Amazing room with river view Big and comfortable bathroom Excellent position Very helpful staff
Breakfast was a little buffet : good but always the same food
Location, access to both the lower and upper town, great restaurant , comfortable lounge, accommodating staff
Easy check in and check out. Good breakfast Front desk staff were extremely helpful. Beautiful lobby and great rooms. Wonderful shower! Great location. Short walk to pick up tours..
There was nothing we didn't like!
We really enjoyed our stay at hotel 71
Large room, good breakfast, very helpful staff.
Stains on our linen on the last day, first day they forgot to cover the blanket with a linen, only 3 bicycles available, so we needed to rent a second bicycle somewhere else as another couple booked the other 2 bicycles.
Great location. Near enough to walk most any place in the old town, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Room and bath were a nice size and really liked the hardwood floors. The restaurant provided a very nice breakfast. Would recommend for a pleasant stay in Quebec City.
We liked everything, location, room, staff everything was excellent! Would not hesitate to stay again and will recommend to all. The free bikes were a nice touch.
Breakfast was good but would be nice to have more choices after 5 days of the basically the same thing was time to go.
Location, friendliness of staff and free bicycle usage.
Check in no earlier than 4pm.
Excellent location within walking distance of all tourist sites. Room very comfortable and quiet with superb bathroom and probably the best shower we've ever come across. The restaurant is superb for both breakfast and dinner, but make sure that you make a reservation and can be very busy at breakfast.
Slight annoyance with reception, staff seemed to prioritise phone calls over the guests stood in front of them. When you did get their attention however the service was excellent.
Hotel was located in a quiet part of the lower city but within walking distance of the activities that were taking place during our stay. Breakfast was included. Friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing, other than the additional daily charge for parking the car.
We stayed for 5 nights and loved the place. Most welcoming front desk i've come across in a long time. The location is great, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the shower is Fantastic - you'll want to take it home with you. We had a 6th floor river view room and thats what you should go for. They also provide a nespresso machine in the room, which i love. You also have a help yourself nespresso coffee lounge. The front desk staff are so helpful and very knowledgable about the surroundings and they will sort you out with whatever you need, be it cirque du soleil tickets or car hire or bikes etc... The in house restaurant is also terrific, the continental breakfast is also very good. Should you want something else, they will direct you to a great place round the corner. There is no cooked breakfast available there, so we ate there 3 days out of the 5. I have travelled a lot, and this is one of the best hotel experiences i have encountered anywhere in the world. Highly recommended
The same with all hotels, its not cheap to get your laundry done. We went to a service laundry on rue st jean and got the lot done for $12, dropped it off at 9 and got it at 2pm. Hotel cost was that for a t shirt and 2 pair of underwear. We only travelled with carry on luggage and had 5 days of washing to do each, so a decent bag full. This is NOT a dislike against Hotel 71, just a fact of hotel life.
Free bike rental :) Close to everything.
Staff was great room was amazing Will definitely go back for another visit next year Highly recommend this hotel for anybody that's going down to Quebec city
Beds very comfortable Staff very helpful View from corner suite is fantastic as is central location Would definitely consider staying here again
Inadequate storage in the bedrooms - even in the Suite. Very little space to hang your clothes Would be better if had a hot breakfast option as well as continental
Excellent location Very helpful and pleasant staff Accommodation (suite) was beautiful, spacious and comfortable
Some lengthy delays to retrieve our vehicle from the valet (not really a problem, it was a beautiful day so we just enjoyed the surroundings)
Very nice hotel, super modern and elegant. Great shower. Great bed. The breakfast in the morning is also a nice bonus with fresh fruits and yogurt, cold cuts and cheese (and it's all free).
There were 2 phones in the room and neither of them worked. There were no curtains in the bathroom.
- They show off with great views, but we stayed in a suite and they put us at the 3th floor ->:<.. hotel was perhaps full at arrival, but the day after it was not. - The porter broke our luggage. - Music to loud at breakfast. - Cheap in coffee and tea in the room.
Property was great. Our room was on a high floor with a great view of the river. High ceilings, plenty of room, and very comfortable. Staff was very attentive and quick to assist (thanks Max!!) Located in in the lower city; close enough to excitment but far enough away for a little peace and quiet. A great find. Highly recommended!
That we had to leave....
Second time there. Nearly perfect as usual.
Not sure what they could do about it, but the rooms are too dry in winter due to the central heating.
Cute hotel, it’s well located right in the old town. Bicycles are available for the guests free of charge. Very nice staff, always friendly , including the concierge employee. Coffee machine in the room, good shower and spacious bathroom. It’s a good choice in Quebec.
Needs some attention in the cleaning and bathroom fixtures (hangers), but those were not a big trouble. As always, I’ve missed a place where we could sit our second suitcase. No bidet or detachable shower head next to the toilet, what sounds really weird not only to Europeans, but also to Brazilians, who are hygiene freaks.
Loved almost everything. My second time staying there. It's an expensive hotel, but you get what you pay for.
Check-out was a bit unpleasant with the girl I dealt with (she was by far the exception, everyone else was stellar). I had a $450 restaurant charge on my bill. I think she could have been more apologetic about it. I then asked if she would hold my bags so I could go shopping for an hour or two. She told me to go get them from the room myself, and then asked me to tag the bags myself after I brought them downstairs. I had just spent $400 for one night (not including the $30 in tips I gave out), she didn't deliver the exceptional service I paid for and expected, and would have gladly tipped additionally for. Really left a bad taste in my mouth from what was otherwise a really incredible experience.
We so thouroghly enjoyed our stay at Hotel 71. It was like vacationing in Europe, The staff waws supurb, and very professional. We had a wonderful time.
