Close to the falls, nice room, very comfortable.
High priced for what we got. Breakfast was so-so. Muffin was great but eggs were just ok-expected more. Didn't realize price we were quoted was per person.
We really enjoyed our stay at A Moment in Time. There are only three bedrooms, and the house was very quiet. It really felt like we were the only ones there, even though during one night all rooms were occupied. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Jeannie (spelling? I think that was her name?) cooked and did some light cleaning (replaced the towels, made the bed) while we were out during the day. She was an absolute delight, giving us a few recommendations and answering any questions we had. The breakfast room is amazing. They have so many beautiful tea sets and old memorabilia. I ran upstairs to grab my camera during breakfast! The house itself is just beautiful. It's adorable from the outside, the gardens are so pretty, and the house is lovingly decorated. There are hundreds of portraits circa the early 1900s all along the stairway to the rooms. Location is great. It was a nice ~20 minute walk to the downtown area/Falls. We walked to get to the boat, and it was great not to worry about paying for parking. We had a chance to see all the rooms on the last morning, as the other guests had left much earlier than us. All rooms are very spacious, and have large bathrooms. Every bathroom has a large, jetted tub for 2, in addition to a standard stall shower. Each room has a large, king sized bed. All the rooms felt very private, and as I said, we didn't hear anyone except when walking up/down the staircases. It's definitely an older home (the floors creaked!) but that just added to the charm. The bathrooms were modern and everything was very clean. Also, the Internet was excellent. My husband was very worried we wouldn't be able to stream Netflix or anything, but we had no problems. The Internet was surprisingly fast. Kudos to the owners! I would definitely stay at this B&B again! We had a wonderful time. Great house, great location, EXCELLENT breakfast. Thanks again! :)
I don't know if this is a con, but we only saw David, one of the owners, once. It would have been nice to see them more than just in passing, but we never had any issues we needed to make them aware of.
The very pleasant and helpful staff. Away from the tourist masses, but only a fifteen minute walk to the Falls. Pleasant old world ambivalence of the residence and surrounding garden. Home made muffins at breakfast.
Met expectations - good value for money.
The B and B was in the middle of a residential area, but is a quite majestic remnant of old glory days. David and Doddie, the proprietors, are very cordial and affable fellows. A very pleasant stay.
breakfast, good location, free parking, hot tub, great price, helpful+nice+friendly staff
The house is full of old collectables, art and period furniture. The owners and staff were very welcoming. I loved relaxing out on the verandah. It is the perfect place to relax, while close enough to walk to the falls.
Very comfortable room, with Jacuzzi. Everything was clean. Delicious Breakfast
The owners and staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was very substantial and we didn't feel rushed at all. Lots of balconies and gardens to sit and stroll in.
My only little bother was that we got the smallest room available. The other two rooms were much bigger and I wondered why we didn't get one of those, even though we had booked way in advance, since last April.
+ excellent location- only a 10 minute walk to the falls (with free parking) + nice breakfast + king size comfortable bed + lovely Jacuzzi bath
This B&B was truly the best I've every stayed in - the room (in Shirff Tower) was spectacular in every way. Clean, comfortable, and incredibly beautiful!!! Breakfast was prepared to order every morning. I would stay here again in a second, and will recommend it to everyone I know traveling in the region.
Staff , gardens, charm
Pleasant sharing with other guests over breakfast.
Friendliness of our hosts, the charm of the place, the spa tub, the beautiful gardens, the exceptional breakfast
Street noise in the front room, but we got to move to a more quiet room on the side
All! Thanks a lot Stephanie :)
Nice old home converted to B&B. Nice breakfast.
Needs some TLC.
All aspects of my stay at this B&B was pleasurable and accommodating in every way. I can't wait untill I have to visit again. happy place with beautifully kept grounds.
We arrived late (10:45 p.m.) due to traffic at the border from U.S.A. and the owner had left a welcome note for us + our bedroom key at the entrance. A beautiful house in a peaceful corner, not a single noise at night. Very convenient private parking on one side of the house. Marvellous breakfast with home-made muffins and pancakes, fresh fruit-salad, coffee, juice and whatever one may wish for. The owner and other guests so friendly and helpful. A beautiful garden with lilies and many other species. A memorable experience.
We loved the Victorian charm and beautiful gardens. It was a pleasure to wind down the day on the front porch away from the hustle and bustle at the Falls. Although it is a fair walk down to the Falls, we opted for a cab ride back which was a reasonable $10.00. Breakfast was outstanding and graciously presented in the dining room. Thank you to Doddy for the box of Jasmine tea. I hope you are enjoying the Yorkshire tea in return!
Only thing missing was a step stool for the high bed!
I liked it all. From the bedroom to the bathroom. Breakfast as lovely David did an awesome job at preparing our food.
There was truly nothing I didn't like.
The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was great. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was a pleasant walk down to the falls, and relatively close to a WeGO bus stop.
We let the morning staffer order a car for us to get us to the VIA rail station. She called a friend (a private car, not a taxi company). He arrived half an hour late and we missed our train because of it.
The room was spacious, clean and charming .. the staff were very friendly.. the breakfast was great. All in all it was a very memorable place to stay.
The Rain !
Th breakfast was fantastic. The rooms were very nice and cosy. The garden was nice.
walking distance to the falls attractions nicely decorated large bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs
our room had ants--a LOT of ants. We discovered them when we woke up covering our luggage. When we told the staff person at breakfast their only response was to ask us how the ants had gotten into the room. There was no one to greet us when we arrived--instead there was a key taped the door with the name of our room (we arrived at a normal time, about 5pm)
