With an unbeatable location on trendy Copacabana Beach, the 4-star Olinda Rio Hotel features a classic style since its opening. It offers a fine French restaurant and stunning ocean views.

Right next to Copacabana Beach, this modern hotel offers a panoramic rooftop pool and ocean views from most rooms. Gym, sauna and a fine restaurant are its highlights.
Score from 473 reviews Excellent 8.6/10
The location of the hotel is excellent and the reception staff are extremely helpful.
I got a dark room with almost no natural light. The view wall on the other side. The food on the restaurant was barely edible.
Really great location with wonderful views of the Copacabana beach and it's almost next to the Copacabana Palace Hotel and that can't be bad.
Everything was good - it's a 4 star not a 5 star.
very central, walking distance from many things. very clean and comfortable, superb breakfast, staff at front desk very helpful and spoke good english.
Location Reception was usually very busy but were always helpful Car to airport Housekeeping Comfortable rooms Rooftop pool with great views
World Cup Pricing Restaurant waiters were slow and ignored us

Friendliness & helpfulness of the staff no just at the front desk but also at the restaurant & bar. Cleaning staff are also very courteous and helpful. Conveniently located on the Copacabana Beach boulevard and walking distance to the FIFA Fan Fest site and souvenir shop. Excellent breakfast buffet. Offered a wide spread of hot and cold breakfast selection. Walking distance to the Metro and the very good Brasilian BBQ place Carretao. We will stat at this hotel again the next time we visit Rio de Janeiro.
Internet service was slow and we have to pay for each smart phone and iPad. Safe in the room didn't work and maintainance guy who was supposed to come to check didn't show up.
Location Clean room
Not letting in guests Overpriced by double Internet wifi slow and dropping out
Staff were excellent, and the beds are brilliant.
Copacabana is a terrible area. Stay in ipanema instead. The pay-every-day-for-wifi option is a joke. A total joke.. especially in this day and age. And limit of one device is appalling.
Good Spread of Breakfast, especially juices and fruits!
No free Internet
Clean and international standard room condition. Welcome message
I could not control air conditioner in remote
Very expensive compared to other hotels with better facilities. Poor facilities and Internet picture does not reflect true picture of pool No balcony
Pool and bar on roof is terrific. Breakfast was excellent. We got upgraded to beach facing room.
Safe, beach location. Close to many restaurants and beach bars. Views from the hotel room of Copacabana Beach and Christ of the Andes Statue. Get used to very large (and flavoursome) food dishes they do not seem to know the word small. Highly recommended.
Noisy, smelly room with laundry room view was provided to me. I don't know how this hotel got a score above 8.
The hotel is clean and also the room.
The staff is slow only quick if you do something they do not like......
Very nice roof top area with a great view of entire Copacabana, Corcovado and Sugarloaf. Breakfast was excellent with great variety of bread, cheese, fruits, yoghurts, eggs etc. the staff was very friendly, you can also book private tours at the reception and they organize you the guide. The room was big, good shower, safe and very handy laundry service where you get your laundry back in the same day (little pricey though).
Interior of room is ok, nothing very nice, but handy and comfortable. Did not have a beach view, but a quiet room.
Very nice location, excellent value and helpfull staff
Amazingly helpful staff, great location, felt safe
friendly, courteous staff excellent roof top bar and pool brilliant location large comfortable rooms
windows didnt open so reliant upon AC furniture and decor a bit heavy
staff buffet breakfast
small room no complimentary water when told water not suitable for brushing teeth
Location was nice. Staff also very friendly and spoke good English. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice.
The AC in my room (1018) just wasn't good enough. The room was always too warm. Beds and pillows were also very uncomfortable
Loved everything about the hotel ! Extremely friendly staff, be it at the reception (where they spoke fluent english which is rare in Brazil), the rooftop bar, the dining room and also the housekeeping, could not find more friendly and helpful ! Room (on 6th floor) is not big but was perfectly clean and had everything needed (2 comfortable beds, minibar, big flatscreen tv, wifi worked flawlessly as did the airco, a little round table with 2 chairs next to the window with an absolutely amazing view of Copacabana beach. The bathroom is also small but clean and functional, well equipped with hairdryer and extensive toiletries. The rooftop bar had also an amazing view, Cristo redentor on one side and Copacabana beach on the other, pool is small but certainly enough to cool down and swim a couple of strokes, deck chairs and tables with seats, my son and I had a really good lunch there. Fitness room is also on rooftop and well equipped (according to my son), too bad it's in a room without windows so there is no view. Breakfast was the best we've had in 1 month in Brazil ! 7 different kinds of fresh fruit juices (try the avocado, scrumptious), eggs (cooked in different ways), crispy bacon, smoked salmon, chicken nuggets, different hams and cheeses, soup, all the pastries and scones you can imagine, pancakes, cereals, yogurt….and I'm probably forgetting some ! My only "complain" (but this was everywhere in Brazil) is the tea, only 1 option and it's the brazilian brand :-/ What else can I say, I don't really understand what others complain about, yes, wifi is charged but at least it works well (compared to some other hotels we were at where it was free but so slow and dysfunctional that it would take hours to get anything done). Yes the price is high even compared to major european cities but this is the price in Rio and this is on Copacabana beach.
The price (as everywhere in Brazil and especially in Rio). Only being able to afford 1 night and having to leave !
The location, the nice staff, the delicious morning buffet.
-They charge about 29 reis far internet per device. I have seen sometimes charging for the internet connection, but for one room. This was sooo petty, and expensive. We had 2 phones, and 2 laptops. So we did with only one phone and it was unpleasant. - i hate to be caricatural, but i think these rooms are conceived by men, for men. no hand-shower,only one very high place to hang the towels, barber sets, but no body lotion.. Very high shelves, and not enough. No lamps on the nightstand! so the lightning, from the ceiling, was gloomy. And made you look ugly. Facing the beach, the light should have been beautiful. but the windows were heavily dark tinted. Again, gloomy, gloomy... and of course, not a single picture on the walls. it was a little like a hospital. same thing on the rooftop terrace at night. no festive lights, as welcoming as a airport cafeteria.
The comfort and helpful staff
Private car service a little expensive
Right at the beach, perfect place and great breakfast!
A little bit too expensive but according to the Carnival prices
