It`s a boutique hotel with small rooms. It looks like an European hotel. Breakfast it`s a real meal, but a poor croissant, with a cup of coffee and nothing else. Good point is well located, near restaurants and bars and cafes of Saint Catherine and Saint Denis Streets. |

We had a marvelous time at this extremely well-located hotel on the heart of Montreal . From the station is was a very easy walk to the hotel. The staff were super accommodating and extremely tolerant of English-speaking Americans. We were always greeted by an enthusiastic "Bonjour!". The courtyard used as the setting for "la petite dejeuner" is charming. There was some exterior construction going on, in early August, but it was not that annoying. Rooms were very comfortable The location is superb. You can stumble to the old port - underground and festival area Gardens are charming . The breakfast is a Croissants, baguels, coffee, tea, confiture, btr, mineral water . |

The ExcL Celebrities is an intimate small charming hotel, excellently placed, within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants that abound in the area where old montreal Latin Quarter meet in Montreal < In > area, just off the saint catherine street and next to the old port and underground city . The welcoming lobby in the boutique hotel has a roaring open fire , inviting sofas and chairs, newspapers and a bowl of apples. The garden provides a quiet place to relax during the summer months. Breakfast is served there it is a starter Breakfast like coffee, tea mineral water , baguels , croissan t free . to start the Day ., weather permitting, or in the small breakfast room, where a wide continental selection is offered, cleverly arranged on corner shelves to maximize space. An internet station is available to guests and operated with cards from reception and in the room with a Plug. The rooms Rooms are compact but retain a sense of space – some feature high ceilings and old wooden beams. All have been renovated in the last couple of years in a modern, unpretentious style. The décor is simple yet sophisticated – rich colours in solid blocks using different textures for variety rather than patterns. Furniture is limited to essentials – a comfortable bed (double in the classic rooms, queen-size/twin in superiors upwards), a narrow bureau and chair, minibar and TV. Those most recently renovated have built in TVs. A safe is housed in the small wardrobe which with the chest of drawers is perfectly adequate for a short break. On the walls, a large mirror and well chosen art or photos, many woods and old stone . we like it No Room service over the night . |

The room was even not close to what was presented on the website. In fact it was just a crowded miserable tunnel. The furniture and the carpet was dirty and cheap. One of the lamps on the ceiling did not work and the reading lamp was at the foot of the bad. The bathroom was completely miserable. The tiles around the bath were covered by an ugly, rotting wooden construct. |

Excellent value for the money for a well located downtown hotel. No elevator was not a problem for us, but may be for others. |

It was economical and had a certain amount of character...not any old sterile joint! Room 104 is dark, no window view to speak of and was near the main desk...the clerk had a long running conversation at 2 am and I could hear every word. There was outside noise as well. Well, I expect flaws at the price! |

The location of the hotel is the best thing about it. It is very close (walking distance) to Old Montreal, and a short subway ride away from downtown Montreal (St. Catherine's Ouest). Also, certain staff members were more than willing to help and do whatever was in their power to help us. The hotel was unprepared for our arrival. We even called them on the morning of arrival and they said there were no problems. Also, the place is not kept as clean as it could be. It is musty, and triggers a lot of allergies. The furniture looks nice at first, but when you look further, it is old and tattered. A lot of the fixtures do not work. |

It is really too much expensive to sleep in a wardrobe. The room includes nothing else than a bed, a tiny refrigerator and a tiny TV (installed on the wall above the head of the bed, it is hard to watch tv from below). I reserved for a room with a private bathroom and i had a shared bathroom... |

I stay in Montreal regularly and this is one of the places I often book. It's in a great location (underground conference center st catherine street just steps away). Good transport access in terms of the metro and buses from the airport or metro berry u or champs de mars from direct trains). And the hotel is simple, charming, warm and quite modern. Parking inside must be book before check in ,but oik parking is free from 9 pm to 9 am |

nothing - it failed to meet our expectations. it is probably good value for montreal. We checked in and then promptly checked out. The hotel smelled of paint and glue, verging on toxic fumes. Our bedroom window didn't open. I think the depiction as a cool boutique hotel is stretching it somewhat. This is actually a hotel that has been done up on a shoestring and it shows. The location while central is opposite the hospital and along from a homeless tent encampment. |

Close to downtown and subway station. Nice staff. Rooms nicely arranged and decorated. Heating not working in my room. It was quite noisy: I could hear my neighbours below me and in the rooms beside. Breakfast is not a breakfast: poor coffee and one croissant. I think it is an old building and renovations are needed. I would suggest to drop the breakfast service, they are plenty of great cafés around the hotel. |

A little romantic for one. Great Location, right accross the road from the hospital, next to a convenience store, great restuarants down st-denis street (street its on) literally 5 minutes walk. 10 minutes to old montreal landmarks. Bed room was the same size as the lounge and everything else. |
