate the room design was cute, but it could use some refurbishing - we were not able to open the only window, and the only way to ventilate was air-conditioning, the bathroom facilities were also a bit shabby

Staf is incredble. Good parking, very high level focus on service.

The facility is old, which makes rooms and pool a little dates in size and setup. But the feel is not 'tired' or old.

It's excellent location, although this had its drawback as well.

The location is not the quietest place I've stayed. I am not sure if it is different at other times of year but on the Friday night (Festiveal de Cachaca weekend) I got no sleep as the local youngsters gathered in the side street directly outside of my window in their cars with music blaring (boom boxes in the boot of car) until 6:33 am!!! The hotal was unable to do anything about it (not even provide earplugs). The Police were not interested either. So NOONE in the Pousada slept that night. Saturday night was much better.

The brunch was really great. The rooms were very clean and quiet, and the staff was very friendly to provide suggestions for tours, etc. The showers were hot, and it was nice that there was a safe in each room. The location of the hotel is ideal, with many lovely restaurants and bars nearby.

Excellent location in historical center while still accessible by car. Friendly and attentive staff. Quaint comfortable rooms. Great pool, whirlpool and gardens. Good bkfast. We loved Paraty and Pousada Porto Imperial. We would go back.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, confortable accommodations. We particularly appreciated the fact that, previous to our arrival, and noticing we were bringing our 1yr old baby with us, the hotel put a crib and other accessories on the room it was keeping for us. So we did not had to ask for anything. It was already there.

El estilo antiguo del hotel y su decoracion

Que diga que tiene wifi en lãs habitaciones y en el salon , y lá verdad que no tienen . No cosegui conectarme .

Equipe amável, atenciosa e competente. Instalações limpas com manutenção adequada. Ambiente familiar muito agradável.

Muy buena ubicacion cerca del casco historico y al lado del rio. Amabilidad y cordialidad del personal. Edificio historico siglo XVIII muy bien conservado. Decoracion calida y lujosa en ambientes comunes. Agradable piscina y sauna Habitacion comoda,ropa de cama buena y muy limpia. Frigobar suficiente. Baño comodo, con bidet, ducha con buena temperatura y presion. Cambian las toallas todos los dias. TV por cable de 30´. Aire acondicionado muy bueno. Desayuno a horario y surtido.

Nos llamo la atencion que nos cobaran la totalidad de la permanencia en el momento de registrarnos.

Colchão, afundava no meio, chuveiro, muito esguicho. Localização do ar condicionado, direto na cama.

Atenção e gentileza dos funcionários, ambiente bem cuidado, limpo, agradável. Tem charme.

A sauna me pareceu quente demais.

Cidade colonial, bonita, bucólica, passeios ao mar, etc

Preços caríssimos, na pousada, um prato para criança (kids), custa R$ 52,00. Usei a pousada para dormir e tomar banho e paguei uma diária de R$200,00 por pessoa., sendo que no banheiro não há pia e sim no quarto.

Gostamos de tudo especialmente, a decoração colonial misturando antigo com moderno. Detalhe de cada quarto homenageando uma personalidade feminina. Café da manhã ótimo.

Localização excelente tirando rua lateral onde passam carros bem onde estão os quartos, incomodando com o barulho.

O atendimento é excelente.
