Julio Cesar at the breakfast buffet was extremely attentive and always provided excellent service with a big smile

Price / Quality excellent for Ipanema. Two blocks from the beach, one block from Zaza restaurant and four blocks from the Lagoon. Clean, friendly staff but most of all, good price quality for the location.

They had free wifi that worked well consdering that wifi in most hotels in Brasil was disappointing. The hotel is located in a nice prt of Ipanema and close to the beach.

When I arrived at the hotel, they had no record of my reservation. The room was extremely noisey and when the reception changed my room, they put me in a room where there was a wall in front of the window and a big air conditioner unit working outside. My girlfriend wa bitten by bed bugs all ovr her body and was sick from the food at breakfast. And all this for a Euro 170/night hotel that would cost less than Euro 50/night in any major European city. A rip off.

I have stayed at The Hotel Vermont for Carnival for several year's and think it is an excellent value for the price.

I am an X Hotel Executive and can honestly say The Hotel Vermont has done an Excellent Job improving the product and service every year I have been staying at the property.

Location is great. Staff helpful, especially Regilon. Room clean and comfortable. I asked for a wuiet room at the back with a view of Christo Redentor and they delivered that no problem. Good experience

The price, which as with all well located Rio hotels is expensive.

The staff don't smile enough (as a lot of people in Rio). I don't know why... Smile is really necessary to feel comfortable in a hotel. Please SMILE !

Location... And that's about it!!!

More of an hostel. You would not expect to pay more than 40€ for the equivalent accomodation in a major city in Europe. 160€/Night is outrageous. Do not expect to sleep either. Extremely noisy. Expect house keeping to shout and bang doors from very early in the morning.

The English speaking staff was excellent, very friendly, and helpful.

It was close to the beach and gay bars-restaurants. The staff was helpful in organizing excursions and answering questions. The breakfast was excellent!

The air conditioning wasn't very strong and it was a bit hot one night but the staff were attentive to the issue and they replaced the unit with a slightly stronger one.

Although far from being renovated recently, the room was amazingly clean, impossible to find a dirty spot even in the bathroom. It's location is excellent also, and the room was quiet.

The room is rather small and needs a fresh up so it doesn't invite to spend much time inside, but who would in Rio !

Excellent location, the hotel is located only 2 blocks away from the ipanema beach, nice breakfeast and very helpful and friendly staff.

room was not cleaned every day, room and bathroom were old and small, air conditioning was old and noisy. Too many employees (eg. to carry luggage), when this is not important, but it would be more important to have renovated facilities. Clothes from employees (complete suit) were old and do not fit with Rio (should be more relaxed clothes).

Location was excellent, two blocks from the beach. Breakfast was very good. Staff had good English and were very friendly and helpful.

I liked the location of the hotel as well that is was one of the cheapest hotels in the area.

Unfortunately even it was once of the cheaper hotel in the area, what you get for the price is pretty poor. But that's with the most hotels in Rio/Ipanema.

Breakfast, every morning it is a triunph of fresh fruit!! I loved Mango from this Hotel! :)
