The structure is quite nice and the beach magnificent.
The staff is generally unkind, not helpful and very slow. It takes at least 1½ hours for a burger at lunch. The room cleaning is done only once a week, on Wednesdays. The other days you have to ask for clean towels and toilet paper. It is generally very quiet but with a dull atmosphere.
We had to wait 1 hour in the freezing lobby to check-in because they said they couldn't find our booking.com reservation!! We asked for at least a drink but they didn't want to offer us anything, saying that it was "booking.com" fault, not their! Then they gave us a room on the other side of the road (far from the sea). They call it "villa", but it's apartment. At the check-out they asked us to pay almost the double of what we had on our reservation confirmation, because they didn't want to take into account the "online price" !!!!
The beach is absolutely beautiful. Please make your way down to Bernie's, which is a little food shack at the end of the beach (make a left as you face the water and walk 500 ft). Bernies was exactly the Bahamian food experience I was looking for....great owners, bare bones facilities, only fresh seafood located on a pristine beach.
wifi is more than frustrating. Staff is inattentive and will say what it takes to make you go away.
The property is on a beautiful beach
The property needs serious updating. Old furniture, cabinets tub enclosure dull/moldy tub valve handle and really unappealing to want to use it. Internet access should be free at these hotel prices. It felt like the dark ages. Make sure you keep all your exterior and interior light bulbs replaced on the buildings and in units: appearance matters.
There was a private beach which only the resort guests could use. It was quiet and very relaxing
The shuttle bus only went to the grocery store once a week on a Monday. However there was a conveneince store at the resort
Close to the beach, good food, very helpful staff, big room.
The pool was closed during our stay.
Ocean view from the room and small balcony. The staff were entertaining and made us comfortable. It is a timeshare property, so we did the 90 minute tour which compensated us very well - breakfast, snorkeling and kayaking. The food on site was also good. There are a few places withing walking distance to eat and party. A van took us to the marketplace where there are plenty of places to eat, shop, and drink. Made lots of friends and can't wait to get back!!
Drinks are expensive everywhere you go.
Shuttle into Port Lucaya several times a day, excellent food in restaurant, relaxing atmosphere
Being hassled from timeshare sellers on roads and beaches near resort.
Beautiful beach, spacious rooms, nice grounds, overall very nice resort.
Food in restaurant, if you decide to get free wifi and gifts in exchange for listening to a timeshare presentation that is supposed to take 90 minutes beware that it took 3 hours for us and that's when we told her that it took way too long!
Beautiful location, very clean and well maintained beach and grounds. Ideal for anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing beach vacation.
Not the spot to go if you have older children/teenagers, as there are no activities, unless you go off the resort and pay a lot of money.
beautiful beach just next to the resort very friendly staff own kitchen
pricey food and drinks limited means of transport
