The location was excellent, really. It's really close to Copacabana beach and the area surrounding the hostel looked pretty safe to me. It's also close to bus stops and a subway station as well as restaurants, bars, cafés and supermarkets. The staff was always very friendly, which is a big plus, too! :)
The Wi-Fi connection wasn't always reliable -- which was not the end of the world, really, but just something that they could work on. Also, the minibar and the A/C in my room didn't work very well.
Location was great but up a steep street that was tough with 20kg of gear. The three young reception staff were really helpful and enthusiastic.
Breakfast was lacking but it's a free hostel breakfast.
Good location (close to the metro and the beach)
The breakfast is really poor and lame, most of the staff isn't helpful at all, the price is too high.
Location is good. The receptor was very helpful and spoke english.
The hostel is very dirty. The bathrooms were not cleaned in weeks as was not the kitchen. For breakfast they just refill cups with marmelade and butter which were previously used by other guests :/
No Passport details taken so could stay with more anonymity and bring guests in without any fuss.
The price of the hotel was increased more than a 100% due to the world cup. This was exaggerate. The goverment did not control the increase of the prices in hotels. It was a shame.
The location which is close to Copacabana beach. The staff is very friendly.
The hotel took advantage of the FIFA world cup and its prices were increased more than 100%.
Friendly surroundings, and guests
Small bed and room.
A localização é muito boa. A equipe é muito prestativa. The location is good. The staff is very helpful. It's close of subway, bus stations and the beach.
O café é um pouquinho tarde, pra quem quer sair e aproveitar mais o dia é um pouco ruim. O banheiro também não é dos melhores. The breakfast is a little late. And the bathrooms isn't the best one.
Very close to copacabana beach and food places.
Small lockers in the room - wifi sucks sometimes.
Very dirty. Please, go there only if you really need to.
The staff is great and make you feel home from the start. I met really cool travellers there too, the place is very close to the metro station, so excellent location in copacabana and the rooms are clean and have lockers. The hostel is clean and have a nice bar and hang-out area in the roof. If I go to Rio again i will always go back to Rio Backpackers :)
It was all good. Not complains :)
Friendly staff, good breakfast, a lot of tours. Very near to the beach :)
staff is lyer
The hostel with the friendliest staff i have been to yet. The location is really good on a very quiet and secure street. I really liked the free caipirinha! The rooms are nice, they give you a towel!
Toilets have no soap for washing your hands The kitchen is very small and crowded
The location was fine and the breakfast was very decent,
We booked a mixed room with AC and fan. The first night both didnt work and the heat inside the 6 person room has suffocating. Nobody gave a solution that day and the person in charge during the night had lack of experience. They also relocated two people to our room which telled us simply "they leave for a while and their backpacks were outside their room when they came back" simply because the hostel needed to relocate two new tourists. That gave us a lack of thrust in the hostel when we leaved for a trip. Also the wanted to charge a locker key that was already broken when we got it. Definitelly NOT a good choice to stay at Rio.
friendly staff...whenever i ask something they try to help ...feel home
