The room was good and comfortable. Breakfast offered variety and was nice despite feeling overcrowded in a small room.
I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life. My partner agrees. When we arrived we were told in a very bad tone that we did not have any room booked with them. I had to open my e-mail and show them booking.com confirmation e-mail along with all details. They still seemed puzzled and walked off to another room with my smartphone without even asking my permission. They then returned and said they would book us in right then without once apologising for all the trouble. I had to wait a further 15 minutes and in the meantime they received a phone call from a customer they were having a hard time understanding and made fun of. They were throwing the phone to each other and laughing in the background about the customer. I cannot understand how that could happen right in front of us after the long wait and bad reception. Checkout was almost just as bad. They are not polite, never smile or even say thank you or goodbye. Terrible experience.
Rio is an amazing place and the location of the hotel is decent.
Staff are incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful unless trying to sell excursions. The breakfast room isn't big enough to accommodate guests leading to long queues. Our room wasn't cleaned on two occasions. It seems the hotel isn't equipped to deal with the amount of visitors that will have if more than half full. The hotel is overpriced and there are plenty of better valued hotels available.
The hotel is next to the metro station, 5 minutes walking from Copacabana beach, close to restaurants. The pool and gym are nice with an excellent view on the beach and the Christ statue
One of the employees at the reception was not very nice to us. At the breakfast it was really crowded, we had to wait for a table, so maybe it would be a good investment to create more space for this.
Service from staff was good
Quality of food
Not enough parking spaces, had to look for a garage near by
Location is good: right next to subway station, 7-8 minutes walking from Copacobana beach. Personal knows english, which is rare in Brasil, breakfast was very good. Restaurant in the hotel was good and cheap compared to other places in Rio.
The only one - wifi in the room was unstable, but in the lobby it worked fine.
quiet, bedroom, private room next to the bedroom
In general its ok, and its not a big problem that everything is not working 100 %, but this is a 4 start hotel.
Fix your business center, the TV channel should work and do not charge your guest 4 reais for using the safe. What a joke is that for a 4 start hotel?
location, facilities, helpful staff
high prices for touristic trips, but bargaining possible
service is not so good
I like the hotel, the staff, the location and the comfort.
Far too expensive for the quality of the hotel. Room was average , tv had almost no English speaking channels and the second day didn't work at all. My door was opened 3 times in 2 days without anybody knocking and the wardrobe was musty
the staff can speak English, food is ok, room is ok
the rooms near to the street are so noisy at night
For this price range the room was a good size and comfortable, with plenty of hot water and a decent bed. Breakfast was concise but of a good quality. The Metro station is exactly opposite.
We had a bad experience with the night desk staff regarding a bit of flippancy in his judgement of us, as a young mixed race couple. This was quickly seen to by the duty manager but the comments/attitude certainly tainted our stay.
I liked the location, some staff were really good.
The staff on duty that night were the waste. He tried to bribe us to pay more than what we booked for. Luck of international exposure. I think, these guys need to more training on hotel management!!!!!!
Location was good Breakfast was excellent
Room was very simple. Plain. No drawers to put clothes in. Gym was very small.
Employis aren't friendly And they don't have any idea about service, breakfast are so bad, you'll never feel confotble about that
nice breakfast, clean nice rooms
a little pricey, they charge for high speed internet as well
Pool on the roof had a lovely view of Christ the Redeemer. Caipirinhas early evening in the bar downstairs were excellent.
Because of the World Cup i was paying 5 star prices for a 3 star experience. Hotel pretty shabby, service in the restaurant was a tad Fawltyesque and the food was average at best.
Breakfast is very good.
I have travelled around but have never seen lower value for money. Just don't visit this hotel. Some exampels. I had blood on my bed when I arrived and it was not changed once in 5 days. The personel is very aggresive and is not helpful. If anybody goes to the toalet in the building you wake up from the noise in the pipes.
the manager was rude and asked who the reservation was for and stared me up and down he was unfriendly and ignored me to help someone else even though i was there first noone helped with our luggage and the staff yelled at us ..no wifi entire stay horrible hotel and staff ..this was the worst part of my trip...the best thing i liked was when i checked out
i liked nothing i asked for help with taxi and i was ignored so i walked down the street ..horrible experience
Location is great. Close to Metro, beach and good restaurants within walking distance. Room comfortable and clean.
Very expensive during FIFA WC Charging daily rate for use of room safe! Aircon ineffective and it was winter.
it was ok generally
too expensive but due to world cup
breakfast was good, location was good (few minutes walk to the beach)
Rooms were clean and it had a good breakfast selection.
The price during the World Cup was outrageous.
