location - close to the subway and lots of shops and cafes around, early check in at 7 am without any problems, nice breakfast, stable wifi, some employees speak english
wifi was only in the lobby, there were someone's hair all over the bathroom wall when we arrived and even on the next day it wasn't removed. we didn't know that we have to leave the key at reception to get our room cleaned during the day, so on the second day in the evening we came back to our room and it was in the same condition as we left it. however when we asked for at least clean towels, the host kindly cleaned our room. after check-out we asked for a taxi service, which was good but very overpriced
Location, location, location, location
Good location and services. The rooms are too small but cleaned
4 miutes walk to Flamengo beach Friendly staff. Abput 5 minutes walk to Largo do Machado Metrô.
Only place for a computer was on top of the fridge. Very hard to fit into the bathroom, very strange design, or actuly not designed at all. Primitive breakfast.
Friendly staff Good location Relatively cheap neighborhood Safety
Room small, specially bathroom
The location was safe and the surrounding area architecturally interesting if you like Art Deco.
The tiny rooms and the lack of a lobby or lounge area; wanting to go out is not the same as having to go out. Flamengo Beach is not safe for swimming owing to pollution; rather frustrating.
Very close to the heart of Rio and a short walk from the Metro! Wifi was available in my room.
I was placed in a very small and compact room - but this is understandable given staying there during the world cup.
The staff were great, the WiFi was decent.
The bed wasnt that comfy and the rooms were a bit small. The bathroom was tiny.
price, enought equipment
the room was too small
Nice area Nice accommodation Internet worked fine Comfortable Clean
some staff spoke good English and were very helpful even though we didn't speak very good portugese.
Pleasant place in beautiful surroundings, close to the beach and center, friendly staff...
Very good central location in Rio near metro stops and right next to very nice Flamengo Park & Beach. Good breakfast that extended to 10:00AM. Room very clean, including bedspreads. Good A/C. Good & free WIFI. Gave us a late checkout we requested. Staff spoke enough English for us to get by.
Very, very small room (no desk or chair), very, very small bathroom and very, very small window. Elevator did not reach to our extended floor (room 209) so we had to carry luggage up steps. Hot water was out one morning for several hours. Shower leaks onto bathroom floor so do not have anything on the bathroom floor when showering.
It was in Brazil
Customer service is seemingly fine until something goes wrong as it surely will. Example, no hot water as boiler broke down was apparently only considered a problem by us, despite pointing out we had paid ridiculous price for our stay which would normally have allowed for a shower! Rooms and showers were dark and dingy as it was! Security of rooms is by simple and vulnerable traditional turnkey and, when out, keys were kept by reception - on return, different shift staff gave out keys without any verification of who we were. Breakfast is equally poor. Rio hotels, especially this place, need to think what customers want rather than what basic life support to provide! If you want a roof over your head, Venezuela does have that. Better to go elsewhere.
location, personal is nice and welcoming
breakfast pretty poor compared to other hotels in brazil
proximity to restaurants & Metro, nicer & less expensive than previous hotel in Rio
No hot water for morning showers, room was tiny, staff didn't speak English, AC wasn't very good
Location was near a major road
Only 1 person spoke English, room had a funky odor, bathroom was small and there was no hot water, tv and a/c only worked if I put the key card in a slot by the door which nobody bothered to tell me about. There was no safe in the room. Breakfast was small with few options. I checked out early and immediately lost wifi access and they wouldn't let me get wifi unless I paid for another stay
Near Metro Station. Easy access to Cristo and Sugar Loaf.
Stayed in 2 different rooms. Rooms and toilets are very small.
good localisation, close to bus stops, metro station and just across to Flamengo beach; cleaning and fresh towels every day, small refrigerator with basic beverages was refilled every day (mini bar is extra charged)
extremely small room, but to be fair other rooms are considered to be a little bit more spacious and just we were unlucky to get the smallest one; poor WiFi on higher floors; it's hard to communicate with the staff in any other language than Portuguese
The staff were very friendly! They went out of their way to help you! The rooms were snug, but clean! The area the hotel was located was nice too, Not even a 5 minute walk from the beach! Very pleasant stay, would recommend to my family and friends
Wifi is not free
Humidity and mold causes bad air quality at the room
personell is fantastic, very very helpful location cleanness breakfast
rooms smallish but for us not a problem as it is only to sleep
