The pousada has a beautiful garden with birds (we saw colibries) and very friendly staff. They made a nice gluten-free breakfast for me with tapioca "pancakes". We had a very cozy room and the whole stay was relaxing. We hiked to Dois Rios, the road begins just some houses down from the pousada. The pousada feels environment friendly with recycle bins and nature loving staff. We had a fantastic stay, the best place I have been to.
beautiful garden as you approach your rooms. great hammock, fantastic breakfast and staff. Location is just couple of minutes walk from the centre of the village but its very good as it is a lot quieter apart from the odd dogs barking
The hotel design and garden are beautiful. A lot of plants and birds! A great communal area with hammock and very good breakfast. It is really 5 minutes from the beach.
The room could be more insulated as you can hear what is going on in your neighbours' rooms.
-breakfast is outstanding -atmosphere is terrific. It's like you're sleeping / having breakfast / in a rainforest. Birds and plants surrounding the place and a little 'riacho' runs trough the pousada. -some staffmembers speak English and some don't, either way they do everything to help you with a big smile. -it's a nice, short walk to the main streets of Abraäo. -Waking up with nothing but the sound of birds and wind blowing gently in to the trees
Gostamos muito do café da manhã. Opções de bolos, diferentes pães, sucos e frutas. Atenciosos na recepção. Os hóspedes podem assistir a filmes de sua escolha. *** The breakfast was special. There were different options of cakes, breads, juices and fruits. Most of the staff was kind. There are DVDs the guests can borrow.
Totalmente indelicado!! *** The walls are absolutely THIN and you can hear quite everything from the next room, which is deeply annoyong. We believe the hotel should create somes rules about noise after a certain time in the evening and make it clear to the guests, in order to minimize the problem of thin walls. In our bathroom, the outlet and the light switch were place BEHIND the mirror. We had to remove the mirror every time and then to use our stuff. Very annoying. One of the staff was nonsense and revelead the types and facilities of the room of each guest in front of everyone. We were in what they call "VIP room" just because we heard these accomodation was better with the noise and the receptionist told our room type to everyone in the check-in. Then, she compared our room to the standard one that another couple, who was present at the moment, had booked. Totally rude!!
Lovely staff, great hammock! Loved the breakfast
Staff are helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was very good.
It is impossible to sleep unless on the top floor which are the VIP rooms. You can hear everything from the room above and we were unable to get any sleep whatsoever. The price is high for what you get and no night's sleep. Stay in Pousada Naturalia rather. It is cheaper, nicer and a better location!
that they dont have a shuttle that goes from the airport to the island at least.
beautifull place, all wood and flowers. Romantic, hi standart, great staff
A gorgeous little retreat on the island. Staff very helpful. Nice breakfast and afternoon teas. Very clean.
Great little place, comfortable and close to the centre for restaurants, bars and main dock for boats to main land or other parts of the island.
Friendly and knowledgable staff. Breakfast and 'afternoon tea' were all excellent. The room (one of the 2nd floor better rooms) were really comfortable, cosy and clean. All the facilities you could need. Lovely hammocks, with views up the mountain. It is a bit out from the town...but only takes 5mins (yes really 5 mins) to walk to the main square. Card payments also taken, which makes life easier as no cash machine on island. Thank you!
Nothing worth mentioning...stay here!
Great hospitality and excellent food. We got a warm welcome, and the room was clean, nice, large and comfortable. The posada is beautifully located by the river.
Very nice staff, the poussada is a little farther from the town (3 minutes walk) but thanks to that it provides a quiet, paradise like get-away from the busy town. Beautiful garden, great breakfast. nice personal hammock for every room with great green view of the Island
We where two sisters traveling together and the bed was a bit small. But extra sheets where provided and minor problem.
A peaceful and comfortable oasis in an otherwise busy Ilha Grande. We enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff and delightful garden.
standard plus room is very good location is amazingly beautiful breakfast and afternoon tea are great
staff could be more personable standard room is awful, really awful and a real come down from the plus-like a class difference if they could improve these things they would get an excellent from me
The location of this Pousada is excellent - just a few minutes walk from Abrao but far enough away that it's peaceful. The room we had was clean and comfortable. The staff were also excellent - Paula in particular was incredibly helpful. We would highly recommend this Pousada
The The staff are amazing. So friendly and helpful. Great breakfast too.
The hotel is small with character. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Paula. The rooms were really nice and clean and we really liked that there was a mosquito net to ensure those little things don't bit you during the night. The room we stayed in had a dvd player and the hotel has a selection of dvds you can borrow for the night which was great if you want a quiet night in. location was great too, 5 mins walk from the port where you can get food and taxi boats to other beaches. A black sand beach is 15 mins walk from the hotel which i would recommend. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and i would 100% recommend.
Breakfast could of been better, thats the only slight negative.
Staff were great, even helped us to dry clothes. Very clean Breakfast had a good selection. Afternoon tea and coffee with a bit of cake was a very nice touch. Quiet and away from the noise of the town and other hostels.
Breakfast was a bit of a mad rush due to odd times.
Nice breakfast buffet with fresh juices, fruits, bread, cheese, ham, coffee, tea, cakes and warm pies. All you need for breakfast. Provides baggage transport at extra cost if you ask for it. Located in a quiet area close to the forest. Well maintained. Umbrellas to borrow for free on rainy days.
Not able to provide glutenfree alternatives for breakfast. Not available at Ihla Grande at all. Should at least inform about that. Noisy fan in neighbour rooms - thin walls. Bed was hard. No english speaking staff, but tried to help trough google translate. Had wifi, but it didn't work.
We rented two rooms for two couples, one room was extremely small and the other was slightly larger but very noisy. The bathrooms walls of both suites were very dirty, bath towels with stains.
