Nice setting with view at the river Very nice clean rooms with a balcony Near barboon sanctuary
Food poisoning from the restaurant, which ruined the holiday. Apparently the food has not been fresh but had been reheated. As the restaurant is relatively expensive, the food should at least be fresh. The Management of the hotel has been informed. Unfortunately due to the remote location no alternative restaurant was available.
Row boat available for rowing down the river. Beautiful. Morning we had monkeys to great us. Great caring staff. Served cocktails to us in the pool at 10 PM. Permitted us to store our car there for 5 days. We would stay there again.
spacious rooms, great location by the river (mosquito nets in the room and at the restaurant), friendly stuff - everything was great.
the shower needs a bit of mending... it is a bit old. but the rest of the room is great.
Very nice Resort conveniently located just 15mins from the international airport. We stayed on our last night and our flight the following morning. Our room was perfect, very high level finishes, super-clean and comfortable. The resort is also very nice, nice swimming pool, helpful staff. The restaurant was very good and we had a lovely dinner. You can hire pedal boats and kayaks for free which adds to the fun. Overall a brief but very enjoyable staying.
When I went to reception to pay my bill I was told that they had just carried out the payment for the room using the card I used for the booking, and was given the receipt. Nothing wrong with this, but as I had to pay for the extras (dinner etc) as well, I would have liked to avoid the double fee for 2 international transactions applied by my bank. I ended up paying in cash but I don't think it was the best way to deal with it on their side. As a side minor note the wifi router in our room did not work for the full staying. Despite having told the young guy at reception it was not sorted. There was a quite poor signal from a neighbouring building of the resort and we could connect to that. Not a tragedy, but overall for that money I would expect issues to be sorted more promptly.
Close to airport. Good for a one night stay when leaving Belize. Nice, large rooms. Clean. Nice river for canoeing or kayaking. Drive 8 miles to the Baboon Sanctuary. It is worth it. We saw howler monkeys. Meal prices are reasonable.
Not much to do other than the resort activities. Major landscaping is happening right now. Should be beautiful in a year or two, but is torn up right now. Our waiter was a bit cold, but the waiter for the table next to ours seemed excellent.
The proximity to the airport was good. The free airport shuttle was a great value added. The room was beautiful, nice new furniture, great large size room, beautiful comfortable king bed and great size washroom. The use of the complimentary bicycles and kayaks was wonderful. The Belize zoo night tour coordinated through the hotel was fabulous and our tour guide Kenny was amazing and very personable. The complimentary breakfast was nice.
The restaurant service was not exceptional, staff did not seem pleasant or seem to enjoy providing quality service to patrons. The restaurant is dark and dingy and there are no other options nearby. The food was just okay compared to other restaurants in Belize - my partner also got sick. The pool's filter was broken during the duration of our stay so therefore it was not accessible - also it didn't seem like they were too concerned about fixing it anytime soon. The wifi in our room was not functioning, neither was the cable TV - however there was nobody at reception available in order to have it looked at or fixed.
Saving grace was that it is close to the airport
This place was dirty, way overpriced and the tours were staffed by people who didn't have much more knowledge than we did. Hugely disappointing way to end our trip in Belize.
wonderful staff....very accommodating and eager to provide assistance for every need we had......delightful location on the river and very well kept on attractive grounds...guides that took us on our tours to the Mayan ruins and Zoo etc were enthusiastic and knowledgeable....meals were well prepared and choices were sufficient.
leaving.....although a couple of days it would have been nice to have another staff member on duty to assist with serving dinner in a timely fashion
The rooms were spacious and very well designed.
Location- you needed a car to go anywhere
This property was exactly what my family was looking for. Exotic and mysterious, with a river with crocs, trees with monkeys, iguanas running freely, and awesome adventures to book - riverboat trip to Lamanai. The management has picked excellent staff especially Kenny who made all of us feel right at home. The food surprised us by being fabulous and although the rooms were simple, they were comfortable enough. My favourite place of the whole trip!!
Lovely location and relatively close to the airport. Large clean rooms and everything worked.
Kudos to Doug and staff. We had a very pleasant stay. Much appreciated Super Bowl Party, not the outcome we had hoped for, but Doug took care of us for tours, super bowl party, good food, nice comfortable rooms.
after they upgraded us, it was a nice room but still a lot of money for what we got and the internet was poor. keep quitting.. and was weak if it did work. liked the flowers on the bed but they didn't make the towels into swans like in the "picture"...
our first room, the toilet seat was broken, the table had rusted legs, cracks in the wall... a cheap looking mural, tv kept quiting, internet was more off than on, no easy way to get the phone to work... definite disappointment.
Owner Doug and management staff were friendly and very helpful. They made special arrangements for our small group and other guests for a terrific super bowl party.
A few mosquitos in the evening.
Great staff. Amazing people.awesome facilities, beautiful place. We had an amazing time with them.
Neglected to tell us that that only charged us half the payment up front. We were forced to pay double the price when checking out. The only inidcation that we were charged only half at booking was a tiny sentence in the middle of the document at the end of a paragraph. Like no indication whatsoever. I feel robbed.
Great location for exploring the outdoors and the staff is great at arranging tours and transport. Free airport shuttle and attentive service! Not a "resort" per se but very nice for the price and the perks (great free breakfast).
Very convenient to travel the country if you have a car. Staff tried hard to do everything we wanted. Not close to restaurants etc so a car is recommended.
Back rooms didn't have much sound insulation if that matters to you. We were fine with it but it is a heads up!
We loved how it was our anniversary and we were upgraded to a better cozy room...The Staff was amazing very helpful and attended to all our Needs....Kurt was great and Ceaser was awesome with taking to my husband his hometown..Overall great staff and lovely place to relax..We will rebook again and spend out time here...
Pleasant property set about 15 mins drive from the airport and right on the banks of the Belize River. Smallish pool but adequate for a dip if it gets really hot. Room was large, well appointed and comfortable. Windows are small though so not much natural light gets in. We had lunch twice and dinner once in the main restaurant which was simple but good - although the comprehensive dinner menu provided in the room was not actually available when we got to the restaurant which was just offering a limited number of specials but then at least you know the food was fresh.
. A scrappy selection of fruits under cellophane, cereals in Tupperware and do it yourself coffee machines and toasters. Really couldn’t see why they didn’t just serve it in the main building, especially since if you anything more than the complimentary comprehensive breakfast, it came from the main kitchen anyway.
Great location for travel. We stayed here after staying at a jungle lodge and found the rooms much more comfortable. The riverside location was very relaxing.
Back/lowest price rooms didn't have much sound proofing.
The staff were brilliant
-Nice simple big rooms -good location on the river, though not sure how much there is to do there
-the use of the term "resort" seems a bit grandiose. It's a nice simple hotel a bit aways from everything
only in the restaurant the waiter was very kind
when it was raining the terraces on the rooms and all the floors were very very slippery (like ice) very poor breakfast, location of the breakfastrestaurant was ok but looked like a canteen, no wifi
I had no hot water, the staff made no mentioned and offered no compensation, alsonon your web sitebit mentioned airport shuttle but it wasnt stated it was free. I had to pay out of pocket.
