amazing food. friendly staff!
The self-catering facilities are pretty comprehensive. There is plenty of parking out the front of the hotel.
The hotel is pretty removed from the main town. It is a 30 minute walk or a 10-15 minute golf cart ride. Also I'm not sure if this is all year round or just in October but the beach smelt pretty funky and this seemed to only really be an issue at Banana Beach Resort. As soon as you walked up the beach north the smell disappeared.
It was much further into town then I expected. You have to ask for wash cloths and beach towels. The resort is pretty quiet except during costa maya. A nice place to lay out by the water or take a swim in the pool, you won't find a beach that you can just walk In to the water. The room was clean and the price is right. 10 dollars Belize for a cab into town or a twenty minute walk on the beach. The restaurant wasn't any good, so I brought my own coffee and drinks. There is a cool bar next door on the beach at mata rocks open 8-8. I would stay there again but I would shop at the grocery store on my first day! It is safe and has a nice view.
They don't seem to know how to handle guest who are being loud and obnoxious. The restaurant isn't any good, but it is close to local stores and pubs. My bed was way to hard! The spare bed was more comfortable.
Very relax. Plus the restaurant provided the best meal during our three days there.
Large rooms, great A/C, food was really good at the restaurant, awesome service and friendly staff :)
Pools were not cleaned regularly and unheated / cold, no hot tub. Internet says each room only will hold 2 people could easily sleep 5. Far from the main area so u either have a far walk or have to rent a golf cart.
Very friendly staff, no minimum stay, rates for Belizeans, perfect location, very clean beach.
Comfortable accomodation, helpful and friendly staff, clean and quiet room, hotel paid for our taxi when we arrived and when we left
30' walk from San Pedro town core, relatively overpriced for what it offers
Easy access to pool ocean and town. Nice big suite with large separate rooms one housing a full kitchen and living room. They changed our shower head the moment we complained.
Friendly and helpful staff Beach location Good bar and restaurant Short taxi ride into San Pedro town
Sea full of sea grass, with poor visibility.
The location was great. It was good value for the money. We like having a kitchen and more room than just a bedroom and the "suite" we were in was roomy and nicely appointed. We were happy with everthing!!
Smart people. Especially Leivy at the bar. Good place for small budget.
Male personnal looked jaded excepted manager.
The staff were fabulous very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had excellent food and the staff were all exceptionally friendly as well The location was great, right on the beach where you could walk anywhere. I would highly recommend your resort
There was nothing I did not like.
The staff was super friendly. The accommodations were everything we expected and more. We recommend banana beach to anyone coming to San pedro. A+++. Thanks to the whole staff. Not once did we walk by an employee without a pleasant smile and a greeting.
We had two rooms and the suite was very nice. Reception was very helpful and thorough. It was appreciated that Banana Beach paid for our cab to bring us out to the resort from the water ferry station.
Keys to the door of my standard room were very difficult to operate. Had to call for help to get into my room. Cabs into town were not always as easy to get as I thought they would be.
Good value for the price we paid. Upgraded to suite at no extra cost. Small kitchen in the suite and refrigerator were a plus. Suite is a good size. Location is within 7 minute taxi/golf catrt drive to Sand Pedro center but walking would take 20-30 minutes.
Regular room with queen bed is relatively small and they wated to put twin bed for my teenage son which would make it very crowded. The hotel is not particularly new and in need of rennovation.
Clean Great maids beds were good
Didn't honor free breakfast because it wasn't booked directly to Banana Beach Resort's webpage. The beach area behind the resort is very small. The TV was a 14" old style. The wifi is slower than dial-up and you only connect literally one in fifteen attempts. The chairs in the room are like lawn chairs and the table is about 18" diameter. Only stay here if you don't know any better. Ramon's Village is a much nicer resort and would be the place to go if I return.
Great help booking snorkeling, fishing, restaurants. Lovely pool area and beach area where you see sealife as you sip a soda, beer......
Guy by the name of Bob who lives/owns a unit. Obnoxious.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that you could sit on the beach in front of the hotel with a great view of the ocean. With its two pools it is great for families. There is a large resturant inside and tables out side. Service was excellant and so was the food. Its a 20 minute walk along the beach to town.
