Best Western Village Park Inn  

I will not be staying at this hotel again ....If they start charging for parking. We already pay enough for parking at the children's hospital I will continue to stay if you have free parking.

Location to the events we had scheduled.

The facility I know is old - our room had a cold draft blowing in from the outside through the wall heater. Had to have the heater on just to counteract the outside air. Heater was noisy. The front desk staff were great - managing my error in booking the wring night but they accommodated us. The really disappointing event was when we returned from an outside engagement - wanted to sit and have a drink in the lounge and watch a hockey game. We knew the lounge closed at 10:30 and it was 10:10 - but thought we would order and sit for a bit. The staff member working the lounge turned the "open sign" around at the entrance, walked over and turned off the tv, then proceeded to our table to say "last call". I said how long would we have to sit and enjoy our drinks; he replied very rudely; "fifteen minutes!". Funny thing is I walked by the lounge after they were to be closed and he seemed to be enjoying conversation with two folks at the bar. Worst customer service I have encountered and I travel extensively. Won't be back.

Pretty impressive place for Best Western. Love the indoor pool and hot tub.

Nothing, overall i was satisfied with the whole experience.

The room was very clean and the staff very helpful. We needed to go somewhere and the youg man at the desk even printed out a map for us.

The pool was a little cold and the hot tub wasn't ho at all. But it was still relaxing after a day of touring and walking in Calgary.

The room was clean and well laid out. There was plenty of room to set up my baby's play pen and for all of the stuff that comes with traveling with a family. They had put extra towels in the bathroom for us. We were able to relax in the pool and hot tub before heading out for the evening. We liked that we could control the temperature to our room from inside our own room. That was great!

The hotel staff could not immediately find my reservation, and so rather than look in other spots where it might be, they told me that I did not have a reservation and that they could not offer me a room. If I had not pushed them to look further, they would not have. I don't know if it was lack of communication with booking.com or if it was a problem within the hotel itself. It was horrible though to be standing at the reservation desk in another city, thinking that I was going to have to drive around and find another place to stay. In the middle of our conversation, the desk clerk picked up the phone and proceeded to have a conversation with the person on the other end and I had to stand there in person, waiting.

A very nice design in the rooms and dinning rooms,lounge.Had a nice stay!

Nice rooms, nice pool and hot tub. Liked the openess of the hotel.

You will appreciate this good hotel if you like new architectural structures for the aisles of the three floors overlook the restaurant and the swimming pool with a nice view. Our room was a standard, fine and spotless one.

The position of the hotel does not seem very convenient. You need the car to reach downtown and the one way streets around the hotel make driving in the desired direction difficult if you don't know the way (but this situation is common to other hotels in the area).

The cleanliness and comfort of the hotel was very good. Underground parking was available. Easy access to Calgary and surrounding areas.

The bar was closed Sunday and Monday and closed at 9.30 on Tues. We had relatives travelling with us celebrating an anniversary which I previously e mailed about and they were unable to celebrate that night !!

Clean, affordable rooms. Pool always helps when travelling with kids!!

First appearance from the outside was pleasent. The lobby was large enough to accommodate visitirs. The check-in & out procedures were efficient. Parking was above average. The room was more than adequate for the price paid. It was quiet for sleeping. The restaurants were very good and the value of the meals was good. The over-all experience met all expectations and \I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again or recommend it to others.

There was nothing I did not like about this hotel.
