Checkin procedure & difficulty in accepting and acknowledging a Booking.com reservation

The range of food offered at breakfast, size of room (but outdated) and the latge swimming pool area.

In yourt room description as per your website you said the room I booked came with a balcony. This is not correct, The rooms only come with a juliette bacony - french doors that open....no balcony. AND....my room came without this as none was available so i paid for something that was not provided. The main restaurant for dinner is twice the price as the retaurant at Park Suites - a mere 100 meters away.

Spacious

Showing its age. Rediculous in this age to charge for internet access and use of the room safe. Pool not very clean. No shops to buy odd food items. Taxis expensive

Easy access to the daily tours.

The service is horrible. The staff is not prepared to help you specially at the restaurants in the property. The place smells mold - I have to change my room 3 times until I found a room that did not smells. They have a mini Zoo with a big cat in a very small cage and the central air from the hotel is next to the cat's cage with a horrendous noise driving the cat insane.

Location.

Hotel is old, outdated, staff is slow and horrible. Got sick and they have a nurse in the premises and she was supposed to see me. After two hours I called and she had left earlier an no one informed me. They sent me then to a local clinic who would not take even a credit card just cash. Food in the hotel is also awful. Never to return in my life. Bathrooms were done in the 70's and never upgraded and I paid for s superior room.

Proximity to the Rio Nigro River

It was over all relaxing

It was not overly expensive.

The website said they had shuttle service to the airport, which they did not. You had to take a taxi, which was not cheap.

If you are going to Amazon, this Hotel is a perfect place to stay. We got a good deal, so decided to stay here. The breakfast was awesome. There is a small zoo within the hotel. The pool looked terrific though we didn't have enough time to use it as we stayed here just for a night. Its little far away from the city and in the nicest part of the town.

The setting of the hotel is excellent and the facilities are good.

Self contained resort. Swimming pool was beautiful and a great attraction in a tropical environmnet. Main dining room was beautiful and the nightly buffet good.

Remote location from the center of Manaus city. The city bus takes about 40 min. To reach the city center. I saw no hotels of comparable quality or comfort in Manaus. There was a conference when we were there and the dining room was closed one night. The nightly buffet was vastly downsized and moved to the coffee shop and only slightly reduced in price. I felt the hotel valued the conference business more than those guests who were independent travelers. As a result we ate at the adjacent Park Suites Hotel. Note to photographers: There is a wonderful bar on the 16th floor of the Park Suites with a killer sunset view.

The location is fantastic, the hotel shows the history of the Amazon on its decor and architecture.

Hotel needs some repairs. Prices are too high for water and should have a la carte menu rather than buffet ony in main restaurants to cater for vegetarians better. Staff were bickering in breakfast room on most mornings.

Not much of anything.

For the cost of the room the hotel was pitiful. Our room had mold growing on the bathroom walls and around the showers and sinks and stains and rust everywhere. The room was old and did not have good housekeeping. We had to request towels and toilet paper. The location is away from anything within walking distance except for the beautiful Ponte Negro beach. To get anywhere else you have to take a taxi and they are expensive. You can take a bus but I had my passport and some money stolen on the bus. they are crowded with locals going or coming from the beach. The hotel charges for anything extra they can and watch your bill. They even charge for internet use and the internet is poor at best. (There is free internet all over Manaus including the parks, Theater plaza and even the downtown hotels have free internet, but NOT Tropical Manaus.) The pool was nice but the waterlevel tiles were very greasy and I found grease floating in one corner. I found everything overcharged and in poor condition. I would rate this hotel a 3 star at best.

Run down, not clean, unhelpful staff, no proper restaurants, poor quality food at breakfast buffet (green eggs and old cheese), mouldy bathrooms.

The hotel has had a grand tradition of being one of the fine hotels on the Amazon river and thus it has a great location.

The hotel is not in as good a state of repair as the location, price and reputation would warrent. It needs to be renovated to restore iot to its previous glory.

Fantastic - Tropical Manaus will suit everyone, all ages and all races.

Lack of internet made it hard for us to work. Waiting 20 minutes after set pick-up time at the Manaus Port after a very long day. Felt like an eternity..

I was only there one night - form 4:00pm until 7am the next morning. We were meeting a tour boat. Did not the hotel facilities - just the room and dinning.

We stayed at the hotel because it was where we caught our boat to ariau Towers Hotel in the Amazon. The hotel is overpriced and dank. There are other options for less.
