Located in the Barra da Tijuca district, the 4-star Promenade Barra First Hotel welcomes you to spend peaceful and joyful moments in its beautiful swimming pool surrounded by grounds.
Score from 382 reviews Very good
On the seafront of Barra da Tijuca Beach, the 4-star Royalty Barra Hotel invites you to spend relaxing days and nights in accommodations with balcony and sea or mountain views.
Score from 321 reviews Good
Located along the seafront of the largest beach of Rio de Janeiro, the 3-star Promenade Casa del Mar offers a central location next to the Marapendi Lake, in the ascendant district of Barra da Tijuca....
Score from 298 reviews Good
The 4-star Golden Tulip Regente Hotel is in a great location across from Copacabana Beach and is near Ipanema and Leblon beaches. It features a restaurant overlooking the sea.
Score from 648 reviews Good
The hotel is just across the road from downtown shopping area of Bara da Tijuka with many dining options.
The staff are more than willing to assist but language was somewhat a hindrance.
Wifi very poor, conference calls for work were a challenge as internet quality was very bad Half the equipment in the gym do not work Noisy due to street Had to shower in cold water twice in the week stay as it seems the hotel cannot handle being even half booked.
they need better pillows. better blankets better A/C.
The staff are very kind and helpful.
It a little further from Touristic places in Rio
Location and cozyness
Sauna was not working at all.
Hotel staff were great and helpful. Internet was OK and stable most of the time. Breakfast is nice
Location is a disaster if you are looking to hang out in Rio city centre. No metro. Bus can take up to 2 hours depends on trafic. Same for taxi and very expensive. The hotel should't be shown when you are looking for hotels in the city centre. Very very far away from every tourist attraction. The hotel area is boring. Nothings special there. The rooms are "cold" and not freindly.
closeness to Barra Beach, breakfast is better than other Promenade facilities in the area
room is very small and relatively expensive, I hope it's because of timing with World Cup. It will be interesting to see what the rate is after World Cup.
good value for money compared to other hotels in that area
the cleaning of the room
Location. The hotels is in Barra da Tijuca, but it's also close to the way back Leblon, Ipanema and airport.
As a business traveler I need to work in my room most of times, so wi-fi is a dealbreak for me. The internet at Promenade wasn't even fair.
They had pool and a nice breakfast.
The staff was actually lying to us. About sauna being ready. After asking them to get the sauna ready, they said that it will be ready in 30 minutes. We asked them to call us when it will be ready. They did not call in 2 hours. The sauna was ready in 3 hours after we asked them. Only one sauna worked, the other type of sauna was broken and they did not let us know beforehand. There was construction everywhere and we were put in the worst room in the middle of construction.
Easy access to Barra Shopping and few blocks away from the beach. Lovely apartment rooms. The junior suite is fantastic. The front desk staff speak English
The gymn is not manned, front desk not good at picking calls from the room promptly
Prices are 100% high close to the football/soccer world cup mid year. No other reason that could justify this.
At the reception they spoke English and were always friendly. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit salads.
The area was very safe but too far away from the city center and main attractions.
good quality for the price
barra is far away
If you choose safety and comfort rather than convenience, this is a wonderful choice in Rio. Located in a safe residential area for middle-class, you can walk to shopping center across the street. need to take taxi to every tourist areas. The closest metro station is in ipanema beach and costs around 35-40 Rias by taxi. Very modern and spacious room with the same price of a lousy 3-star hotel in the beach area. Front desk speaks perfect English and is helpful.
Wash basin has some pipe issues.
Wifi was this time very good at paradiso, may have improved it
Processing of my checkin took 30 min, due to unqualified receptionist Stuff in general not very friendly and professional
The restaurant was open all the time so I didn't have to keep to their schedule. Staff were very helpful and the hotel very clean and organized. The little ferry to the beach was great.
Lack of information re attractions but this is the norm in all of Rio.
From the welcome at reception to our departure six days later we were exposed to the best part of rio de janeiro. the room was better than expected. the breakfast was just delicious and the staff friendly courteous and helpful. We were all in agreement that we were very impressed with this property. and the secret beach at the back beats ipanema and copacabana. a definite "must return" hotel
Good hotel, staf is friendly but speak english not so good,
A lot of "pernilongos" even in 3rd floor. Air Conditioner was not excelent, just good... not cool enough.
Breakfast was good, staff also and the room service very fast.
I had problems with the air in my room, it was dripping inside the room and the staff was not able to fix. The cleanears also went to my room at 8:30am one day and on another day at 5pm. There was no routine.
Loction is very good. Close to the downtown shopping mall and to the Barra shopping mall. Also close, by car, to the Barra beach. Qite place.
Reception gave me the keys to my room, when I checked-in by evening (very late hours) and when I opened the door, there was someone in there already sleeping. The guy almost had a heart attack! Big confusion!. This should have never happened!
Swimming pools, breakfast, room service, friendliness of some emplyees,
The bed was awful. It was two beds set next to each other and they got separated during the night.
Localização muito boa. Boas acomodações.
