Very impressed - the beach is near the the room. with a young child this what we needed. We din't leave the resort at all. For a quick christmas break very good value for money. do again yes. Blue water sea, clean swim pool. No people hassling on the beach. HBO on the TV. Manage to get 20mb Wifi
Getting there, we went by ferry, 6 hours of waiting around for no reason. Ah i remember the boat has to reverse to the jetty to get you cases off. the bus was very old. It remind me of back packing. Seen better days. Check in was long.
Beach, pool, and lower staff very nice
Pushy timeshare people, pushy sales for excursions, loud music at pool, terrible local beer is only selection, News Years DJ playing terrible fowl language songs till 1:00 Am outside making the walls shake, could have turned it down after midnight. Kids at resort listening to fowl cuss filled songs. We did dolphins in the early AM stayed up till 12:00 for new years and tried to sleep for golf the next morning and had no shot. GM has not a clue. Food was maybe a 6 out of 10. Its all the same ever day. Much better all inclusive resorts around marketplace. This place is too far out so your somewhat stuck.
We felt that all inclusive services of this hotel is fantastic.
Beautiful beach and attractive property. Friendly staff. Overall a nice place.
The food is not very good. Far from town and taxis are not cheap.
The resort offered many good features, however the one disappointment was the food.
The food standard was mediocre, except the New Years feast that the put on.
My four-year-old daughter loved the trapeze and the boat ride on the beach. The dance and comedy shows were very entertaining.
The water in the shower switched from hot to cold water in one minute intervals. We did not have air conditioning in the room for the first two nights of the stay. On the third night, my husband spent the entire last day of our trip requesting that guest services fix the air conditioning in our room. Finally, staff agreed to switch our room that evening. The air conditioning actually worked in the third room we transferred to.
Staff, Beach location/privacy, Pool area...all awesome!!!
Because they are so far out they really need a courtesy shuttle to and from the airport.
Lots of fun. Great price. The location has been remodeled recently. Assortment of watersports and activities. Young, fun staff. I totally recommend this hotel. I'll love to come back.
It was a beautiful atmosphere, drinks were great & came with the all inclusive which was amazing! The food was decent, but the bohemian food night was excellent! ! The ocean was gorgeous and the activities were so much fun! The staff was personable and entertaining! It was a really great stay and I recommend this place to anyone!
Some of the food on certain evenings want the best. .. But by not having to leave the resort it was fine. All inclusive is the way to go!!!
Viva's location is well suited and close to most attractions outside the resort. They have a variety of reefs off their beachside that offer interesting views of coral and sea life to snorklers. Dive Shop staff and one staffer in the dining hall were excellent!
99.9% of staff have zero customer service and frequently treat customers as though they are interruptions to their day. With the exception of air condition in the room, the room was dirty and daily serivce was minimal. When power went out, we had no air condition for hours. Room smoke detector was missing a battery, took 24 hours and much complaining to get one. Extinguisher missing from outside room hall. No air conditioning in any common areas, registration lobby, dining hall, bar/lounge, game room. You will sweat! Car rental on sight offers low quality, unsafe cars, without air conditioning. Rent from a big name rental company at the airport if you need a car. Wide variety of subpar food. You have to pick the best of the worst. The guy on the beach selling conk shells and star fish will also offer you weed and cocaine. This may work for some, not us.
The staff was great, very helpful. The shows.
Need more options at the hotdog & hamburger bar ( chilli & cheese). Ice cream bar.
The location was great its right on a private beach. There is free non motorized water sports which was nice. And there was a show in the evening after dinner. However its no five star resort but you will find that everything is fair...
Food was bad. Employees were not all that friendly
Great beaches, most staffs are good,
Front desk ladies are not friendly. They don't explain all the options properly. Food is not good at all. Dessert items are old.
The general arrangement of the rooms with just two stories and in our case right on the sand near the sea.
Canteen food, same fruit each day. Very sweet dilute juices. The resort is just a jumbo size motel! Large enough room with just two beds and very little storage. Small bathroom with no fittings in shower. Generally very poorly finished.
Location, ease of doing many things without a huge crowd, dining was easy and good, most of staff was pleasant and willing to help etc.,
some of bar staff were not real friendly or cooperative and often sloppy in making drinks, dining was good but often out of food early and slow in getting replenished and same with dishes. I appreciated the guest services mostly until we were trying to get transportation to leave and then it really got bad and I could never get an answer on the price or if I was charged and how much I was charged....That should not be.... Asked for transportation and it finally got there 45 minutes later after I had to press the issue several times.... BUT, otherwise the guest services were great and I did appreciate there efforts. checking in is way too slow and time consuming with all the paperwork... this must be a headache for everyone concerned.... Hard to get washcloths and towels as apparently the laundry is the problem... I am from the US and like my meat and the meat there needs to be much better and not paper thin as the steaks were...I am NOT trying to complain, but rather point out things that I feel you could improve upon and you will see happier guests...Oh, I definitely did not appreciate the locals trying to pressure sell you their products at the beach and their rudeness and they pestered everyone for free drinks and or food all the time... I came here to get away from the same stuff that goes on in Mexico but it appears we cannot get away from them pestering the guests.
All other employees were outstanding.
Your front desk staff took over an hour to check my family (3 rooms) in. I had my confirmation letters with numbers. You have a major customer service problem. Every time I stay it is very very slow. Please help these front line people with a review and training.
