Staff were wonderful and helpful. Beautiful mature landscaping allowed for plenty of privacy.
Could use some new mattresses.
The staff went out of their way to be accommodating. If you want busy, beach front book somewhere else. If you want canal water front with endless tranquility. Book here.
Quiet, relaxing and comfortable.
This was an amazing vacation... I can't stop telling my friends and family. Truly an amazing and magical place..
Good location, Bahamian atmosphere scenic
old balcony room was dusty
It's 4 minutes walk to Lucaya's Market , where is all the life of the island, you find the tour operator, full of bars and restaurants. 6 minutes crossing the main street you have an access to Lucaya beach that is beautiful (the tide makes it impossible to be in the afternoon, so plan going in the morning). The hotel has 2 pools and a hot tub; provides a boat that takes you to Taino beach, a small, private beach , and you can use the facilities of the Tainother resort that is just in the beach.
In general the island is not clean at all, but the rooms are very dirty, the floor full of dust and the terrace looks like it has been not cleaned in months...
The staff was friendly and accommodate In general they value the customer needs
Great location. Wonderful employees.
To charge for internet in todays global economy is just unheard of.$159 plus your taxes in off season was a bit much.
Location is good near to the shopping area and reaturants the price is very reasonable we paid around £72.00 a night inc breakfast for two adults and 2 kids. We got an upgrade on chexking in to a suite which was roomy
The room was full of Mosquitos the lamps didn't work lock on back door didn't work. Safe was broken ! Room very dated and not as clean as I would expect or liked. But I put it down to being in the carabbien (They did change out room from the ground to the third floor which was much better ) 350 great views
Room was spacious and well appointed, the relaxed atmosphere was welcoming after a long day of flying!!
Great location. Hotel was great.
Expensif internet at hotel.
The position and the structure as a whole are perfect
But the room was so dirty and I don't like it
Convenient, good location
overpriced, expensive internet connection with ridiculous need to pay for every single device connecting - this is a rip-off and a shame. A pair having a laptop, tablet and a smartphone each would pay more for internet than a hotel room itself. Terrace door secured with wooden stick due to non-functioning lock.
Very quiet. Great location and beautiful water views of the channel. The suites are very nicely decorated. We really enjoyed the nespresso machine and had breakfast on the balcony in the morning. Very private.
That our room faced the more quiet of the 3 pools. The mini fridge in the room was nice and both the grounds of the hotel and the free shuttle(water taxi) to the beach were both relaxing and enjoyable.
I know that the old standard of "you get what you pay for".... But even at a discounted rate - I expect a room to be CLEAN and I expect non working light bulbs to be changed (especially when asked for this). Pelican bay is a nice place - we had a great vacation - but I wouldn't go back or recommend it
Sapor pool bar & restaurant were excellent. Food was great. Room had a great view of the harbor. Staff was wonderful.
There really wasn't anything to like ...
the receptionist was un interested and brusque ... the room was dirty , the bathroom had stains on that had been there for some time which we cleaned and in general it was tired and dingy. If this is supposed to be a premium hotel it's no wonder people don't return to visit the island . Real shame as we love the island and it needs a boost - but people should get premium product for a premium price - dreadful
Services and food.
Excellent location in Freeport, Grand Bahama close to Lucaya Marketplace with lots of bars and restaurants. Proximity to a beautiful white beach - Taino Beach - thanks to a free water taxi from hotel pier. Good value for money.
WIFI could be included in the price of the room.
