This hotel is on Nassau’s Paradise Island, next to Paradise Island Golf Course. Just under half a mile from the beach, it features an outdoor pool and hot tub.
Score from 105 reviews Good
It's right on the ocean, beautiful location and nice, clean rooms.
Don't like the fact being stopped by security asking if I'm a guest at the hotel. Had he look on my wrist for my hotel band, he would've known. There's nothing wrong with security trying to keep the premises secured, but when you're a black person walking among other caucasian guests, I have to question why was I the only person stopped and questioned and not the white guests next to me. Also, the elevator was too far away from the rooms located on the northern side of the complex. It felt like a 20 minute walk.
The beach right outside. The surrounding area. The rooms were perfect.
The cost of the restaurants inside the hotel. Not enough selection of eateries. The wifi was not strong.
Decoration common area
Nice beach, great pools, excellent views of the ocean.
No free wifi in the rooms only in the lobby
Location of the hotel to the beach.
No microwave or small fridge. Not suitable for kids and babies no snack vending machine only ice machine is available.Far from fast food in case you decide to eat outside of the hotel.
lobby bar parking, valet and friendly bellman staff
no in room wifi at all common area wifi spotty at best bed horribly uncomfortable no room service at all after 11:pm dining room buffet staff very lazy missing amenities comparable to my $400/night rate fitness area very subpart for luxury resort hotel
Only The Location
No wifi, Pools were freezing cold, the Hotel is in severe need for an upgrade. simple items such as landscaping, broken pavers and overall maintenance. Won't stay there again. Melia should be ashamed!!!
Always a 1st pick when I'm in town!
..had trouble wit ABM before
Hot tubs didn't work and no one seemed to care after multiple complaints. Drinks were bad and expensive - outdoor coolers didn't work.
- the pool and private beach are very nice - snorkeling material is included
- got locked in the bathroom (apparently it didn't seem unusual to them to have this issue) - carpet in the corridor smells moldy - staff unpleasant (minimum info and direction, doesn't make you feel welcome, try to push you to eat in the hotel by giving no information on the places near by) - very noisy (can hear people in the corridor)
The toiletries were nice.
Everything! The worst value, food, decor, everything screamed the1980's. Reminded me of a Russian Gulag.
Pillow cases had blood stains on them. when I told the front desk about this they just shrugged and said that wasn't good. Hotel was also in chaos due to extensive renovations. Had dinner in one of the specialty restaurants which was not part of the all inclusive package. Portions were extremely small and overcooked.
quiet beach- not busy- relaxed atmosphere- buffet meals were excellent
main pool was dirty- needs to be cleaned a few times a day with all of the people using it long check in line
We were delighted to have been greeted daily by such a welcoming and friendly staff. Housekeeping is doing an amazing job!!
I realize it's a free service but if you are going to include it, you have to extend the reach. We were in room 688 and were not able to get internet. Event at the Breakfast level there was no reach. The only area was the lobby (sometimes) and the Starbucks area.
all inlcusive food was excellent quality in general and useful with a child, the staff did a great job at christmas with entertaining the kids
the pools were cold and needed to be cleaned more often. the new market place breakfast bar didn't have the friendliess staff in the mornings, and it was like an ice bucket going in there. I asked if they could turn the air conditioning down but they said it was cold to keep away germs, maybe though there was pools of condensation on the insides of the windows so that's how cold it was! You could sit outside but it was always dark and unpleasant the time we went.
No wifi in room Dirty towels Faulty faucet Insanely expensive food options Rude receptionist Resort fee B&W TV ( is this not 2015?)
The staff was very caring.Centrally Located between airport downtown and beach. overall Good.
Some rooms are far away from elevator.
Excellent location for my needs on the island. Free parking across the street.
There was no a la carte menus. Since we booked early the hotel had become all-inclusive. We ate out mostly. We were never able to get beach towels with our towel cards as the booth was issued a limited cart full of them. Once they ran out that was it. Our room was also not provided with sufficient towels as they explained that mostly workers from Baha mar stayed there. We were on the 2nd floor room 219.The hotel lacked evening entertainment proper. The main lobby had what appeared to be a cage like structure that was either meant to keep us out or protect the performer from the audience . WiFi was only accessible in the hot spot in the lobby area.
No internet in room; sporty in lobby. Not a suitable hotel for business travel.
Position close by Cable beach, restaurants and fast food at walk distance.
Wi fi is not in the rooms, it works just in the reception area with a undevelopped signal.
The location The courtesy and helpfulness of the staff The decor Starbucks tea
The section I was in was too cold. The cost and additional resort fee Additional breakfast menu should be available in the dining room. Elevator too far from rooms; additional elevator for guests need to be made available
I liked most of my experience at the Melia Hotel
The Wifi was horrible ---- is not a hotel for business travelers.
The restaurants were good, loved Starbucks right in the hotel
The bed is so uncomfortable. Our room was not made up until very late every day even after we were out all day. One day the room service arrived at 5 p.m. to clean the room. Didn't appreciate that at all and declined service. The room beside had very noisy guests, thin walls and you heard everything all night long.
Pool heater isn't on,no fridge inside the roon
