Score from 310 reviews Excellent
I enjoyed myself, it was a convient location, the breakfest was great and the scenary was amazing. The hotel speaks perfect english. When I was staying there some bazillian music artist was staying at the hotel as well, even my flight crew. This is a popular hotel. The bike station is behind the hotel, so you can rent a bike and tour cococabana.
The staff were friendly, helping attitude and accommodative.
I didn't like the sight seeing tour organized by consiergee. The guide was busy to look for her individual need. She was suggesting at the end of the tour lo leave cable car area individually if they like to.
quase tudo é bom
o bar interior não é acolhedor
Hated the no visitors in room policy. I was ill the first day and two of my family members were refused access to me in my room until we made a big fuss to the management. My daughter and her husband were pretty mortified at being stopped by security and it left a very bad taste in their mouths, despite the manager's later exception to the policy.
The fantastic barman who made us a cocktail and apologised for Vladamir's behaviour.
Vladamir at front desk was incredibly rude to my friend and in the afternoon shortly before late check out. He is a disgrace to Windsor Hotels. He insulted us both and his behaviour was even witnessed by other guests who told us they were shocked. The manager did not appear, even after this was requested.
Everything- location, room, facilities and friendly staff. Excellent value for money
Hotel should offer guests a free shuttle service to and from the airport
the hotel is excellent, very nice comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast, perfect location. the pool on the roof is quite small but the view and the bar are very good. the pool at 4th floor is large and nice. we arrive at 7 am but the guy at the reception was able to give us a room, all the staff is very cooperative and professional. I recommend this hotel not only for the location which is perfect but for the high standard of structure and staff
nothing to remark
Great Hotel Great Location Awesome Views Amazing Breakfast Spread Wifi worked brilliantly Concierge Desk very helpful, made bookings for us at great Restaurants
our Room was supposed to be ready at 2pm but only got it 5pm after we got hotel manager involved, No compensation or apology offered. I do accept that that had to do with all the guests checking out the day after the world cup though
Location is fantastic: beachfront, in the best area of Copacabana. Rooms are spacious, very silent, and very clean. Rooftop bar, gym and Spa looked great too (I was there for business and didn't have time to use them, so I cannot give any comment on the quality of services there). Extremely good security service inside all area of the hotel. Concierge was very kind and available. Breakfast is amazing, both for the variety and the quality of food...and for the view on the beach.
I would say nothing... I just do not particularly appreciate any "snob" atmosphere, and at times I felt a little bit of that.
The bed was huge and so comfortable, there was a great beach service and the italian restaurant on the lobby level was delicious! Absolutely stunning view of copacabana from rooftop pool AND bedroom window!
No iron in room, busy check in/out lines.
Room and location were great. Breakfast and dinner buffet was wonderful. Some staff were very nice.
Not enough drawers in room. Would be nice to have ironing board and iron in room. Dining room very cold at night. Chicken was tough and flavourless. Some staff were very rude and elitist, making us feel unwelcome.
location is perfect, facilities, comfort and all are excellent, breakfast very nice++, the view fantastic! at check in i asked the room with ocean view and they gave me a room with wonderful view over the ocean and copacabana. definitely would recommend this hotel to everyone going to rio, imo the best hotel on copacabana
the cleaning staff is fine, but the staff at the reception could be friendlier and more helpful
The hotel had a room for us at 10am even though the check-in wasn't until 3pm. And the room was on the 25th floor with full sea view, which was an upgrade from our reservation. On the day of our departure we were allowed to stay till 3pm free of charge.
The hotel was good. It's got great views and perfectly located. Clean and well run. But you pay for it and as a large hotel lacks some of the personal service of smaller places. When you combine this with terms and conditions of booking.com (see what I didn't like) it means you need to check in here with your eyes open.
The night before check in I noticed the price of my room on booking.com was £180 cheaper. As I was travelling I did not have time to get in contact with booking.com but did mention prior to check in. However, booking.com have small print in their terms and for the price guarantee to work I should have approached them prior to checking in. So warning if you want the best price and to trust booking.com guarantee keep an eye on the price online. If it's cheaper and not within the cancellation period contact booking.com before checking in - even if the cheaper price is for the same room on their own site. Booking.com were also pretty unflexible and not prepared to offer me anything despite booking through them 18 times in the last two years. The hotel also marked the funds and took them from my bank account on checking in, took payment and didn't release the funds or clear them when checking out. Causing me to go overdrawn. So you need to keep your eyes open with both the hotel and booking.com to get the best out of this hotel.
At check in the reception clerk was very efficient but not very friendly at all..when I had a few questions about facilities. Front desk should have friendly check in clerks .. It's the first interaction a visitor has with the hotel..
I was provided with a room upgrade on check-in due to the fact that I was celebrating my birthday. It was a wonderful room with Ocean View. Breakfast was rather awesome. Omelette Bar!!! Food quality in general very good. The hotel is immaculately clean. Security is epic. The hotel is extremely safe. There is CCTV everywhere. The staff are professional & friendly. I appreciated the way they treated me. The roof pool and bar are cool. The Spa facilities are very nice, though under utilised. The gym is cool also. I dig this hotel.
I hate to say anything negative but this is very important. 1) If you have guests, they are 'not allowed' in hotel rooms (hotel safety policy). 2) When dining in the Italian, be advised that anything that they bring to your table is charged for if you accept it (whether you asked for it or not). So be sure to say no thanks if you are brought something you did not order (and do not want it). The food is quite good (The gigantic Seabass was amazing). BUT it is seriously expensive. Michelin starish UK expensive. So not great value for money. Wealthy? you won't care. 3) The aircon can occasionally make a racket and you can hear the lifts swooshing up & down (if in relatively close proximity). 4) There really ought to be free WiFi. 5) The cable channels were rather drrry.
The first room given was smaller than what we had had previously, without booking through booking.com. However, since the room had a problem with the bathroom we were given a different room which was much nicer. Overall a very nice stay! Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, beach equipment available, nice location.
Great location, superb views, efficient, friendly and unobtrusive staff. I would definitely stay again if I'm fortunate enough to pay a return visit to the city.
LOCATION WAS NOT THE BEST
Concierge was a great help - booking tours, arranging transportation to cruise ship, answering our questions, etc. Room was so comfortable. Breakfast was really nice. Front desk staff was organized and friendly. Lots of restaurants close by - great location for walking.
Can't think of anything.
location was excellent... Views stunning... Very safe with security... Great showers... Fantastic buffet breakfast!! Really enjoyed ourselves..
It's not cheap but after visiting , you get what you pay for!!
Location, views and size of the suite
Prices in Rio are Surreal!
Staff were incredibly helpful, nice and efficient; especially in a place where customer service seems not to be a primary concern of the service industry, they really stood out. From checking in, to concierge, to room service, to front desk, to bellboys, to beach towel and shade service, A++ all around.
As other visitors have warned, the WiFi connection here is absolutely awful in the rooms. It's fair (at best) in common areas, but connections are often lost when using mobile devices. If you need a good internet connection, this is not the place to go.
