Excellent breakfast, good position for visiting city center, close to public transport.

Bedroom Air Conditioning. In a very hot city it was ineffective and therefore made the environment uncomfortable in the bedroom.

Great location, 5 minutes from a beach, near to Metro stop so easy to get to Copacabana or old town. Nice feeling area with plenty of shops, restaurants and life. Sensible price for Rio, clean and friendly, nice breakfast

Design and layout

We were charged for a breakfast that was to be included in purchase price.

As expected, the breakfasts were amazing: great variety of tropical juices and fresh fruit, desserts were yummy too. Super cheap comparing to the beachside hotels. Location! Safe residential area, metro station down the block, bus services to Botafogo, Sugar Loaf, Lapa and other attractions.

No hairdryer in the room - you have to borrow it at the reception. Stuff speaks very little English.

The room was very clean and spacious, the staff helpful, the facilities very commendable, and the buffet breakfasts were excellent and especially notable! The location of the hotel was especially crucial and useful for me, however. You can easily walk to all of the following: Parque do Flamengo, Praia do Flamengo, the Palacio do Catete and the adjoining (usefully shady) Parque do Catete, together with the Catete Metro Station, in five minutes or less. The latter is especially useful, giving easy access to all of the following: the key southern beaches (Copacabana, Ipanema, etc.), the city centre (Carioca or Cinelandia Metro Stations), Botafogo (for access to Pao de Azucar), and Largo do Machado - easily walkable though - for buses to Cosme Velho (to connect with the rack railway to Corcovado / Cristo Redentor).

It is very close to the beach!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was excellent

The toiletries in the bathroom were poor and there was no hair dryer

The location (near the metro-station) and the services. The room was good and we had enough space for 3 persons. The breakfast was very good. We have been here last year too, it is a good hotel!

It was a bit difficult to recieve the wifi in our room, but after some time it worked well.

Bfast was amazing. Could not have been better. Great room with amazing space. A decent balcony with nice view. Location was great with close connection to metro.

First day the rooms smelled to humidity and disinfectant. The view from the room was poor, Internet was not free, needed two different remote controls and written instructions to turn on the TV, no bathtub only shower.

I liked the fact that we could get a room for 4 adults. There are very few rooms in all of Rio that can accomodate 4. Thansk!! Offer more rooms for families!!

O atendimento no restaurante foi ótimo, são muito atenciosos e hospitaleiros e o café da manhã é muito bom, possui uma boa variedade de frutas e pães. O preço do hotel é bom e os quartos são bons e limpos.

O atendimento da recepção é péssimo!!! Não são hospitaleiros e no momento do check-in fizeram confusão, perderam o meu voucher e abriram o meu cadastro em nome de outra hospede, conclusão tive que imprimir novamente o voucher porque o recepcionista havia sumido com o mesmo em questão de segundos.No final das contas consegui resolver tudo porem o atendimento é um pouco grosseiro.

The breakfast here is excellent! Location is good if you want to stay away from the more pricey Copacabana and Ipanema.

Hotel Regina was clean, comfortable, conveniently located, reasonably priced with an excellent breakfast buffet. We felt safe when walking in the area, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

The coffee shop hamburger was non-descript.

Very good location, near to the mainroad where the bus stops to Sugar Loaf mountain, Copacabana and Ipanema beaches are located. Safe area with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Very good value for money for a safe, clean 3* hotel in a relatively expensive city. Not the most touristy area though, but public transport links to desired areas are excellent.

Convenient location -- a few minutes' walk from Catete metro, with rapid access to Ipanema and the city centre, and only 10 minutes by taxi to Santos Dumont airport (from where the shuttle to Rio's international airport costs only 12 reais). Excellent breakfast buffet. Friendly, helpful staff.
