In front of the hotel, there was so beatiful beach and sea, it was one of the best memory, definately I will introduce this rio othon palace hotel to any people who will visite Rio De Jainero city. Thanks a lot. Actually, I have arrived at Rio Othon Palace hotel around 9 AM. However, there was no vacancy room, we have waited for 4~5 hours for check-in without any servise from Hotel. |

the beauty of rio staff at front of hotel seemed connected to taxi drivers who over charged and always tried to take you to a jewelry establishment to sell you precious stones. Very high pressure. Every taxi I took away from the hotel cost me 50% less back. Not a pleasant experience. |

Excellent location. Rooms a bit rustic - need to upgrade. Leaky ceiling pipe left a puddle on the floor - Apto 2310. |

The breakfast They have a hidden "policy" about not allowing people to bring women up to their rooms. I asked them to show me the policy and they couldnt, stating that its a policy but its not written anywhere. This "policy" also didn't appear on the hotel policies that came with my receipt and it was not on their official website. Also, When I put my credit card into the website booking. |

The view, the staff at the restaurant Baby bed was only delivered after 6 phone calls and 6 hours of waiting. Rooms were dirty, towells not changed, internet access not available all the time, reception staff were rude, charging for the use of safe in one room while free of charge in the other (the one had an electronic safe that was free of charge, whereas the other had an old-fashion type that needed a key, and there was a daily... |

The smoked surubim, the 2 bottles of water and the little pies offered as a welcome set as we entered the already cooled room, which was comforting after our flight to Rio and the check in procedures. In my kids room the air conditioner was not cooling the air. In our room my wife had superficial cuts in her hand just trying to open the toilet door due to delamination of chromed parts. In the restaurant my kids asked for some paper sheets to draw while waiting for the meal, and were granted with printed room maintenaince schedule... |

The beach was directly across the road Although I had a confirmation from you the hotel didnt have any confirmation of my booking. As I was travelling on my own it worried me that I had no room. However they did upgrade me to an executive suite. However the room wasnt up to standard, the windows wouldnt open without giving it full force and the louvre doors wouldnt open without full force from me. |

nothing other than easy access to beach front I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for the price and the star rating. The rating of 4 star is very misleading at best. Room is about 2 1/2 to 3 star and furniture is very old and shower curtain is very dirty and tile is old. |

in front of the beach room is very poorly fitted for a 4 star. Lobby maybe a 4 star but room at best 3 star to even 2 1/2. It's not worth the money nor the star rating. That star rating is very misleading. I would consider taking that rating off so future clients will not be upset. |

Gorgeous views from my room. "Deluxe" section ("Business center") staff is SUPERB! Great Copacabana location. Error in my reservation price. Initial housekeeper for my room was negligent (later replaced by an excellent one) |

Terrific location!! Across the street from Copacobana beach. Short walk to great eating and neighborhood shops. Our room had fantastic views. Our reservation was for delux accomodations in a 5 star hotel. The first room had stained, torn and dirty carpets, broken cabnet doors, bathroom tub was chipped and the painted finish was peeling. Toilet, bathroom counter and sink were dirty. the next day, we spent the night. The next day, I was again told nothing was available and to check back. I returned in the PM and still nothing available so asked to speak with the manager. Within 20 minutes we had another room but no better condition than the first. |

The hotel was much better, than we expected after reading previous reviews of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. However, I believe, we were in better position, because we speak portuguese and this make things much easier. The hotel has great location and I do not see a reason, why would anyone want to pay double and stay in Ipanema, rather than in Copacabana, having the same. The staff could take more initiative explaining the facilities of the hotel and the benefits. For example, we found out that beach towels and umbrellas are complementary only on the second day by seeing other tourist on the beach with hotel towels. Unfortunately, nobody told us about this. |

The ocean view, superb. Ask for a room on the 20th floor or up, the lower floor are old decor and is more noise The balconies are tiny, you can not fit a chair. The air conditioning did not work in one of the rooms |

Good views and location. The decor of the room, the poor standard of service, the fact that guests must pay extortionate prices to use the gym and internet, the fact that despite several requests the hotel has not provided me with a receipt for my stay. |

An excellent hotel, with probably the best views in Copacabana, specially at the higher levels. I was at the 27th floor and with a view over the Pao de AÇucar from the bed itself, amazing. Excellent light and very confortable bed and room. Situated close to the middle of the Copacabana bay, it is greatly located. |
