Position close by Cable beach, restaurants and fast food at walk distance.
Wi fi is not in the rooms, it works just in the reception area with a undevelopped signal.
The location The courtesy and helpfulness of the staff The decor Starbucks tea
The section I was in was too cold. The cost and additional resort fee Additional breakfast menu should be available in the dining room. Elevator too far from rooms; additional elevator for guests need to be made available
I liked most of my experience at the Melia Hotel
The Wifi was horrible ---- is not a hotel for business travelers.
The restaurants were good, loved Starbucks right in the hotel
The bed is so uncomfortable. Our room was not made up until very late every day even after we were out all day. One day the room service arrived at 5 p.m. to clean the room. Didn't appreciate that at all and declined service. The room beside had very noisy guests, thin walls and you heard everything all night long.
Pool heater isn't on,no fridge inside the roon
I love the fact it was right on the beach and it was quite calm environment. Breakfast buffet was great so was those bahama mamas.
The food options in the hotel wasn't all that great as far has the resturants. They was a bit pricey to. Also waited little longer then I would like for our drinks when we was on the beach.
The extra daily fees were disappointing and the food was average
The hotel was the Sheraton is now part of the Melia group. Still a lot of work going on. Large areas both inside and out are boarded up. Some areas still look very tired. Not all restaurants open. Food poor and expensive.
the rooms the staff the beach the food
really $19 for a hamburger with potato chips
Staff were very friendly and our room was very comfortable
There was a lot of re-construction work in progress with several on site facilities being closed but no mention of this on their web site. Also it was very noisy late at night.
The final staff person finally helped us. Beautiful beach.
Check in we found that there is a $45 resort fee. (small print I didn't see when booking) 1st room: Got paint on me from an enamel painted bed base. TV in next room loud! No insulation. 2nd room: Upgraded ocean view, no neighbors so nice but I wouldn't pay that much for that room. Restaurant ok. Buffet overpriced for a bbq. They are going through renovations so hopefully it will be better
Hallway noises echoed throughout. 1 elevator out, second level lobby construction blocked areas. Went to the Daq Shack for less expensive drinks.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beach/water/pools are absolutely beautiful! Hotel provides free access to kayaks, paddle boards, etc., and you can rent wave runners on the beach. You can schedule excursions such as snorkeling, fishing, parasailing and leave on a boat right from the beach at the hotel.
Needs more restaurants, snack bars, and Wi-Fi for the rooms.
A lot of work was occurring which impacted on the pool and garden facilities. I know this needs to happen but as we booked on line we had no idea this was happening.
Advertised to have WiFi in room. Didn't work. Wired access also didn't work. Was put at remote room because WiFi was supposed to work there. Was only more inconvenient and still no Internet and i was there to work and had to work in lobby and outside and connection still kept dropping.
Comfortable beds and nice room. Nice beach. Friendly staff.
You are unable to eat at the outside pool restaurant because as soon as your food arrives you are surrounded by loads of flies landing on your food it's disgusting! When we noticed this happen to a couple sitting next to us we just left. We tried to have the buffet lunch inside only to be told there was a private function on so we left the hotel and ate elsewhere. We did have the buffet meal one evening it's very overpriced for the quality of food they serve, I didn't enjoy it at all. Tried breakfast buffet and was just the same. Renovation work going on it didn't really bother us. We had to check out at 11am however our flight was 10pm I asked at reception if there was a room we could use to shower after being at the beach all day, we were told no that was not their policy. I have been all over the world and have never experienced that before. The pool bar is meant to close at 11pm however on our last night we went to bed at about 12.45 the music was very loud, my husband phoned reception to complain they never did anything about it the music was still going on very loud at 2.30am. I just get the impression that once the Melia get your money they're not interested in their guests! Also we booked and paid majestic tours to pick us up from the airport and collect us again however they didn't turn up at 7.30 as they were meant to so we waited until 7.50 and just got a taxi. We would not ever return to the Melia again!
Liked the location, friendly staff, good food and nice room.
The hotel air conditioning in the restaurants and main areas too cold for me
every things is run down the magnetic keys stop working twice a day minimum and you have no choice other than to go back to the front desk witch is far from too many rooms. 40 dollars a day for the resort fee is exaggerated .no we did not have what we were aspecting.so many things that i do not even remember. no way we will come back again
Our room was comfortable and the staff were friendly.
The food was poor.
Excellent hotel and very friendly and helpful staff.
The Wifi in the room is poor.
The location is very nice. Beautiful views. However currently loud due to construction. The front desk staff were very honest, professional and friendly, so was the housekeeping staff (they do their best to make sure you enjoy your room and receive all amenities even outside of their realm of responsibility - to give you 5 star vacation). They really tried to accommodate for management's disinterest. Guest Experience Manager took feedback and gave information of future qualities.
Management did not work well with satisfying guests in having a pleasant stay, front desk management never answered calls. No WiFi, no internet cable available in some rooms, runaround with connectivity issues, too many room changes due to high demand and lack of king size beds. VIP Level Management staff has no idea how to speak to guests. Could offer more entertainment. Poorly seasoned food, lack of restaurant variety, a major decline after staying at the previous resorts for over ten years.
Good value for the location.
Wifi was not available in room. Both beds in the room sank. It appears to be old and needs to be changed. Room is not sound proof, you can hear everything going on in the hallway.
Paid additional for pool view and pool had no water!!!! Not much of a pool view in my book!
The beach is lovely - the staff on the beach and in the restaurant were friendly and efficient.
Renovations are noisy, despite being reassure on telephone a week previously that they wouldn't be disturbing We had to move from the first room they gave us due to extreme drilli g at 8pm at night. No staff came to move us so we had to move to another room ourselves. We were not very impressed with reception staff On booking.com a total price appears but we were very upset when we had to,pay another $40 per night as a resort tax
Amazing location and the beach is breathtaking. They have a Starbucks inside and even a little supermarket. Very well located to reach Nassau downtown easily by a jitney(number 10). Staff are great and friendly.
Because they were going through some renovations to be integrated into the Bahamar resort group they held back a lot in entertainment so it lacked a little bit of fun.
