|Located in Nassau, La Paloma Guest House offers a spacious terrace, free WiFi access and free private parking.|
convenient and affordable. Very clean.
very poor decor. Outdated. Tatty. A bit depressing.Could easily have been brightened up simply in line with modern hostel accommodation. A more attractive ambiance would attract far more people, I'm sure. Hence, a wasted opportunity for business.
Friendly personal, old but clean rooms, free coffee at the lobby, an old almost antique elevator, great view from the 4th floor on the port with huge ships.
Wi-Fi works only at the lobby. The bad was covered by the oilcloth, but we took it off. The shower is not very good. But nevertheless it was a ice place for such money.
The location and price were the best. Walking distance to just about all the sights.
It needs a renovation and update. The staff were very nice.
Its really in the centre of Nassau. The staff its very helpful and so kind. The room is ok for 1 or 2 nights.
The wifi was not working
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room attendant ensured I am comfortable...asking and offering room service very regularly.
Free parking after 5:00 p.m. only.
Very bed condition. Not clean. We can't open window. Aircondition was weak and noisy
Central both to town and ferry
As a hotelier myself I always advise fellow-hoteliers they never have a 2nd chance to make a good 1st impression. I advise customers not to expect global brand quality for motel prices. At nassau rates this is a convenient motel- a little run-down and its guard-key entrance system a bit off-putting but it was reasonable at nassau rates.
Perfect location, downtown in between paradise island and cable beach. Great value for money.
Beds are bad.
It was in a good location, the staff was wonderful, the WiFi connection in the lobby was great. In the context of the Bahamas, it's a great deal for the price.
But it was a lower-end place and there was a series of issues (bed was uncomfortable, room was dingy and had a funny smell, shower water pressure was dismal). Then again, you're in the Bahamas and it's hard not to be chill!
location was excellent
clean once every two days....furnitures and fixtures old out dated....
The room is terrible. I do not even want to talk about te bathroom. Sticky floor. Horrible bed. I had to sleep with a towel on the pillow. Very noisy. Wifi didn t work at the "lobby". I had a second reservation for the night before our flight back home and I cancelled it because it is definitely not worth the $125 that I was about to pay for that one night there. Nice staff but terrible place.
The location is super convenient! Points of attractions of Nassau are just steps away and #10 bus stop is nearby which takes you to the Cable beach for just $1.25; if you wanna go to the Paradise Island, the ferry is just across the street, super near! They have a TV with many US and CA channels such as CNN, BCC, etc; It is a single room, not a dorm, even the cheapest room; They even have a balcony where you can enjoy the sunshine and watch the people on the street and even sunset; the staff were very welcoming; They have an elevator; They charged me a wrong amount of money but they refund the extra part to me without me even asking them to, which means they are honest.
The toilet did not work properly; The water outlet of shower sucked; Power outlet was dirty and old, but usable; remember the tax is 18% + $3 per day, do the math correctly for yourself; wifi is only available near the front desk, but the speed was OK and they got chairs so you can sit there.
Nothing I was a horrible experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I care about. I should have been refunded.
There was nothing to like.
The location was 1 block from everything!!!!!It was right next to the cruise port and all the tourist attractions. And no hotel can beat the price.
Gosh, where do I start! The room is dirty. I came into the room and the bed was clean but everything was terrible. Their were a pack of maxi pads and food wrappers on the night table. I saw a few cockaroaches on the wall next to the headboard. That freaked me out. I have stayed in some dirty hotels but I draw the line at cockaroaches. I slept in my jeans, shoes and jacket because I was scared of being bitten. I didn't even take a shower because I was scared of what would come out of the faucet. Secondly, the area around the hotel is cool but everything closes at 5pm!!! Even the restaurants. The only thing open was McDonalds. Yuck!
I recommend this hotel. This is located directly in the downtown. If you want to go to the beach you an use public buses...only few minutes with it the all beaches...but you have to walk from the stop 1km to the Atlantis public beach. Staff fantastic
It's tough to beat $80 a night. I only selected this because I had an overnight layover and I didn't feel like spending the night at the airport. So in that sense, I just wanted a bed comforters and a pillow. But don't expect much more than this at this price level.
Bathroom could have been cleaner, but it wasn't awawful and you get what you pay for.
The staff were nice.
Everything...there were holes in the bed covers, the bed sheets were stained, tiles missing from the shower, carpet dirty, elevator was out of service, noisy and expensive for how bad the room was!! I do not reccomend hotel to anyone.
The location is great, right downtown. Close to the main restaurants and shops, as well as public transportation. The hotel is very basic but comfortable and clean. Perfect if you are going to spend the day out and just come back to the hotel for taking a shower and sleep over.
AC works fine but it is a bit loud. There is only WIFI signal in the reception hall and it is pretty unestable and slow. The network was open when we stayed and no password was needed to connect.
The location was great, few steps to take the ferry to paradise island, we didn't have to pay for taxi, everything was within walking distance so we saved a lot of money which we used to enjoy a day in Atlantis. ..totally worth it! Location location location! !! Our room was with clean linens and towels everyday, staff was nice too.
Little old building
i like the location, our room had a balcony and was fairly clean, fresh paint, the maid service was pretty good and had no problems with the bathroom. the hotel is close to everything, in downtown nassau, about 10 minutes from the closest beach if you were to walk. the hotel staff was very friendly. this is definitely a budget hotel but if you are going with plans of being outside all day it works just fine. the room was quiet and the air conditioner worked great, we got plenty of good sleep.
i read several other reviews online and the one thing that popped up several times was the linen was either old or stained. so i brought my own. no complaints really, nassau can be expensive and spending less money on the hotel and more out around the town was just fine with me.
The AC worked
EVERYTHING The Hotel was dirts and a fire trap. The electrical wiring was not to code. The facility had a smell. The lobby area was frequented by vagrants and drug users. The Lobby consisted of two chairs and was the only location with WIFI. The staff was not helpful at all. Although the night person deliverd a wake up call on time. Nothing to eat after hours Towels were dirty. No Hot water The Biggest issue was: THE HOTEL CHARGED ME $40 MORE THAN STATED FROM MY ONLINE RESERVATION AND WOULD NOT HONOR THE ONLINE PRiCE.
Staff had an attitude when checking in
Location and friendliness of staff. Centrally located in downtown Nassau with plenty of restaurants and shops located within a mile. Short walk to Dunkin Donuts, Senior Frogs, McDonalds.
Overall, not the cleanest facility, but you're not going to spend much time in your room while you're in Nassau so it's not crippling.
I liked the onsite food, which was good, the Owners were very kind and gracious,my Wife loved the Pool! And they Catered to our needs!
Pretty much nothing!
