Views. Pool. Location in Rio Vermelho.
Excelent location (near nice restaurants and cofee shops), marvelous view, good price, free wi-fi
Freezing pool, breakfast not included, just regular restaurant, beach in front of the hotel isn,t apropriate to swim (huge rocks)
The restaurant could be better
Excelent location, calm and safe area, near good restaurants. Marvelous view. Very nice price-quality relationship.
Very expensive restaurant. Breakfast is not included in the room rate. Freezing pool. Dirty room's floor.
location comfort breakfast service
small leisure area unfriendly lobby
Location - on the beach, great restaurants, safe, nice comfortable hotel.
The view of the room. The pool and the ocean! Gym and sauna too!
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner a little too pricey.
Hotel definitely felt more like a 4 star nice hotel for the price of a Pousada. Rooms were very clean. Staff super nice. Location is right by great nightlife, restaurants and bus stop to go to other areas of Salvador.
No real beach to swim. But still amazing views
I really loved the modern, clean hotel with its fantastic view to the sea, safe area and its amazing breakfast. Great pool, and mostly very friendly personnel.
I was unlucky and got a big cockroach in my room, probably through the open window. After telling it to the reception they quickly took care of it. On the last day, they first would refuse to me to use the pool after the checkout time. I found it strange - why making an issue out of a quick dip in the pool at 2pm before taking the plane back? When I complained to the manager, they made an exception.
To my surprise the staff in this hotel speaks English, which is a rarity in Bahia, so if you don't speak Portuguese, this would be your hotel. The hotel is close to a supermarket and many good local restaurants. Hotel is very clean, breakfast was great.
The breakfast, although good, is really expensive (32 reais), considering that every other hotel where I stayed during my trip offered free breakfast that was just as good as this one. The nearby beach is all right, but the sea is very wild, so not a good place to swim.
Construction in the backyard
Great hotel, definetely worth the money. English speaking staff, friendly, very Americanized hotel in Brazil.
There's nothing I didn't like about the location or stay at this hotel.
Swimming pool, location
Wifi was not always working except on the groundfloor
Rio Vermelho is a nice location The swimming pool is small, but very nice and has a great view It's a simple, but nice hotel, reviews definitely make it seem great.
Bad view on the room No facilities for fun except for the swimming pool It's not really such a special hotel at all The breakfast is expensive.
If you find yourself exhausted by the lunacy of Salvador and its challenging climate, a night here will be the answer to your prayers. I was staying in the centre for 12 days but needed a break and a seaview, and was delighted with my choice. The reception staff were attentive and responsive (full marks go to Paula, muito obrigado!) An excellent and varied breakfast. The hotel's pool - its star feature I would say - is propped up on the rock so you can have a view of the horizon and the two lovely bays either side. This part of Rio Vermehlo juts out enough that there is a most welcome refreshing breeze - the only time I experienced one in Salvador.
The bar staff were a little confused or confusing (I couldn't understand why at one point in the evening I could order a glass of wine, but later on it had to be a bottle, or choose something else!).
Very clean, comfortable rooms. Picturesque swimming pool, excellent price to quality ratio. A few good restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Some staff members, even at reception, do not speak English.
Muito bem localizado e confortável.
The pool was awesome. The staff were friendly and spoke English.
Wonderful pool and sight, really kind and well prepared staff.
Breakfast buffet in general Very friendly and helpful staff Swimming pool! Felt very welcome with baby
Watery juice at breakfast No direct access from hotel to beach Barman needs to learn how to make pina colada!
The cleanliness of the room and the hotel. Staff very well mannerd and friendly.
They can improve a lot on their room service. By getting staff to learn English. When I tried to place a order I must have spoken to 3 different people. They still could not understand me.
next to sea - nice breakfast
I found the accounts department very unsympathetic when I asked to sort my bill out when I arrived as my credit card used to book reservation had recently been cloned and had been cancelled. It has put me off staying at this chain of hotels in the future.
Nice room with excellent view of sea side Nice swimming pool
