Wildlife all around us. Nice restaurant. Perfectly clear river for use of dipping and snorkelling. Hammocks near pool.
Trouble with language barrier, as we spoke english and only one person spoke a little english. But not their fault. We managed to find a place called muito bonito, where we were helped by english speaking staff. There is a hotel and travel agency there. Had some trouble getting to the place, not many people knew where it was. Make sure you plan your route before - Going via Jardin through south if coming from campo grande, in order to avoid long dirt roads from north.
All the staffs are Good and very kind and I can feel relax in the nature, bangalo is very clean isolated, restaurant and other facilities are unique. in the morning many bird wake up the sleeping. food is also nice, and the river beside is also good to swim. In the garden, there are many bird and capivara, monkey, etc and it's very unexpected experience.
Location is little bit far from the city center (30 min distance, 20 min distance is un non-paved road...) Food is good, but could be little bit better considering the value of money.
We loved everything about the hotel, the grounds, the river, the birds and agoutis coming to feed. It was a truly wonderful experience. The food was good and the dining room and lounge very nicely decorated. The cabin was very rustic and fitted in beautifully with the surroundings. Just wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were extremely helpful; we arrived very late the first night and they were waiting for us and had supplied sandwiches etc. in the cabin as we had missed dinner.
Lovely grounds and very agreeable staff. Total privacy.
For the money the food, which was quite good, should be spectacular. The cabins themselves are a bit cramped and again, for the money, there should eb more luxury.
amidst the most wonderful wilderness setting
Best hotel I have ever stayed in Pantanal in regard to cleanliness, comfort and atmosphere. Amazing location and grounds of this very nice Fazenda close to Bonito. While staying in Bonito means you have to book guides and tours around the city (and transportation to get there), staying on Faz. St. Esmeralda means that you can do flotuation, canoeing and more on the property of the farm.
