Stayed here for a few nights and it was excellent. Mikeal and his wife were more than helpful. Thanks guys !

Avoid the Bakadeer Inn!! The couple who manage it will suck you into paying more for anything they can figure out. Example: I was going to the airport to pick up my friend. The manager told me if I wanted to wait an hour at the airport, her husband would be there to pick up another customer. We could then have a ride back with him. We did wait the hour and rode back to the Inn. But after we arrived, we then were told we had to pay $25 each, even though he was already being paid by the person who had ordered the pickup. And the man (Mikael) got very obnoxious when I questioned his ethics. We could have used a normal cab for $25 total and saved the hour's wait. Get ready to pay $2.75 for a cup of morning coffee, etc. etc. I suggest giving the Bakadeer a miss. There are many other choices.

Good place for one night stay before heading to the islands.

The owners and staff were super nice, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was an excellent right around the corner. Great breakfast.

It was affordable and everything in Belize city was within a $5 cab ride away.

Belize city is pretty rough. If you need to be in town, it works fine though.

I booked with you, & PREPAID,As required...for one night 12/6/12 When I arrived I was asked for my credit card & was charged again , have contacted Owner & he claims he had not received payment from you....HELP!

It was about what I expected. Many backpack travelers on budgets like I was.

Everything. The Hotel was in a very rough area of the city and was run down and dirty. There were no facilities (Catering/ice/snacks/refrigerator). The room was noisy with a very old and poor air conditioning unit. The description given on the "Booking.com" web site was very misleading. This hotel is not suitable for western visitors and is in an area that is dangerous and should not be recommended for use by unarmed guests! Your description cites the areas that are within walking distance of the property, however, walking would be extremely dangerous and foolhardy. Your description speaks of a restaurant, be serious there is a dirty cupboard with some very old food preparation equipment but no chef. There is a small dirty foyer and no "spacious lounge area" as described. What was it about room service?? Please do not recommend this sub-standard flea pit to anyone again. We took photographs of the area, hotel and room and would be happy to provide them to you if required.

I love that it's run by a very sweet family and that they truly make you feel at home. It's not as costly as some of the other hotels in the area and it's centrally located and with in walking distance from the downtown. It's in a quite residential part of town which I really enjoyed. The room was very clean and simple with a soft mattress and fresh towels. I wish there was a cheaper option for backpackers but other than that I thought this hotel was really great and I'm happy to support the local economy!

I wish there was a better rate for backpackers. $50 us is a lot for a traveling student on a budget.

Very accomodative for a family. Simple, a little worn out, but clean and well kept.

Location is off downtown, but still relatively practical. Residential neighborhood, not affluent, but safe to walk during the day. Short taxi ride to business or tourist area, if needed.

It is not far from the Water Taxi to the islands. The breakfast was fair to the price.

The rooms are a bit crampy. It is not the best neighborhood at night. I think it is best to be at home before 8 in the evening.

We did not care for it and will not stay there again. I believe your four star rating is grossly over stated. One star at the best.

Dark and Dismal, undergoing works when we stayed. No food or drink available.

Nice hotel - as described. Friendly staff and management available to help with advice and travel plans. Comfy bed and everything worked - hot water, aircon etc. While Belize is more expensive than surrounding countries, given whats available in the Belize city area - while this hotel seems a little expensive in terms of value for money it is ahead of the the competition.

The staff are friendly and supportive with out plans. Helpful and respectful.

location in the city... very dark area to park in street... didn't want to leave items in car... afraid of breakin... but all was okay in morning

The lady at the front desk came in late on Sunday. I tried to go running in the morning but I was locked in. I thought how dangerous this was that there was no way to exit the building in the event of a fire. The room --particularly the sink and bathtub were not well cleaned. The pillows were hard and huge--not useable.

Cucarrachas en el baño y personal poco amable y con mala disposición. Nunca volveré a este hotel y no lo recomiendo a nadie!

Pas de fenêtre, ou fenêtre dont le rideau ne peut être ouvert du fait que celle-ci donne sur un couloir permettant l'accés vers les autres chambres. Propreté de la moquette laissant à désirer. Qualité de l'image télévisuelle trés moyenne.

ホテルスタッフが大変フレンドリーで、いろいろこちらの要望に応えてくれました。また、近所のローカルレス- トラン（朝食とランチのみ）は安い割りに美味しかったのでオススメです。

ロケーションがイマイチで、夕食ができるレストランが近所にないことに加え、夜出歩くには物騒です（スタッ- フからも夜はタクシーを使うように念を押されました）。夕食はタクシーを使って移動するか、デリバリーを頼- むかどちらかしかないので、ちょっと面倒でした。
