Near lapa. The place itself is no good unless you want to keep hearing sex.
They need to make it clear that it's commonly known to be a motel, that people mainly go there to use it for a couple of hours for some fun; it's not nice if you've got family and kids in this supposed "hotel". They should at least make one floor just for this malarkey if they want to consider themselves a hotel. Also, they only cleaned the room when you ask.
Great location to see a game at the Maracana. Would be good bargain for brief stay in Rio for major event like the Olympics. Much cheaper than any 4 or 5 star hotel and almost all 3 star hotels. Security was good and left valuables in room without a problem. Easy to get a taxi out front.
This hotel is a "mature" hotel and rents rooms in 4 hour blocks. The location has heavy traffic out front during the day and this may be a problem for those who want to sleep in past 7 am. Room walls are also thin and you can hear TVs and talking relatively easily.
The room isn't too bad
The location is very poor
available free parking
breakfast was not buff and very cheap
Hotel Sheik is a charlet and the rooms all of them reek of cigarettes.
The price compare with hitels near to the beach
Breakfast was the only good thing about my stay at this place.
The area was not safe. Too much noise inside room, it was like sleeping outside on the streets. No shampoo in the room to take a shower. Beds were extremely unconfortable. No remote to operate the TV. So little for my money. R/. 477 a night does not justify the service for this place. I would not stay there again
The price, size of the rooms, and hospitality.
Not to many people spoke English.
Close to Lapa. Staff tried their very best to speak in English, Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast between 6-10 and delivered every day to your room once you called reception for it. Ideal for a single male, good price considering Rio's expensive anyway, especially close to the world cup. 5-10 mins walk to a very convenient metro service.
There were some ants in my room, yet this may be down to the sugar I kept near my kettle.
Friendly staff, breakfast in room, location was in the vicinity of the downtown area, easy to walk anywhere, easy to get to metro station, safe location considering that this is a different country, so adjust your expectations. .
Steep price, but since it was Carnival time, it was to be expected.
The fact that someone invadeded my privacy by having the key to my safe and playing on my computer
nearby lapa, close to metro station, you can travel anywhere very fast but watch out in nights. service is good.
it is not a hotel, its a motel, so it could be cheaper !
Fantastic clean rooms. Perfect for young couples. ;) Free breakfast brought right into your room's entry way whenever you call the front desk to let them know you want it. Cheap room service meals open until 3 AM.
The location is in the Central area that can get deserted and a little sketchy on Weekends and evenings. On the bright side, you can always take cabs to and from the hotel, the Metro is a short walk away, and Lapa is close by.
Price is fair Safe in the room Free Parking
Male receptionist was not sympathetic. Halls are dark. Location is dangerous at night
