Indeed a lot of stairs. If you need help, you can ring and one of the employees will help you carry the luggage to your room.
It is far away from the city center. Bus stop is 3 min away. They stop running at 7 pm. If you stay late in the center, be ready to pay 35$ for a taxi.
Buses (10 and 12b) run once in 15-30 min. Cost is 1.5$.
During the first day was difficult to find a good beach nearby. We examined several places (Sandyport free beach, cable beach (difficult to find a public access, almost all the shore is occupied by the hotels), melia beach (35$ per day) before found a piece of heaven in 20 min walking distance. It is called Nirvana beach. The place is lovely, it has a bar with not expensive food and drinks and free beach chairs. The water is clean and there are almost no waives and stones. Not crowded at all.
No pedestrian areas! Whenever you go, you have to go on the edge of the road with cars driving very fast nearby. Was a bit uncomfortable.
Heard a lot of positive reviews about Traveller`s restaurant. It is closed.
The hotel is very clean, modern and quite. Some rooms have a terrace with ocean view. The terrace is shared between two rooms but it is very large and has chairs and a couch. To be honest, never came across our neighbours there. The swimming pool is small, never saw anyone taking advantage of it.
Staff and the owner were very friendly, polite and helpful.
Breakfast was ok - yogurts, grape, apples, cereals, cookies (very tasty!) and hot meal on demand (omlet, sausages, toasts).
Several nice restaurants in 5 min walking distance - Compass point and Aquafire. Both are a bit overprices but with tasty food and big portions. Be ready to spend 100-170$ for a dinner for two (incl tax and tips).
Close to the airport. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport (10$).
