Lewis was extremely friendly and welcoming right from the start. We were planning on doing our scuba diving certification on our trip but my boyfriend didn't have a chance to finish the online portion before his tablet completely died. Lewis and Julia let him use their tablet so he could finish the course, such a small gesture but it saved our trip! They made our first night in Belize enjoyable. It felt comfortable to be there and I would gladly go back there if I ever needed to stay in Belize City again.

It's not walking distance to any where to eat. There is a super market down the road where you can get some food, but not tons of choices for food that doesn't require cooking. We only stayed one night before moving on from Belize City so we didn't bother getting a cab anywhere, but I'm sure we could have found food if we chose to do so.

I was met on the airport on time. They met my room accommodation request. Helpful with questions. Drove me to my starting location for my tour. Very friendly.

Nice location away from the main street and traffic. Huge balcony for relaxation. Not walking distance to downtown, but staff will drive for a small fee. Service minded and friendly staff. They gave us a lot of useful tip, what to do and what not to do in Belize. Much value for money.

Not walking distance to downtown and / or nearest market.

Clean and comfortable for the price

Located in residential area with a taxi ride to downtown. A distant walk to any restaurants or small stores. Advertised as a Bed and Breakfast however food is not included. Owner will cook but charges for meals and beverages.

We had a very good experience with Julia and Lewis. Recommended to us by Slickrock Adventures as "not a fancy place but clean". It was a nice and homey atmosphere. Nobody bothers you, yet if you need something, someone is nearby. You keep a tab for the Belikin Beers you take from the fridge, and for a reasonable price, Lewis will prepare a gourmet dinner (breakfast too, though we did not do breakfast). This is a real plus since you are out of town (which, believe me, is a good thing) since there isn't too much for dining within walking distance. You can get a sandwich from the nearby Brodies Market or prepare food in the little kitchen at the Inn and eat it on the deck, which has tables, chairs, hammock and sofa...very comfyl They offer an airport pickup, as well, which is a better deal than a local taxi.T he place is located in a nice neighborhood good for walking and hanging out while enduring your layover in Belize City.

Disappointed. An old house. A bed is terrible. The house is middle of housing area without a sign. The location is bad. You can find a better place with less money. I am wondering how they got so high rate score.

Lovely location in a quiet neighborhood. The owners were fabulous and the food was superb. They were very helpful in accommodating my need for a gluten-free diet.

I enjoyed the quiet. I liked the employee who drove me. The room was clean and wifi worked fine.

It was too far from the city to walk. The hosts picked me up, but charged $15. They deposited me the following day for another $15. The breakfast fruit was draped with a chemical 'chocolate syrup', which made it inedible. Of course, you guessed it, breakfast price was $15. To be fair, after discussion, the owner let me into the room before 3.00 pm, without charging me the $20 early charge which her husband had wished to charge me. By that time I had been waiting 3 hours around the property. Not an auspicious beginning. The 'pool' was an above- ground circle, good for 2 strokes one side to the other. Better than nothing, but close to misrepresentation. No public space apart from the upstairs patio, and the tiny 'pool'

Boss is very polite and helpfull. There is a tiny little pool at the rear of the house. Location is in a poch area and also because it has no sign it is safe. People are flexible here.

Forget the chinese food what can be delivered. many dogs around the premisses are barking whenever one starts.

Couple who ran the place seemed charming.

Bloody difficult to find. Promised wifi never worked. This was particularly evil since I had stuff I really needed to do before my flight.

Adequate accommodation for budget travellers who understand tropical places and don't have first world expectations. Friendly staff went out of their way to help us with tours to other parts of Belize. Close to a supermarket.

    Nothing major.

Staff are great, and very helpful, and good food too !!! Nice safe location also very quiet.

Unless you get a cab or bus nothing is very close, but this obviously is no fault of the red hut team.

Dinner on the deck was great. Excellent burgers.

The location is in a family neighborhood. Our taxi dropped us in front and drove off, we thought there was a mistake. The price was pretty expensive for this place. It compared to other Belizean hotels in the $25 range (not $60 us).

The welcome was very heartily, the room was tidy and clean with the airco already running. Plenty of warm water in the showers, coffee and drinks available all day and night, and a very nice and creatively cooked breakfast (at an extra) on the roof terras.

The bedsheets felt like nylon (?) and the tv remote control did not function very well (forgot to tell)

Julia & Lewis are great hosts, making sure you have everything you need. They can prepare great meals for you and offer a taxi service too. They will help you plan trips and offer advice if you want to 'do it yourself'. The supermarket is just a short walk and the bus stop is even nearer.

It's a 20 main bus ride into Belize city which is more of a transport hub anyway but personally I felt more secure being out of town.

We were unable to find the hotel because of the tricky location and with the help of a local with a cell phone the owner came to our location and led us in. Very, very friendly owner. He helped us order in, paid for it, delivered to our room and just added it to our bill. Also had a shared kitchen and bottled drinks on the premises.

The location was tricky and in deference to his neighbors there is not a sign pointing the direction.
