D'Nest Inn

Hostess drove me to restaurant for supper and picked me up--said it was too far to walk! Walked second night and it's probably less than a mile! Saw more birds there than in any other place on bird walks. Easy access to city bus line.

D'Nest is a great B&B outside the hustle, and bustle of Belize City. It's close to both airports which made it a great place to crash after arriving in Belize, and stay the night before flying home.

Superb quiet location with spacious tastefully furnished rooms. The couple who own the place are very warm, helpful and friendly. We feel it is excellent value for money and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of staying in Belize City.

Little to no hot water. Pretty expensive for what they offered.

It was a convenient place to relax not far from the airport, and not in the middle of the city. The folks were friendly and very helpful.

It wasn't the cleanest, and they only gave us one towel etc for our stay.

I had a nice stay for 1 night on my way to ambergris caye. Very nice friendly hosts. Comfortable room. Wifi connection. Close to grocery store and atm. Not much to do in Belize city. Good clean safe place to stay. Great value.

Was very relaxing , rooms were clean and home was very inviting.. Breakfast was very good!

It is quiet and a lot of wild birds, and vegetation

There is not a restaurant close to the Inn. You have to walk at least 3/4 of a mile. The neighborhoud is isolated and dark at night. If you have a car is ok. We have our tour guides to pickup us at the inn, and after the second day to drop us in a restaurant in town, then we took a taxi to the inn (negotiate it!!) The cost can be $5 US to $20 US.

I rnjoyed the couple running the inn. They were very friendly and helpfull. You couldn't ask for nicer people when you are staying away from home.. Would recommend them to anybody visiting Belize.

The road getting into the inn was a little rough.

Economical and close to the airport.

There is no reason to visit Belize City as a tourist, but if you are going to stay a night(s) near the airport, or you rent a car and want a "base of operations", this is a very good option. The host and hostess are great. Good value, *great* hosts, convenient location to the airport and city water-taxis. Gabby helped me make tour and car-rental reservations.

Charming hosts. A great breakfast. Nice garden location on a pretty canal. Room was spacious and had very nice family/antique furnishings. Tip. If you are headed to the airport, check at the breakfast table who else is, as a taxi for the short ride is $25us.

Restaurants not close, altho there is a huge supermarket a few blocks away with a deli case.

D'Nest Inn was recommended by the Moon Guide for Belize, and we found their favorable write up to be accurate. Our host and hostess were warm and welcoming, the breakfast was great, and the room was magnificent. We chose the location because of its proximity to the BZE airport, but enjoyed our stay more than we expected.

уютный семейный отель. завтрак подается в красив декорированной столовой. хозяйка очень приветлива. мы задержались на границе и прибыли в отель поздно ночью. очень хотелось кушать. по просьбе дать нам "some bread or tea" она ответила, что размещение подразумевает только завтраки. но потом поняла суть нашей просьбы и принесла нам в номер омлет, колбаски, бананы, чай с молоком и 2 огромных бокала фреша из дыни. причем этот полуночный бонус не добавился к стоимости проживания. такси до порта - 5$ us

Belize city är kännd för att vara farligt med mycket kriminalitet. För mig var jag bara där för att jag skulle med flyget hem från Belize.

Vriendelijk ontvangst! De kamers zijn netjes en schoon. Het ontbijt is prima, niets van te zeggen! Wij hebben deze B&B uitgekozen omdat we de volgende ochtend vanaf de luchthaven van Belize City moesten vliegen. Ligt in het midden van Belize City en de luchthaven. Het is echt een familie aangelegenheid. Kinderen, kleinkinderen, alles en iedereen loopt hier in en uit. Je moet er wel tegen kunnen. Zijn allemaal erg vriendelijk en willen allemaal een praatje met je maken. Voor een nachtje prima.

Lovely characteristic house, only 4 rooms, nice garden. Free wifi, lot's of tv channels, spacious room, hot shower. Great breakfast! The staff is very kind and helpfull.

Location in a suburb (but on the positive side it's close to the airport).

It was not at the other places I stayed in Belize - so other places did not compare. None were as good in any respect, but this place can only be in one spot, but would be a great lodging anywhere in Belize - wish it was.

This is an ideal place if you want to spend a night after arriving at the airport and before heading out to tour Belize. The hosts are fabulous and friendly; the room are gracious and comfortable. The only drawback is that it is in a quiet area so there is not a lot around (although there is not a lot in Belize City either) but the hosts are extremely helpful and can get a taxi in a few minutes. They also took us to a great local restaurant that we would never have found by ourselves. I would not pass by without staying at D'Nest.

Proximity to airport and the fact that the owner took us to the airport and charged only a mininal fee for doing so.

We chose D'Nest primarily because of the very favourable reviews on Booking.Com which recommended the guest house because of the very friendly owners and the fabulous breakfast. The owners are indeed very friendly. However, we were overall disappointed.Our room was fine but we had to ask for toilet roll and towels as none were provided. Soap and other toiletries were not provided at all. We were disturbed by a party that was being hosted by the owners- loud music and screaming guests until after midnight. Fair enough but it begged the question, why had they accepted a booking when they were hosting a party that night? The breakfast was most disappointing- coffee with whitener and scrambled egg and tortillas with a meagre spoonful of beans. No fruit, no juice, no choice. Can't imagine where the rave breakfast reviews originated from because this was really not acceptable.

the location was horrible. Unless you take a cab you have to walk at least a mile and half to go and eat. And I would not go out walking after sunset. The breakfast was so small that there is no way you could eat at there ( breakfast is included) and have enough energy for outdoors adventures in the belize heat. Also, no one is ever around if you truly need anything or have questions.
