Score from 458 reviews Good
Friendly staff, the hotel is beautifully and efficiently designed, good prices on food and beverages by the pool or beach.
The beer tasted old (and we insisted on trying again at various opportunities), as if it had been in and out the fridge during slow season.
the atmasphere is generally good, some staffs of the restraunt, of maintainence (Mr. Antonio) are nice
1, some staffs are cold, don't laugh 2, due to air condition's mad noisy, the hotel changed my room, but to a lower category without any explaination 3, the lower category room has mosquitos, I woke up at 2' and killed 5 4, the dinner has almost nothing special, only fish and chicken acceptable 5, reception can't make receipt and asked me to complete a paper of requirment, promised to send me the receipt in 2 days, now it passed 3 days, I did'nt receive any email or phone call
The venue is great. The pools, the direct access to the beach, the view. The overall ambience is superb. Food is just ok, but the dinner buffet and breakfast have enough options that vary almost every day.
Staff is not up to par for international travelers. No english, no spanish. Sometimes came up too rough. Front desk staff not friendly at all, which gives a bad first impression. The location is not too great, but if you like staying at the hotel, you'll have a fine stay.
The people who work for the hotel is always trying to help u.
The was a reforme in the room next to my, really loud .
Staff was very friendly. Was there for the World Cup and it was a good time. I thought the beach was great, along with the pools. I enjoyed the location as it was close enough to the village itself for night life or just hang at the hotel.
Could have been a bit cleaner in the room, specifically the shower. Not overly bad, just could use some updating. Certainly wasn't as lively as I thought it would be, given the pictures on internet. WC visitors made it fun, but not sure how slow it would be on regular weekend
Loved the staff, the rooms and the location was perfect! Right on the beach!
The weather didn't hold up, but it was rainy season. The days it didn't rain were perfect!
Helpful staff, activities, meal plan, on the beach, staff arranged taxi from Recife airport
Far from downtown, loud room doors
We had a problem with our first room (noisy neighbor), but the staff moved us to a great room without any hassles. The food was excellent and the staff were all incredibly friendly. I was impressed that they even staffed the hotel with additional English speakers during the World Cup. Very thoughtful. No complaints, this place was paradise.
They need to fix the driveway from the hotel to the main road. It was horrible! But not having a rental car, it was no problem for us.
People and food
They were very helpful, beautiful resort, four great pools, the hotel hired an interpreter for non-Portuguese speaking guests, they helped with travel to/from Porto de Galinhas, Recife, and the airport. The food was good, the entertainment was provided nearly every night, the beach is beautiful, and an overall great resort. All the rooms have hammocks and the end rooms have a wrap around balcony.
These are not things I did not like, just things to be aware of: you are an hour walk from Porto de Galinhas (we liked being that far away as the beach was not crowded with peddlers), the water has strong currents but you can still go swimming or surfing. Everything else is fantastic.
Beautiful resort with great staff. Excellent food.
No gym on facilities. Poor wifi connection which was not free. Wifi should be included with stay.
Pools, Ocean. Manager helped us when our room was unacceptable.
Staff did not speak English, rooms are subpar, ants and bugs, shower head is corroded, bed is not comfortable at all, food/buffet is marginable at best.
Common areas-lobby, pool, beach are good
Food quality fair Food preparation fair Service fair to poor Customer service fair Room quality fair to poor Room maid service was unpredictable
The pool was amazing to hang out at! This was a great place to go and relax.
It was quite far from Recife. Otherwise, great little place to get away!
garden and s pool
location excellent - staff
under the shower you were electrified when using the handles to adjust temperature - not just a no go - dangerous
breakfast, entertainment, private beach, staff, very good environment.
bedroom could be better
Amazing beach, great location. My only complaint is that the Resort needs furniture updates in the pool, beach areas to go with the beautiful and well kept landscape. All employees were friendly and very helpful. Specially Marcelo.
AC in my friend's bedroom didn't work well and there were tiny ants on the wall behind the bed. Tip: Pull bed away from wall and lift bed skirt from touching floors, in case they haven't got rid of ant problems. No ants on my friends room though.
Great location on the beach, lots of pool space and clean facilities, helpful staff - front desk spoke English very well, 10 minutes from town, buffet was varied and good quality, easy to organize transportation/taxis, spacious villa for family of 4 with views of beach - fabulous!
No playground although their website claimed they had one, a bit isolated on the coast, but you do not really need to be in town at all.
The staff was great. They went out of their way to help us with anything we requested. They spoke english (we didn't speak any portuguese) and were very friendly as well.
Food was extremely mediocre (worst we had our entire month in Brazil) and most other restaurants aren't convenient to walk to. Other than breakfast, which was included, we only ate here once. Internet is spotty, at best, but we were told they are doing the best they can with what is available currently. Rooms are ok, but very basic, considering the price charged.
We took a bungalow room which was right by the beach with fantastic views. Food ordered off the menu was very good (but buffet was not). Reception staff very helpful.
In all the other places we stayed along the beach, you tell a guy where you want your umbrella and he puts it in the sand for you. At this place they are all fixed in concrete in a tiny cramped area. This is absolutely ridiculous!!
Every night there was a different activity for the guests in the hotel. Very nice coffe break. Clean rooms.
The sea in front of the hotel is dangerous. I prefer the calm waters of Muro Alto (a beach in Porto de Galinhas).
The location, the breakfast
The reception and the beach were nice.
Staff speaks no english, rooms are dearty and old. We changes the room and they offered us about 4 different rooms but they all locked had the same bad l
The pools were wonderful, easy access to the beach and beautiful environment. Breakfast was amazing, lunch and dinner not expensive (if you are paying in dollars, I believe for brazilians it was a bit too much). We also enjoyed the live music in the afternoons. The hammocks in the garden were our favorite part, very nice to relax.
The staff looked tired and demotivated, room was a bit old, balcony windows were hard to open. There was no information about room services, like a menu or laundry prices, we had to call reception for everything. There are no lifts to the rooms, so if you have a problem with stairs, be sure to ask for a room on the ground floor. I was pregnant at the time and had a toddler with me, they knew about it as I asked for a cot at the booking, but still was put on the 3rd floor :-(
