This island hotel and marina, in Freeport, Bahamas, is just 200 yards from Taino Beach and the Caribbean Sea. It offers free Wi-Fi access and bright rooms with cable TV. All guests have free access to the facilities at Flamingo Bay’s sister hotel, Taino Beach Resorts. Facilities include a large outdoor pool with a waterslide, lazy river and a swim up bar. The oceanfront restaurant is also open to guests. Each room has kitchen facilities which include a microwave, small fridge, toaster and dishware. They are decorated in soft cool colors and have tile floors. Flamingo Bay Hotel & Marina offers laundry facilities and a gift shop on site. Friendly Staff and locals good place to rest The entire hotel is in need of a renovation it was clean but tired looking , things falling off the walls in the shower and drain plugged .

This hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport by taxi. When you stay at this hotel you can make use of all the Taino facilities as well. The beautiful beach is at 5 minutes walking distance. Besides there is a very nice and big swimming pool and a hot tub. There are enough chairs at the beach and at the swimming pool. There is a watertaxi which brings you in 5 minutes to the shopping center of Grand Bahama's. The room is simple. There is not much light (one light was broken) and the bathroom is small but clean. There is no elevator to go to the second floor. Flamingo is a decent place to stay, because anyway the beach and the swimming pool are most important. If you want a luxurious room, don't stay at this hotel. The staff is helpful when there are problems but with a specific Bahamian attitude: "no worries" no elevator poor lights in the room small bathroom

Beliggenheden på Taino Beach er perfekt - omend vi boede ved kanalen - men det var helt ok. Bådruten til Lucayan var perfekt og meget benyttet. Belysningen i værelset var minimal - vi bad om en ekstra lampe - men fik ikke nogen. . Personalet var søde og smilende - omend de "glemte" at vække os den morgen vi skulle rejse - men vi nåede det selv !

Great hotel, adjacent to bigger 5 star resort and you get to use the same pools & private beach. The rooms are not in perfect condition but that's the standard in Bahamas and the staff is very friendly. Would surely come back again! Room furnishings could be better (E.G. wall paint).
